So happy to have matches back here on Real Tennis! I like the outdoor setting too and think it works better than some of the recent matches since the move. Looking forward to seeing Ian attack the net a lot in the 2nd set!
I've been subscribed to ET for quite some time now and got to missing the match play. Earlier today i found this channel. My guess is a lot of other subs don't even realize this channel and it's great content exist yet. Glad i found it. I went all the way back to the match with Mark and Dill from 11 months ago. Crazy!
Loved this. Thanks RT. It truly feels like a multiverse reality when you watch the same match live and then with the edited version that just adds a level of brilliance that ads to the icing. Looking forward to part 2! Cheers! M
@@REALTENNIS So so true. I have done some basic editing on my channel and it's still a bunch of work. I just can't imagine the amount of video memory, sounds, music, syncing etc, and a really good level of developed talent one has to mix together to come up with a product like this. Like someone in your comments said a few years back, people don't often realise that you're a media company, producing tennis content.
Awesome having an RT match again! And outdoors is terrific. We’re you not able to put the camera on the fence? I definitely think that a higher viewing angle makes it easier to see what’s going on, especially in the far court. But love the new content!
Love this channel. One note for the commentators, continue your thought after a play interrupts your chain of though. I'm often left wondering what point you were making. Of course, all this is free so I'm not complaining, just some constructive criticism
im sorry but some constructive feedback here, the camera is 2 far away, I can't see the player on the opposite side of the court properly at times. Apart from that great video & love the commentary
Honestly, I really enjoy the physicality of the baseline, and I want to be better at that part of my game, so I almost always open my singles matches feeling out if it could work or not, unless I'm playing somebody who's clearly way above my level.
chris-harder to lob outdoors lol unless it's crazy windy it's easier than indoors since there's infinite clearance. great game though, chris played very well, a whole 0.5 level above Ian.
Ian just needs more matches. That said, he is a natural volleyer/serve and volley player. imo that should be his game and stop focusing on the baseline.
@15:34 💯 Nothing wrong with going 🍞 and 🧈 when things aren't going your way. I think it's a good way to reset the brain and forget about what wasn't working.

feel like I’m just watching a couple of friends have a match. i think that’s why i’m so engaged. thanks for posting.
Glad you enjoy it!
This is real tennis, that's why I can't get enough of these match play.
Real Tennis can be tough 😅
So glad you all are back on our screens. I love these matches especially with Sansait and The Angry Old Man in the announcer's "booth"
❤️
I'll admit when I see this color commentary duo, I'm in.
They're a riot!
Looks like you can be a 4.5 without a backhand groundstroke in the Milwaukee area. I should move there. 😅
Love the real tennis content. Happy to have it back

Thanks!
Keep it up ! That last point was killer, thought you had that Ian!
Ya, that was the biggest passing shot I've seen in a long time
Commentary was on point! Very entertaining set.
Thanks for watching!

Well.....you need to watch the ET uploads to know what's going on 😆. I uploaded a few times announcing the new channel, glad you found it!
So excited these are back! Really missed it. Ian, always heartening seeing you practice what you preach on the match court.
🙏

Makes it more obvious how much work the editors have to do when you see the raw feed...

Glad to be watching some RT matches again. I'll see if a limerick comes to mind to capture my joy.
Hello from A Greek.. Love your Channel and Tennis Buddies. 🔱💪🦅👍
Appreciate your support very much!
19:10 had me absolutely dying 😂
Great editing of that final sequence!!
👍
I wonder how much prep (if any) you guys do for these matches (training or strategy). Like when you played MEP or even Olive.
I publish all my prep (Ian). All the training sessions that get published are what I do....on the court.
Great to see you guys back!
🙏
what do you guys do for microphones for the players
On this match the players had on Tentacle Sync "Track E" mics
Great to see RT again and nice court
Amazing video guys !!! Lets go Ian !!!
The BWEH is back! 😂 So glad to see you all together again!!
🙏
THANK YOU IAN! I've been longing for another match :-)
More to come!
Glad these are back!
Those are some nice courts. Battle of the Lefty's.
💪

10-4
So glad you guys are back, our relationship is a better love story than Twilight.
😆
Nice play Chris, strong serving. Good adjustment Ian.
Thanks for watching!
For a while I was worried, thought it might get to 60. Glad you (Ian) found something in the end. Chris is on fire, though.
I was worried, too 😆
I wish I was there during the match…
🤔
glad ur back
if you want to see the ball well in replay please record in 60 frame per second format
For the record, I did NOT get a nose job. I just had scraped my nose on a zipper that day and it was a little messy.
who edits these vids
Few different people.
Welcome back!
🙏
his serve reminds me of when you try to coach someone and they overdo what you say and you wanna say "well not like THAT" but... it worked
😆💯

Ohh yeah!! We’re back!!
❤🔥
Keep up the vids i love these
🙏
ian was having a lot of trouble getting that topspin on his forehand
Chris's spin and aggressiveness is really powerful here. Let's see if Ian will step up from his defensiveness and turn things around!
Part 2 out now!
Going outdoors! He’ll yeah!
💪
From Christopher Nolan, "Ian vs the TWEENER ADDICT". 0:34 "Bwaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaahh"
😆😆
Not one top spin backhand. What happened to all that training?
I tore my shoulder last year hitting the drive. I'm not hitting it again until I'm 110%.
Give it another 4-5 years
yeeeeeeeee can't wait!
Almost time!
Should be good! If Ian hides some good s&v should pull through, good s&v beats ground stroke hustler. Especially if it’s hot.
💪
Geez, took Ian way too long to commit to the net. Shouldve started the match that way. Ian has great touch and covers the lob well.
More net on the way!
Ian - why not go full Maxime Cressy and serve and volley every time no matter what? You are so good at the net
Honestly, I really enjoy the physicality of the baseline, and I want to be better at that part of my game, so I almost always open my singles matches feeling out if it could work or not, unless I'm playing somebody who's clearly way above my level.

Agreed!
Did Mark break Scott’s nose for calling it “The Highlander”?
😆
Ian should definitely train a lot more, correcting his technique. After all he runs a tennis channel.
lol....the reason why I don't take time to train is BECAUSE I run a tennis business
Ian just needs more matches. That said, he is a natural volleyer/serve and volley player. imo that should be his game and stop focusing on the baseline.
I agree, I need LOTS more match play
Had to turn my computer upside down b/c they're both lefties
😆
lol
Ian's out of practice! Gotta get the movement back Ian. Lookin stiff out there!
💯
@REALTENNIS you'll get it back Ian. Just gotta put the oil in the joints. Hopefully you can start hitting a few times per week.
As a 38 year old USTA league player… some days the legs don’t wanna legs. No matter how much you warm up.
