I'm just going around asking this. Does anyone know how to tryout for the BDB snare line? Do I just show up to the BD auditions or what?
I'm sure they have the details on their site by now. I know with crown, it was pay audition fee, download audition packet(available only after audition fee is paid), practice your butt off, and show up to audition camp.
Matthew Anthony Oh I know about the camps and whatnot but i'm wondering if anyone knows the date of the camps. On their site it just says Blue Devil battery auditions. I'm not sure if it's for both lines or for just BD.
+jose perez the audition clinic is Dec 5-6th, and the actual auditions are on Dec 12-13th, from what I saw on the website.

+Noah H I commented with the dates a while ago. You'll have to pay the audition fee, download the audition packet(available after fees are paid), practice, practice, practice, and then show up to the audition camps. All of the info is available on the bd website.

MrMagicpantz200 I am too. He has scoliosis. I was wondering if he has had corrective surgery or a back brace or is he like my sister, living with it one day at a time. It's a very painful spine curvature that will make the chest area squeeze the lungs so breathing is difficult. With my sister now, walking is difficult. She can't walk 100 yards without a wheelchair. Her back has started to slump and her doctor is predicting within 10 years, she will have a 90 degree bend. 😔
Say what you want about the stick drops, but considering he dropped and *still won* says a lot about his skill.
I look up to Brandon so much. Im 15 and Ive only been a snare drummer for two years. Like his, it is my dream to become a Blue Devil.

George Bush You're way late, so I forget exactly where I saw it, but there's a video somewhere of Brandon playing marimba with four mallets. Maybe Instagram? Not sure, but he's a good mallet player. Obviously not as good as he is at snare, but still better than most kids his age.

What I like best about this performance is that this is NOT the Brandon we all "think" we know from UA-cam all these years. That Brandon, a boy, could have just hit stop and re-recorded. This Brandon is a man. He pushed through, despite what I could tell by his face for a BRIEF moment was agonizing to a perfectionist such as himself. We need more of this on UA-cam, and in society in general. The "push through". Great work, and as has been said earlier, that left hand work on the sequence at 3:20. Wow! Amazing playing and composition sir!
I followed Brandon for years and finally met him the night of the age out process. The DCI HALL OF FAME gets the honor of handing the DCI pin to each member once they enter the field of age outs...This may sound strange but I was truly excited to meet Brandon. I got to give him his pin and mumbled some things he probably does not remember...This is an incredible drummer who dedicated years to being a CHAMPION. This time the honor was all mine.

Great playing (minus the stick drops), but it all kind of sounds the same.
Brandon is obviously talented, but I wish he had more competition. Sadly the majority of corps do not allow their members to participate. I think I&E makes for stronger performers.
In his whole 5 years of dci he’s only performed 2 I&E’s and won both times

Super Saiyan God they are Promark DC50's, not TXDC50W's they are smaller and lighter and better suited for beginners, I don't know about the nylon tips

@@ekodevil7593 *DC-17 Scojo Sticks. Also, the other ones weren't nylon, they're rubber tips for practicing on any surface without damaging your stick.
