Thank You Sir. It's been 12 years that I have changed/added a weed-water line. The one I used then could have been a different kind/brand. Now I am using an Echo 230. I used to weed-eat 50 acres every 2 weeks. I mowed it too. Now I am retired and greatly appreciate your very informative video. Much thanks!👍🙂👍
I have an older echo SRM 230 gray model from 2005 ish I have been searching forever on UA-cam ETC for instructions but every video seemed to be slightly different then my trimmer head. Yours was identical. FINALLY!!!!! !! Thank you so much! I actually ended up buying a speed feed head but still just for principle and having a spare head always wanted to know how to re string this head! Thank you so much!!!!
For the last 18 months I've not let the lawn crew edge or use a weed eater in my back yard. ua-cam.com/users/postUgkx_rBCFuDW1zD6blTGhLkvAkxU657uR_lG I didn't like the fact that they just kept cutting the edge of the lawn further and further from the rock lining the flower beds and leaving bare ground. And the grass was trimmed or scalped several feet around trees, etc. It was a constant battle with them so I told them to just mow and no trimming. I have Zoysia grass so it grows pretty slow. Obviously after a while it could use some trimming. I'm in my 80's so I can't do much of it myself. Finally I decided that if I could find a lightweight battery powered trimmer I might be able to do some light trimming. I decided to buy the LST201 20V trimmer. And it works great for my needs. I have back yard with about 150' of flower beds and several trees to be trimmed. I can lightly trim the whole yard with a single charge! The grass I trimmed was only a few inches high but the trimmer was more powerful than I expected.
Those battery powered trimmers are great. I mostly use the Milwaukee M18 trimmer now and I have no issues with it, much less headache than the gas powered ones.
Excellent information and instructions for this model with this head. I just inherited one it needed some work, but finally got it reliable. It took me about 20 minutes to finally get the string head to click out and pop off.
Thanks brother went threw 3 dozen video’s of people half way explaining things and block everything with there hands so frustrating lol but thanks to your video I got it done thanks man Blaze on 🤙
Thank you for your video, your video was the only one that I can locate on UA-cam that could help replace my string line on my echo PSA 2620... once again thank soooo much🫂🤜🏼🤛🏼🤝🤝👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼
I’m glad I found your video because I have the same head with the same way that you’re stringing that but I bought some of the auto feed that you can just twist and feed it to, but I was curious how you loaded this single head and now I know my question is though on the inside, there’s two of those little areas with the holes where you can put the string througha 10 foot section with a little bend through one of those holes and then put another section through the other hole instead of winding it or do you have to use one hole and do it the way you did it understand what I’m talking about
I bought this many years ago. I think it was a high torque head but I can’t recall the part number or any details. If it’s important I can look it up tomorrow for you.
Excellent! Bestfor.Garden also recommend Switched from a corded string trimmer/ edger to this, and I love it. Wish I had gotten it sooner. So easy to operate. Battery is great!*
Time to replace? My spool was getting pretty beat up and the new replacement head (Amazon) works like this one. It came installed with 2 separate lines with two holes, but this makes more sense to use only one hole. The new spool feeds much easier with a bump.
@@thelifeofriley7668 thanks for replying to a comment that’s a year old, I think I fixed the issue that was having but I don’t remember how. Thanks for making this content 👍
I have the PAS 2620 and I've had difficulty time installing the trimmer line...now, thank to your UA-cam 📹 hopefully I can also replace my trimmer line on it without anyyyyyyy difficulty at all👍🏼🤜🏼🤛🏼🫶👍🏼👍🏼
Thanks for that last trick man!!!
You're welcome! That trick is why I thought to make the video. I don't think many people know to do that.
@@thelifeofriley7668 I dint know it, Ive always had problems with trimmer lines.

50 acres is a ridiculous amount to mow and weed whack! I'm glad the video helped.

Thanks, bought mine in a yard sale. Been struggling for two years trying to figure out how to reload the trimmer. Thanks for the help.
It’s an easy process but not intuitive. I’m glad it helped.
@@thelifeofriley7668 so mine is so old the arrow is worn off. Do you wind in the direction it spins or the opposite?
@@Medevicerep I’m sorry it has been a while since I used this one. I can’t remember.

It’ll still work if you use both.
Thank you very much, your video was just what I needed!

Thanks.....works perfect! Hard to find this head installation......
Glad it helped!
Cool the last part is always difficult the string wants to unspool as I’m putting the cartridge back in.
Yeah, that's annoying. Putting the strings in those slots holds the string temporarily so it doesn't unspool.
Excellent demonstration
Thank you!
I have an Echo weed eater, but mine is not like yours. So I don't know what I'm going to do. It's similar but different.
I Appreciate your video thanks easy to address
I’m glad it helped.
This looks like the same as mine, the SRM231
Thank you so much.
Thx. Needed this!

The holes in mine are almost worn out completely too. I'll need to get a new trimmer head in the next year or two.
Can’t for the life of me get the top off
