    Looks like you can be a 4.5 without a backhand groundstroke in the Milwaukee area. I should move there. 😅

    So happy to have matches back here on Real Tennis! I like the outdoor setting too and think it works better than some of the recent matches since the move. Looking forward to seeing Ian attack the net a lot in the 2nd set!

    I've been subscribed to ET for quite some time now and got to missing the match play. Earlier today i found this channel. My guess is a lot of other subs don't even realize this channel and it's great content exist yet.
    Glad i found it. I went all the way back to the match with Mark and Dill from 11 months ago. Crazy!

      Well.....you need to watch the ET uploads to know what's going on 😆. I uploaded a few times announcing the new channel, glad you found it!

    Loved this. Thanks RT.
    It truly feels like a multiverse reality when you watch the same match live and then with the edited version that just adds a level of brilliance that ads to the icing.
    Looking forward to part 2!
    Cheers!

      @@REALTENNIS So so true. I have done some basic editing on my channel and it's still a bunch of work.
      I just can't imagine the amount of video memory, sounds, music, syncing etc, and a really good level of developed talent one has to mix together to come up with a product like this. Like someone in your comments said a few years back, people don't often realise that you're a media company, producing tennis content.

    Awesome having an RT match again! And outdoors is terrific. We’re you not able to put the camera on the fence? I definitely think that a higher viewing angle makes it easier to see what’s going on, especially in the far court. But love the new content!

    Love this channel. One note for the commentators, continue your thought after a play interrupts your chain of though. I'm often left wondering what point you were making. Of course, all this is free so I'm not complaining, just some constructive criticism

    Should be good! If Ian hides some good s&v should pull through, good s&v beats ground stroke hustler. Especially if it’s hot.

  • @radshet3830
    @radshet3830 Рік тому +1

    Geez, took Ian way too long to commit to the net. Shouldve started the match that way. Ian has great touch and covers the lob well.

  • @patrickkeenan4084
    @patrickkeenan4084 Рік тому +2

    Ian - why not go full Maxime Cressy and serve and volley every time no matter what? You are so good at the net

    • @REALTENNIS
      @REALTENNIS  Рік тому +2

      Honestly, I really enjoy the physicality of the baseline, and I want to be better at that part of my game, so I almost always open my singles matches feeling out if it could work or not, unless I'm playing somebody who's clearly way above my level.

  • @caioscofield
    @caioscofield Рік тому

    chris-harder to lob outdoors
    lol unless it's crazy windy it's easier than indoors since there's infinite clearance.
    great game though, chris played very well, a whole 0.5 level above Ian.

    Ian just needs more matches. That said, he is a natural volleyer/serve and volley player. imo that should be his game and stop focusing on the baseline.
