On tip one I'd use tasker to set a long screen timeout on apps you read, and short on everything else. Ditto on turning off radios based on time of the day, and screen brightness.
I'm a complete freak about this. I see people with the wifi turned on out in the street and it pisses me off. I run wifi or lte when needed. Bluetooth is on only when streaming to headphones. nfc set to work only if the phone is unlocked. brightness in auto during the day, low at night. The GPS only when using maps. the battery saver is on the minute I step out of the house, and the only apps allowed to run in the background are the communication ones. And my phone does it through the day with some heavy use on reading and writing docx, email, sms/whatsapp, some light social media and gaming, and around two hours of spotify streaming over bluetooth.
I completely agree with you, I've adopted a system very very similar to yours, if not identical. Although I watch more UA-cam during the day than anyone I know. Therefore, I keep two battery packs handy. They have never let me down.
is it going to harm your smartphones battery if you play games while charging the phone ? i always play games by plugging in the charger .need experts advise. thanks in advance N.b- currently using a Samsung galaxy note 4
Maybe it's just because I'm a tech guy and know how all this stuff works, but I have no problem manually toggling on and off radios and other items when not needed to save battery. I know exactly what I want to use when I want to use it, so I'll always do a better job than the phone at figuring out what should or shouldn't be off. Is it really that much of a hassle? They have those options in the quick settings bar for a reason.... Only thing I leave on all the time is GPS since Google uses it to give you ETAs for commutes and such, and that's worth the battery hit IMO.
Use something like AirDroid to provide an Apple Continuity like feature, allowing you to interact with calls, messages and notifications from you laptop. This seriously saves battery life for me, because when working I hardly ever turn on the phones display.

Cool video but I noticed a incorrect statement. You cannot turn Doze on as if there is a Doze switch as you stated in the video. Operating system detects an device idle time and Doze is automatically turned on when conditions are correct.
For me, the most helpful ones are: 1. turn off GPS. This alone give me ~30% longer screen on time. 2. use Greenify to put social media (twitter, facebook, etc.) to doze when I'm not using them 3. when working, let the phone sit on the desk instead of my pocket, trying to trigger doze. 4. lower brightness and shorten auto screen off time.
