Don’t know why but I teared up when you ran over the bridge. This. This is why I love running! Nothing is more amazing than having strangers cheer you on! ❤
What a lad!!! Your energy transferred to everyone that was around you. Well done bro.
Anya not even broken a sweat and she was powering the whole way! Very impressive
I was looking for videos of the London Marathon to watch, because I'm running the 2023 marathon for the first time (I ran three in the past, all of them were... not ideal, including a passing out at the 42nd km...)
But I wasn't expecting THIS. This was insane and so beautiful to watch. The crowds, oh my god!
And I have to know what Anya is doing, because that progression is amazing!
marathon crowds are the best energy when running! Love it!:)
Anya running with a smile the entire time is such a great feeling to see. Having fun throughout the whole race
The London Bridge part gave my whole body goosebumps 😊
Best part of any race in the world!! Can’t wait for it in 16 weeks time!! 🎉 I’ll bring you along with me again!
So proud of y'all! Anya, Ben, Nick + the rest of the team! You guys are awesome!!!
Love your energy and passion man!
You are a legend. Truly inspirational!
Awesome stuff.
Awesome run from Anya 👏and crazy video and antics from Nick 😎 - I don't think you were in control the whole time! 🤣 Enjoyed this immensely because I started running 3 years ago and did London 2022, my first marathon (hopefully of many) in just under 4 hours. Thanks for posting.
You are such a legend! I’ve never seen someone be so motivating and positive. I want you to be my coach!
Awesome video - really enjoyed it 🙌. Doing London 2023 - can’t wait!
Goosebumps watching this, really inspirational stuff. Fantastic teamwork between coach and athlete, wonderful to see. BOOMSHAKALAKA 🎉
Thanks! What a race! Just meant so much more having being her coach and been so for a while! What a run from her!!
Anyone else running London this year and spending the taper watching this on loop? 12 Days to go!!
Excellent video Nick, awesome vibe. I am running my first LM in 2023 which will be my first marathon since 2007, I managed to get a charity entry.
Awesome video. Anya is beyond incredible. What a run. Subscribed.
She’s a beast hey! And still has so much potential!! Thanks for subscribing 👊🏻 looking forward to making another LM video this year!
Well done!! I just found your page and was super inspired by the two of you. I am yet to run my own Marathon, but this just excites me even more. Thanks for the inspiration 🙏
This is what marathon running is all about 🎉 good luck and I hope you choose one with a good vibe!! It’s a pleasure 👊🏻
This is incredible! I’m new to running but just ran my first marathon in in NYC! Hopefully one day I can have speed like yours one day
JUST WOW!!!!!
Im so envious.
As a 22yr old I ran a (GREAT SOUTH RUN 1990) half marathon in 1:29. That was my first and last half marathon.
You've given me an incentive to do a marathon this year!
Amazing video...so so much inspirational mate
That’s incredible!! There’s hope for me yet 😂 I will be there cheering you all on this year
Mental how easy you made that look! Great vid
That's awesome!! You pushing your pack was 👌👌👏 and why did I think of Dinosaurs at the beginning of the video lol 😀🤣🤣👀
Just walked this before my last half marathon before london this year. Really motivated to get me out!! Let’s gooooo.
Impressive and extraordinary. Thank you for posting the video. I will be doing the London Marathon in April 2023.
Love the energy mate!
Woow 236🎉🎉 Congratulations‼️👍🏾👍🏾
Awesome footage, super fun crowd
Congratulations 🎉 wow what a fantastic atmosphere. Great to find you on Instagram & now here. A massive well done to you & Anya. This is the closest I have ever been. My last goal is to win a ballot place & run @LondonMarathon but the years are starting to pile up so fingers crossed after 9 attempts my be 2024 my year. Best of luck if your running 2023 London marathon. Can't wait to see the next video
Crossing thumbs for you champ! If you don't try then you'll never know. I'm looking forward to bringing this years LM to you too! Let's goooo!
