My friend who plays Hedonites gives out Candy for his "temptations." It is a lot harder to resist temptation when that's the case. Love the mechanic and candy :)

Lrl turn 1 battle tactic doesn’t matter if the spell is unbound as the spell is successfully cast (see 19.1) and unbinding just stops a successfully casted spell’s effects but doesn’t make the spell “unsuccessful” (see 19.1.2). It’s been a broken tactic missing faqs for ages

Only heros can use the Shrine's reroll to cast also. Sentinels cannot.
You asked how you get Depravity points easily. You select a big hitter like a keeper of secrets or glutos as your euphoric killer and aim into a unit you know you will wipe such as the archers in this report or a major threat such as a gargant. You will usually get at least 12 from glutos I've seen keepers get as high as 24 before. Great video I really enjoyed it.
I totally would have picked the archers with Glutos, but they were more than an inch away. If only he had charged 1 inch farther lol.
hey guys, love your videos, thanks for posting them, really enjoy watching battle reports. One small suggestion, and I know there are probably budget limitations here, but if there was just a bit more text on the screen when you're explaining the rules for different armies or other graphics highlighting what's going on, it'd definitely help with understanding. You guys go pretty fast, which I like, but when its armies I don't really know the rules to it can make it harder to follow along. But anyways please keep up the good work, love this channel.

That glutos can dish out 28-29 damage with full health and is a force to be reckoned with, it has 18 wounds too which makes it fairly tanky, if its not taken out early on its gonna cause problems especially with all the extra buffs and spells it has such as "crippling famishment".
The archmage teclis is no push over either and is a master of aelven wizardry and spells.
It should be a fun, interesting and close battle.
I wonder what other units will be used 🤔

My advice for depravity is to have a few "hammer" units you can slam into whatever and usually drop a lot of models for euphoric killers. If you lean too much into shooting then youll end up with little points. Slickblade seekers, exalted chariots, sigvald, contorted epitome, and glutos are all great options for this. The masque is a great unit to get it turn one if you are forced to go first
I like the Masque alot, blend something turn 1 and then finest hour next turn, makes the opponent work hard to lift a little hero. I think I could have made better use of this rule if Michael had more combat pieces, but the bulk of his army was so far away in the castle, I couldn't make good use of it with Glutos. That's the thing with how temptation dice are written. You know as the opponent that D3 is not a big deal, whereas D6 is much better. So the incentive is to take the damage.
A friend and I i were talking, and we thought up a solution to temptation that is better and faster.
At the start of the battle round, roll 6 dice. You then place each dice next to any unit on the battlefield. At any point during the battle round, a unit with a temptation dice can choose to replace a dice in a roll with the temptation dice, and if they do, the Slanesh player gets that many depravity, if they don't use it, at the end of the battle round, that unit takes the temptation dice value as mortal wounds. If a unit that had a temptation dice next to it dies without using it, the Slanesh player gets that value as depravity.
This opens up the usage to a much wider scope, while also speeding up the game. The decision is made at the initial roll and the units with TD are sort "living on borrowed time" they are marked.

Dave You have to try Ravenak's Gnashing jaws in combination with Crippling Famishment from Glutos!
Also, the spell Born of Damnation casts 6 dice and you get 1 depravity for each 4+
And lastly!
Did you use Crown of dark secrets or did you forget it just like i do every time I play Slaanesh? :D
I used the crown on Teclis :) it never came up because he didn't get within 6 until the end.

I'm so happy you had another LRL game! One advice though. When you play Teclis, you don't have to declare all your casts. I know it's faster, but it's all about strategy. By declaring spells one by one, you're opponent has to decide for each if he's going to try to unbind one... without knowing what spell is going to be next. So you can bait you're opponnent to unbind spells before declaring the one last spell you want to pass. I find that most players will really want to unbind total exclipse and it's a great bait. :) my 2 cents.
I usually do this for the sake of speed on the channel, but you are right i should start baiting out those unbinds
And most of my dawnriders banners are broken too !!!
@@BattleshockWargaming you were giving the chance to David to choose to unbind the spells you needed the most… and he doesn’t need that because of the way he rolls 😅😂🤣 Teclis is great to play mind games with your opponent. I understand you may want to speed things up for a recording though. Cheers buddy!
You also need to decide the number of Spells at the start of the hero phase. Can't pick during the hero phase proper.

Yeah, it's best to treat the temptation dice as just extra D3 MW pings, you won't be getting any depravity out of them against anyone who knows what they're doing. Euphoric Killers is the only reliable DP source in the book, so you kinda have to build into that, it's a little one-note...
I love the mechanic, just a silly rule they thought up which is fun and interactive :) those are the best rules
If you want the depravity with them, you have to give them tasty offers. Fail a 3 damage save with their hero? They might take it. But yeah, most of the time its just d3 mortals which is excellent for hero sniping

If you play a Slaanesh shooting castle consider trying the Lord of Pain for 140pts, he gives a 12 inch aura with +1/+1 to all mortals if he's standing on an objective, makes for really reliable shooting :)
Recently start collecting Hedonites as well. I like the models and rules. Would love the see a more daemon focused list here on the channel, preferably Godseekers subfaction. This was good entertainment for sure.
This is what we have painted first, there is always more to build and paint but it all takes some time. For now we are excited to match this up against various armies.

Remember that you can use the quartz to rerol or add +1 to the cast value! Also how are the sentinels able to go to hitting on 2? As far as I know you cannot go beyond +1 to hitting
Also remember that the cathalar can absorb the energy from using the quartz and make another unit -1 to their bravery
Also I think teclis mw Bomb works better with the maelstorm sent through the portal
The sentinels were using aimed shots, which hit on 3s, so AoD gives them 2s. There were no eligible units within 18 of the cathalar to absorb the bravery debuff, aside from Glutos who was bravery 8 due to this rule. Michael used a shrine reroll 1 time, but could have used aetherquartz to boost cast value in a few situations ;) great feedback! Thanks for watching our video :)

Dave here, my top 5 are Beastclaw Raiders, Maggotkin of Nurgle, Discoples of Tzeentch, Slaves to Darkness and Blades of Khorne! I love all of them, but those are the standouts :)

I was convinced that searing white light, 20 sentinels and a ballista would rinse all of my archers in 2 turns, but it turned out to be pretty even match up due to some serious LUCK for Slaanesh. Thanks for watching!

Glad you were able to find it! Aetherquartz makes Lumineth VERY defensive with Protection of Hysh and save stacking. On top of that, they are an army that you do not want to double turn you LOL.
I feel sorry when someone has to paint 33 blisbarb archers or more...

Hedonites are awesome beautiful models and they can just wreck face on the table.
I believe you have to use Crown of dark secrets your first hero phase or whatever the relic is that makes units attacks down to one..
