Glad you like the seat!
🤯 thank you for making such a great seat. I’m giving the whiplash to a friend today 😂
@@Tardy_Productions We appreciate yah' Fam
Easily one of the best reviews of this seat despite 99.9% of riders not using it for wheelies and drifting.
That’s precisely what makes your review relevant to most riders looking at these seats.
IMO, a rider should never think about the seat when riding…Unless you’re thinking gosh my butt feels great or where’s my back pain? A great seat should make you want to jump on as you pass your bike to take out the trash.
It should, if it’s a great seat…Disappear.
Looking at it is different. We all want our bike to look good but ultimately it’s about what your bottom, arms, and back feel like after a spirited ride…
Well played my friend! Ride safe
@@darthdurkelthewise320 dude no joke this comment made my night. I’m happy it help brotha! Ride safe 💪
Thanks a lot for the great info! This saved me a lot of money on a Whiplash 😬
wow thank you for this review, going to have to fall back on the whiplash after seeing this. everyone raves about their craftsmanship but i guess they never were as detailed as this
The seat is nice for sure dude! I just can’t say I would pay that much more for one. The saddlemen is like 100-150 cheaper
@@Tardy_Productions it does look good but don’t like the damage it did to your tank and the damage it’ll possibly do to the rear fender, also don’t like that it’s coming apart underneath since they glued it down. I won’t be stunt riding or anything like that so I like how wide it is and it still looks good but just not sure now. Might look into c&c now, that have some nice looking options as well for the softail fat bob
I have ridden my Saddleman for well over 5,000 miles and it has still not broken in. On rides I had to revert to the stock saddle for comfort. Also, the gel inside heats up here in Phoenix and so that the saddle is unbearable to ride on. I complained to Saddleman twice and they offered to 'test' it and if there were no problems I would be penalized with postage. Lousy customer service! It is what it is....looks great BUT crazy hot gel in the summer and hard as hell. I just ordered a custom Whiplash 'Brown Bomber' after reading on line reviews and I am confident it will be a big step up from the Saddleman!
How do you like the Whiplash compared to the Saddlemen?
Is it just me, or does the bike sound different? It sounded...i dont know. Like, tinny? Maybe its the mic you used?
I think the saddlemen looks better on the bike though. The way it comes just short of the tank. Has a more chopper kinda feel to it.
It’s definitely more tinny, I’m not a huge fan of this exhaust compared to the one I made. It looks nice but I really don’t like the sound very much.
I couldn’t agree more, the saddlemen is just a clean looking seat. Definitely has a chopper feel to it
good honest review. thanks for the video!
Absolutely dude! id also check out the cheapo ebay version before you but a saddlemen, might save you a few hundred dollars...
Great content man!
Thank you dude! That means a lot
I ordered C&c seat which is same as whiplash but i am having hard time aligning the front bolt under the seat. Did you use stock bracket for passenger or the one they provided? I am very confused that why the front bolt is not aligning
Did you ever figure it out? Had the same issue with Saddlemen, I think I just needed to strong arm it.
@robertcaamano1887 I had my friend push down on the seat with knees while I tightened the bolt. You might want cut the bolt a little because it would strip the wires on the other side. Feel with your fingers when you tighten it. It's one once you have to put a lot of force to put the seat on and it will settle in a day to two then it's easy off and on
I have a street glide planing to do longer trips I am on the fence on getting the gambler with the gel will it be good enough for long trips?
Absolutely!
I have a question. Let’s say you were a rider who is arguably too tall to be riding a Bolt at all we’re to get that saddlemen seat, does it seem like it pushes the rider closer to the handlebars? Like, will my 6’ 5” ass be super bummed out on that seat over the stock seat?
Super good question, bro! The seat does push you forward slightly, so I think you’ll find yourself being a little bit more cramped than before.
Does either seat push you forward any? Like do they give you a “less leg room” feeling?
Both do slightly because of the back on them but the saddlemen probably does a little more. The whiplash lifts you up on the bike more though so it’s just a different feel for both
I think it really depends on the bike. I had a Whiplash on my old '21 Softail Street Bob and it sat very noticeably lower and farther back than the stock seat. It also fit perfectly where it meets the tank. I'm torn on which seat to get for my '22 FXLRS though.
@@AFireInside904 i got the whiplash on my 22 fxlrs, its awesome, perfict fit/finish, not sure why this guys seat is trash lol
Also the saddlemen moves you up/forward noticable.. the whiplash moves you down/back noticably on the 22 fxlrs, opposite to what this guy says, probs just different bikes
@@ftwnelson8163 That is what I'm hearing from everyone except this video about both seats but I'm also mostly reading only about new Softails.
Man this video is great! No wonder it took so long 😏
WHAT A GREAT AND USEFUL VIDEO!!!
Thank you! Happy it was helpful dude!
both seem to have a small pillion seat width ??
Pretty slim yes, but the whiplashes definitely sits wider
What seat sits you further back?
Both are very similar but I’d say the whiplash. Might want to look at other brands for that fit though
I’ll test out the passenger seat with you…
Perfect 😏
Any comparisons with a whiplash GAMBLER seat?
Saddlemen is the way to go
@@Tardy_Productions personal experience, or something you have heard?
@@joekid4662 personal experience. Saddlemen is the best in the game
Also grabbed a slick coffee cup at your store on the cheap
Thank you for getting one!!!
I've got my seat being made by MDU. I think whiplash makes them.
Interesting, I don’t think I’ve heard of them. What style you plan on getting?
@@Tardy_Productions looks quite similar. Double diamond stitching. Same sort of cupped seat design. I got their "square back" design. If you're on insta I'll share the post with you when I get it installed. Should be arriving Monday.
@@TheCaptainkyka I am, @tardyproductions send it through!
So u saying saddlemen fir short people thanks
I would say that’s a good call
you've got a dead link for the crashcage....
Sorry about that, should be fixed now.(:
Awesome 😎
4:25 why you bully me
Hahahaha shooting shots at everyone 😂
Maybe next time order the correct year seat and you won't have paint damage.. 🤦♂️
I appreciate your informed statement brother... id like you to buy the whiplash and see how it fits your bike. Then once you've figured out this is the correct seat for the bike, update your comment. ♥