Just subbed.... Great video & Anya smashed it!!!...well done.... 🏃♀️🏃♀️🏃♀️🏃♂️🏃♂️x
This video just gave me goosebumps, I ran in 2018 and I'm running again in 2 weeks! 💪 Can't wait!!
Nick energy is 🔥🔥🔥🔥
This is awesome!! Running London in April, so excited! Hopefully we get good weather. I just got my ass kicked at NYCM
Great video nick amazing
Just ran the 2023 London Marathon yesterday. First Marathon! Loved it so much. Tower bridge was unbelievable. I break it down into 8km sections which is when I have my gels. 4 lots of 8km up to 32km then two lots of 5km. The 5-6km after 32km was the toughest part mentally but with 4km to go I just paced it down the Thames and finished strong. Looking forward to doing it again in the future
Man your energy is infectious…running the 2023 london and need a similar energy pacer for my 3:30 goal
Amazing, good luck and I'll see you there!!! I'll be pacing a sub 3hr pack.
Anya is a beast! Tough as nails.
Anya is sooooo amazing!!!!
Made it look very easy , great power !!!!
Boomshakalaka ! Loved the way you fired up and appreciated the crowds on Tower Bridge. Ive done a few Londons, and the atmosphere is always incredible 👍😀
Congrats to Anya. Superb run !
wow, great video, congratulations
Great running!!!
Amazing Vid Nick, had me in tears of Joy and memories ....Your motivation and energy is Awesum 🙂 I can see Anya going sub 3:30.
As for me my last London was 1992 2:45 .......now nearly 60 y/o I'm aiming for a sub 3:15 in London with my club place with HHH. Last Oct Kosice Slovakia 3:17:30.
Happy running and coaching Matey. Rob
Glad you loved it!! Can’t wait for this year! I think it’s going to just epic! Good luck for that sub 3:15 in HHH colours 🔴⚪️ all the best Rob!
Great video Nick! I've lost count how many times ive replayed the 'Going over Tower Bridge part' Absolutely brilliant! 🔥 🙌🏼
Unbelievable hey!! It’s a part of the race I’ll remember forever 🎉 whether you’re feeling good or bad. Going over a full Tower Bridge is something else!! 💥
Yeah great but what's with running from one side to the other doing a "look at me, aren't I great". FIGJAM stuff.
Running my 1st marathon at London 2023 (tried the ballot, got in 1st time!). Came to find some videos that give me good sense of the vibe and this one was incredible. Even better that you're a fellow Saffer, Nick! I'd never run more than 12K before applying, but I've trained hard and am targeting a sub-4.
@@justalilbester I'll be picking up one of your SA flag vests from the Best Athletics store for the race.
You are very lucky getting into the LM for the first time, another post on this forum reports that he had tried NINE times and had not been successfull, I wish you all the very best for Sunday.
@@alanmorr3635 yep, I have a friend who has missed 10 times. The odds are about 1 in 10 apparently.
@@ctrlaltdylan I'll be cheering all the runners from my couch on Sunday watching it on TV 👍
It's crazy how people can run for this long without stopping. I always get a build up of lactic acid (aka fizzy drink feeling) in my left foot starting around 4k and have to slow down or start walking for it to subside. Hopefully I'll get there someday.
That was incredible watching! You have me so motivated - I got a ballot for 2023 and thinking 40yo can I do it? But DAMN you have me inspired!
Jeez Anya 😮 hell of a run girl
She’s come such a long way and I only going one direction 🚀 still blows my mind! What a runner
I want to be like you when I grow up!
Felicitaciones a éste gran Campeón ❤😂🎉😢😮😅😅😊😊😊😂😂❤🎉🎉🎉😢😮
Cool vid friend 👍
C'MON!!!!!
0-21km - warm up / 21 - 32 Km - going to have to work now / 32 - Finish - Race starts hahaha
Commenting this whilst you're running the marathon as we speak. Inspired to do it next year. I like making videos. Were you just running with the gopro camera in your hand?
