We travel to Arizona often to visit family and have bought Saguaro from the airport terminal. I have one that I've been growing for about 4 years now and another one that I've had for just about a year now. They've been growing pretty well, faster than I had expected but still pretty slow.. lol
Thank you ALL for your AMAZING comments and support :-) Unfortunately due to my very busy time restraints with our househunting etc, I am unable to continue to reply to your comments and questions but please know that I do read EVERY single comment and appreciate all your comments and continued support :-) Sending you ALL an abundance of love and happiness and PLANT POWER from right across the Emerald Isle XXXX
@@maxmyderpydog1363 Hi there, yes some Saguaro cacti can be darker in colour and some more of a lighter green, it can also depend on the amount of light they receive too, thanks so much for your wonderful comment and for watching and have a wonderful weekend XXXX
hey Lynn, you were smart for potting the Saguaro in only the next size up. He's only a baby, practically a new born. They grow e-x-t-r-e-m-e-l-y s-l-o-w. You're probably holding a 10 year old baby in this vid. When they reach full height of about 60 feet, they're over 100 years old. He'll be in that pot for a few years before you will need to repot. Let us know how the little guy is doing.

Hi :-D I am growing some Saguaro from seed but this cutie was grown by my friend in Arizona from seed from his own plant :-D thanks so much for your wonderful comment and for watching and sending you an abundance of love and PLANT POWER from across the Emerald isle for a FANTASTIC Friday XXXXXX
I had started to grow a Saguaro cactus from a small kit I bought in a mall for three dollars, but alas it only made it 3 months. It was a beautiful plant, and I do plan to try my luck at this again when I have a better materials. Any tips for next time?
Nelaca S They grow wild here in the Southern AZ. Best tips would be good soil that drains well, cactus fertilizer every month or two, and patience. They're slow growers and too much water can cause rot.
Thats fantastic news these cacti are extra special :-D good luck with growing your Saguaro cactus and sending lots of love and happy growing from across the Emerald isle XXXX
These are very expensive. I live here in Arizona and I recently purchased a small 11" potted one from a nursery for $65 U.S dollars. I'm not sure how much that would be in English pounds but I imagine it is quite expensive as well. I love these cactus but they are very expensive. At the same nursery I saw a 4 foot saguaro spear for like $400 U.S dollars
WOW thats crazy money, I was so lucky to have been gifted this little Saguaro :-D thanks so much for your wonderful comment and for watching and sending you lots of love and happiness and PLANT POWER to Arizona for a fantastic Monday XXXXX

I am here because I have a question... I bought a saguaro from the grocery store back in 2005. It was in a 4” pot and maybe 6-8” high. For about 8yrs now it has been in an 8”w by 7”h pot, and is 17” tall and recently sprouted an arm... I planned on replanting it this summer, but now not sure if I should with a 1” nub on it. Does anyone have an idea? Should I let the arm establish its self before replanting?
Hi there :-D thats fantastic your Saguro is sprouting an arm, and the good news is you can go ahead and replant now with no problem at all to the new arm, and the new soil will help the growth even more, thanks so much for your wonderful comment and for watching and sending you lots of love and happiness and PLANT POWER for a super Saturday XXXX
Desert Plants of Avalon thank you. As soon as the growth slows down, I will. In the past few days the arm has grown over an inch! That is fast, considering it has grown about 10inches in 15yrs!! When I first seen it earlier this week, I thought it was flowering. Now its big and spikey haha
Hey Lyn, I asked you a couple weeks ago how I could get back in contact with Keith since he doesn't have access to the internet right now, and you said you would mention something to him for me. He said he would send me some saguaro seeds in the comments of one of your videos a few months ago. I'm sorry to bother you again about it, but did you ever get in contact with him or mention this? I understand you're very busy, but I was just really looking forward to this around my birthday last month and it never came, so it would mean a lot to me if you could just ask him if he was still planning on sending them to me or if he lost my address.
Lovely Saguro cactus, nicely repotted! Thanks for sharing Lyn! Have a wonderful evening Lyn and Hans! Sending you both lots of love and happiness!
