What a perfect day! A balanced combination of seeing new and impressive sights, eating beautifully prepared and delicious local foods, and walking enough to work off the calories and get the benefits of exercising outside. 😊 I'm sure you slept well after your long day, and it's clear you both enjoyed it. Hooray! 🙌 Love you both. ❤❤
Matsue is one of my favorite trips I was able to take when we lived on the mainland. If you go back you MUST ride the boat ride around the moat. It is so much fun!! The roof goes up and down to go under the low lying bridges and in a tunnel the boat operator even sings. One of my families favorite memories of Matsue!
I love you guys! Thank you for taking the time to share your neck of the woods with us. I think it would be fun if you two were willing to do a Q & A video. We get to ask questions and you decide which ones to answer...please consider!
You just brought Matsue to life for me with your descriptions of everything you've encountered with us. I might not be able to visit Japan as soon as I'd like, but you have definitely highlighted places I want to visit when I do get there. Your meal at the end was spectacular and the fine dining you enjoyed was so affordable. Kudos to the Chef. Thanks for sharing Matsue with us! I can't wait to visit Japan myself and now I have another gorgeous destination to add to the places I must see. Cheers from the Niagara Region in 🇨🇦
A lot of great things to see. I love the architecture of the castle. Really beautiful. Wow, what a view. You always find amazing looking foods, it's making me hungry, lol. The houses are cute too. I like that you share places that are off the beaten path. Another interesting video, thanks for sharing it. 😊
My daughter and I went to Matsue Castle in 2019 and yes the stairs are steep , going up is fine and coming down the wonderful attendants helped by stopping every one with a call of "obasan" and gave me time. I'm over 70, use a stick and have failing eyesight but would not have missed it. I still hope to return to Japan one day as it is the best country in the world for the elderly to travel to.
What an excellent intro Matsue. We've haven't visited that part of Japan before, so it's another place we'll have to add to the bucket list. The castle and city reminds me a little of Himeji - except for all the water 😁 As usual it was a joy to spend this time with you guys!
LOL When Satoshi was saying he bought the bara pan and said it a few times in a row I thought he was singing trumpet music. I thought he’d bought Shinichi a trumpet. Then he said “rose bread” and I figured out it was “bara pan”.
Your videos are so very delightful. :) I have SO many comments but was bowled over by Lafcadio Hearn!! I grew up near New Orleans and acquired his Creole Cook Book, which is full of Euro-Afro-Caribbean knowledge. I now work at an institution that houses his papers. And now you're telling me you toured his house in Matsue!! Only one (of many) questions: how does BARA PAN compare with pão docé or anything else you find at Leonards :)
Thank you for sharing this relaxing video. And I love how Matsue city looks, and how well many aspects have been preserved. I really hope to be able to visit one day.
Kind of ashamed that I've lived in Matsue for 5 years now and still haven't visited some of the places mentioned here. See them a lot when I'm around town though. Also, the bakery you mention at 23:35, San Coniglio, is my best friend's bakery! She was really excited to be mentioned in your video! I hope you can try the クリームパン sometime! It really is delicious!
Hey guy! I just got out of the hospital and back to the homeless life so I haven't eaten in over a day. Food looks delicious!! Sending much love from Florida.
Hi guys 🙏🏼 is it possible to edit in your locations on a map ? There’s so many prefectures and things to see and do , I keep changing my itinerary for my 2023 ( April) trip , thanks guys 👍🏼
@@TabiEats morning guys. do you all have a schedule for your fabulous live streams? we would love to watch some here in Denver, CO. 🤗. is there a poster schedule or are there more last minute inspired?
Satoshi, we love sunsets too. They're like the perfect way to end the day. And also, the colors!! 🌇🌆 WOw, that Katsu Seto looks divine!! 🤤 It's currently 8am and wanting to find a place to grab this here in San Francisco today. 🤣😂 Sinichi, how do you like using a mike while filming? I was thinking about obtaining one to use but unsure of what to get. Do you use a wireless with a phone? #Curious No sunset but it's okay love your energy ✨✨ What a great way to end the evening@@ The restaurant was quiet and it was like an intimate time spent with y'all! Love the jazz music you used. Fit perfectly. #CremeBruleePears So there's this ice cream shop here in SF called Salt N Straw and they have a blue cheese and pear flavored ice cream. Most think it's strange but its🔥🔥
Hello I will visit Matsue next month. I want to try food your recommended. But I didn’t find Katsu Daisu in Google maps 😢 and the bakery is permanently closed 😢
Shinichi and Satoshi, I'd love to see this place someday....but both my feet were amputated, and I doubt I could get around very well, especially in the castle. Am I right?
I came here a few years ago! Unfortunately I was a bit too reserved with my funds and wasn't able to enjoy as much as I could have. I hope to be able to come back and enjoy it to the fullest next time
Our of curiosity- with your love of coffee, have you ever had any Japanese-grown coffees? I’ve heard of a couple of the Izu islands (south of Oshima) having a couple plantations.
This may be the book to which Satoshi's referring: "Japanese Tales of Lafcadio Hearn" (or "Oddly Modern Fairy Tales"). It's available in paperback at Target and Walmart online.
Lunch was good but your dinner for once looked and sounded disgusting, that is one place sure to avoid if they are still in business when I visit in two years

I love your videos. I’d love to visit Japan 🇯🇵 someday. Such a beautiful country rich with history.
Last time I went to Matsue was in the late 70's! I read Lafcadio Hearn's book of obake stories--very entertaining.
Amazing meals ! Mahalo for sharing !

Hello 👋 from South Africa 🇿🇦
53 dollars for a full course meal like that is so worth it, food looked delicious!
I hope one day I’ll be able to do a culinary journey to Japan… I love your videos!
Wonderful video
I was just in Matsue! Wish I knew about Y's Kitchen, I definitely would have paid a visit.
Glad to see a more equal sharing of time between both of you in videos.

Great video. These kind of videos would be better if you said what the restaurants and locations were (including in the video description).
I love the jizo statues at the lake!!!! and the katsu rice looks delicious, but perhaps a little too much sauce for me :)

Shinichi and Satoshi, I'd love to see this place someday....but both my feet were amputated, and I doubt I could get around very well, especially in the castle. Am I right?
I hope to get to Japan someday. I haven’t gone farther than France yet.
This castle is based on STREET FIGHTER GAME RYU STAGE! :)))))
I came here a few years ago! Unfortunately I was a bit too reserved with my funds and wasn't able to enjoy as much as I could have. I hope to be able to come back and enjoy it to the fullest next time

Anyone find the book? My librarian side needs to read it.

I REALLY LOVE JAPAN🥺 AND YOU BOTH ARE ADORABLE😊
You did not list the restaurant?
❤️
18:00 place, sure you left as hungry as when you walked in 😂
I’m on the fence when it comes to buttercream made with granulated sugar.
Lol, a little stingy on that buttercream eh 🤣
did you see the little bug?
Forks, knives and spoons? 🤔
ONLY PEOPLE WHO DIDN'T COME FROM TIKTOK ARE WORTHY OF LIKING THIS✍️📌🔞🔞
Lunch was good but your dinner for once looked and sounded disgusting, that is one place sure to avoid if they are still in business when I visit in two years