Run London 4 times and doing it again this year. Anya did amazing, true runner with passion…. Doing it this year?
It’s the best! Yes I am indeed. See you there in a few weeks time! 🎉 Good luck!!
@@justalilbester I just watched another one of your videos and seen your doing an unofficial 3hr pacing. Wish I could keep up with you and tag along!
I'm running London this year having done it in 2018. Is the Championship start the same place as the GFA start? Blue I think?
So from my previous experience they’re different start areas and then link up after a few kms. But yes I remember championship being blue
Some segments are out of sequence (e.g. you’re on the Highway, then you cross Tower Bridge).
You make a good point. I wont lie it gets a bit tricky when you're filming on different devices, have lots of footage and try put it all together.
@@justalilbester Yes. Mixing footage from different devices is tricky for sure. I just happen to know the course very well so I know where everywhere is!
this guy runs a marathon in 2.5 hours and not even out of breath.
He basically wanted to do berlin and london at the same year... With only a week of recovery... and still ran a sub 2:40 marathon... and did not get a injury... how?!
por favor opcion castellano , mi hijo la corre este 23
Well done mate, can I ask what benefit the arm sleeves have? Running my 1st marathon in 4 weeks in London and debating buying some!?
Get some 👊🏻 I don’t think they make a big difference performance wise but they make you feel good and running a lot about ‘feeling good’.
@@justalilbester that’s a great point. Like smiling when running definitely helps! You running London again this year?
... Now what does Anya eat? Does she breath the same air?
2 hours improvement in 3 years? That's impressive. How did you do that?
@Nick Bester great. Thank you for your reply. I will search for that video. I discovered your channel yesterday while searching for tips about the London Marathon course. I will run it in 2 weeks. It will be my first time in the UK. Greetings from NYC 😊
@@AstoriaRunner amazing you’ll find it incredible!! See you there!! I’m also hoping to come do NY marathon later this year so potentially see you there too 🎉
Iam from India and its my dream to run London marathon ❤
Hopefully this helped you experience what the race is all about! Good luck and hopefully you get in!
Nice! ❤
I run also Singapore Marathon 2023 last week, 42k 😀😀
Posted on my channel 🏃♂️
Maybe I’ll join there also, next year 🙂🙂 Or some marathons in Europe.
Now I’m training for Cambodia in January 2024
Looks like Anja is the only one that stayed with you. What happened to the rest? Unless the way they break down a marathon is the same as me ie go out too fast and hang for dear life. The last 6-8 K is never pretty 😒
Yeah we seemed to pick it up slightly towards the end and at that stage of the race the pack broke up. That last 8k is always a killer!! But it’s what we train for!! 🙌🏻
That's what happens when you burn your bus passengers because you are too focussed on being the centre of attention.
3rd overall british female?? jeeeeeez
Nick this video is so inspiring to me 💪 🫶
Glad you love it MC! Can’t wait to make a new one next weekend 🎉 let’s goooo!
6 X 7 k
10 miles with your head
10 miles with your legs
10 kilometers with your heart
BUT I think I prefer Seki's 7K segments above - will try it out!
This is almost exactly the pace im going for this year at London and have watched this video on repeat for inspiration 😆
THERE YOU GOOO! Now you know how to do it! Good luck and let me know how you get along!
@@justalilbester almost killed me as I got stomach and calf cramp and only had 1 gel but managed 2.37.55 😁
That progression from Anya is genuinely insane 🤯 I'd seen her time on the day but didn't realise she'd come so far in so little time. Gives even the most stagnant of us hope!
Been amazing seeing her progression!! She’s far from done too which is the coolest part!!
Where can I see how she's progressed? 🙂
@@tonys6237 probably easiest to catch it on her Instagram. A.culling
@@justalilbester cheers Nick. Great videos. Keep them coming!
