That drummer, Kai Hahto, is known to be the most talented drummer in Finland. He plays everything from jazz to black metal (and has a stamina to do that full 2 h show..). He's also a very respected drumming teacher. And yes, he is nowdays a member of Nightwish..
@@KingSilk33 Guess drummers need to eat too, so good to be long on big gigs. And earn the money to play what you want. Well, jokes aside, Kai Hahto is a friend of the Nightwish drummer who he has been backing up due health issues. And when you see Kai playing, he seems to enjy himself, be it Nightwish or Wintersun. I bet it's more callenging technically to play these Wintersun songs, but he seems to love music so much, he gives 100% in Nightwish too. I remember from the school time a few drummer guys, who just kept beating their pulpet in recesses, or when we were waiting for the teacher who was late. They just seemed to be interested in swiching different beats, half a minute, couple o' minutes one beat, then a switch, and a new journey with different pace came out. So I see it as Kai is enjoying himself as long as he gets different types of beats to play with, different genres with different traditions and tricks. I have a hunch he would feel wasted if he would need to play only very similar songs in a monotonic band. And couldn't teach neither.
Oh man, really really nice, I'm really glad to see more people reacting to Wintersun music, cause these guys deserve, and this song is one of the best things I've heard in my entire life. There's so much passion in each song that they have, it's just fantastic. Hope soon you can react to some of the songs of the new record like "Awaken From The Dark Slumber" or "Loneliness".
