Saxophones are amazing. You hear hints of other instruments throughout the arrangement and they are so expressive. I think this wouldn't sound right with a group of clarinets, for example, but even though the sax was invented much later than this music was written, it somehow still sounds perfectly fine with them.

Obviously kind of hard to put into words but I think you will know what I mean. A bassoon, by comparison, would have a sharper sound--more articulate but less smooth and string-sounding.

When all the four of you simultaneously play it gives the effect of playing duplication of same copy of melody on both upper and lower octave with addition of two more notes in between ( both of the hands) on foot-pumped harmonium. I like such effects.

I've never ever heard 4 saxophones play so perfectly in tune. The precision and control here has me bewildered.
