CHICAGO - Driving on Lake Shore Drive

They say that the best way to experience Lake Shore Drive in Chicago is by driving south to north. I agree but even if you decide to go north to south it is still going to be a spectacular experience. Lake Shore Drive is simply the most beautiful 16-mile long stretch of urban parkway in America. On the east it boarders Like Michigan and miles of city beaches and green areas. On the west you can see magnificent skyscrapers and luxury apartments mixed with many city parks. I would say that driving on Lake Shore Drive is an absolute must for all visitors who wish to admire Chicago's amazing skyline.

Generally speaking, driving on LSD is a great experience but the stretch between Roosevelt Rd. and Belmont Ave. is simply incredible regardless if you are going south to north or north to south. It is especially true during the summer months.
