Hi, there’s a crab bait up demonstration in this video- Teakle's Tackle Talks- Making A Dongle Rig & Bait Up Tutorial ua-cam.com/video/Mbvx8MZixes/v-deo.html
I’ve never ever stripped a crab down. Freeze it exactly like it is, preferably vacuum packed (cheap vac packers in Lidl occasionally) and it will be perfect when you come to use it. The trick is to freeze crabs that are ready to use, ie splitting and popping out of their shells. Jansen
More logical thinking and good advice. Thank you, Jansen
Superb as always mate
Next time you’re out fishing can you do a video of how to hook them up.

If you keep them for a week or more, do you feed them anything, or will they last without?
@@simonthurlow6120 No, they will be fine as they are
Hi mate, I was always led to believe that when you freeze peelers down you should remove the lungs. Do you think it’s not a problem ? Great blog mate

Thanks for the reply Jansen
Can l do this with hard crabs till they peel
I remove the lungs before freezing them it stops them going black
I’ve never noticed that before….
Can you get a hard back and leave it like that? Will it become a peeler?
Unfortunately not
So you don't put any water un at all ???
Hardbacks arent as good a bait for fishing for a good few species. But for hounds, have caught a good few on hardbacks at a local mark👍
