Knowing Stevie and Lindsey used to be a couple, the look in her eyes when she is singing right to him- “I’ll follow you down till the sound of my voice will haunt you”…. CHILLS!!
@@Cindrbell Clearly, she still loved him… if looks could kill, Lindsey would be laid out of the floor when she sings to him: “You’ll never get away from the sound of the woman that loves you”… 😢💔
@@michellepetrillo2235 huh?? Stevie and Lindsey will always be connected. I didn't see any looks that could kill. After all these yrs, they're bond has grown. He still loved her too.
@@Cindrbell From Stevie herself: The band went on, of course, though over the years - as Nicks told The Times last year - Buckingham and Nicks “shot eye daggers at each other” in front of packed stadiums during renditions of breakup anthems such as “Silver Springs.” That song, written by Nicks, had been intended for “Rumours” but wound up as the B-side of the “Go Your Own Way” single. Sample lyrics: “So I’ll begin not to love you / Turn around, you’ll see me runnin’ / I’ll say I loved you years ago / And tell myself you never loved me, no.”
List to HIS RESPONSE: "Go Your Own Way". Yeah -- she's promising to be a creepy STALKER. She's claiming to OWN him, while women claim to be "oppressed". Who "cheated" on whom?
They are known for their intense concert moments because songs were written about each other. This is my favorite song of theirs live. Stevie Nicks and Lindsey Buckingham are unbelievably talented.
New sub from Alabama here. I am currently 48 years young!🤫 And back in my youth, really at a very young age, grew up listening to Fleetwood Mac. I was born in 1974, and my mom had them on 8 track. And I would at around age 5 take her 8 tracks and play them. And really got into music. Back then I wanted to be a singer. And at the time was nick named the golden oracle. Aka golden singer. Because of my blonde hair. But back then I wanted to be Crystal Gayle. I loved her voice and her beauty and long dark hair! Despite my blonde hair. LMBO! But long story, short, I grew up to this group and loved so many of their songs, especially Tusk! So I'm glad to have found your channel, and look forward to seeing more of your song reactions! 😃👍
That gorgeous woman with that gorgeous voice is the Queen, Stevie Nicks. She has a whole solo career that’s even better than the Fleetwood Mac work. Stevie Nicks is the only woman ever inducted into the Rock n Roll Hall of Fame twice. Once with the band and once as a solo artist.
Stevie looking at Lindsay while singing, “You’ll never get away from the sound of the woman that loves you,” livers rent free in my head. The ultimate flex. Although Lindsay did, in fact, get away and Stevie certainly did not follow him, I’m confident the sound of her voice still haunts him…
Think about it. Fleetwood Mac is such a standard, you still hear them everywhere to this day. Man can't even walk into a grocery store without hearing a burn anthem or a diss track all about him 😅
You are such a joy to listen with. That accent could melt the north pole, lol. Southern people are just amazing to listen to, so gracious. Love Fleetwood Mac. That song didn't make the Rumours album but was the b side to the Go Your Own Way single. I remember the 45 and when Silver Springs got radio play, I was 13 or 14 and loved that song on the radio. God bless and much love from California to all you smooth talking southern people.
SUCH A DRAMAAAAA FILLED ROCK BAND THAT MADE GREAT GREAT MUSICAL SOUNDS AND SONGS DOGG! :) SHE'S SINGINGGGG RIGHT AT LINDSEY DOGG, DOESN'T GET ANY MORE HAUNTING THAN THAT! :) INSANE STUFF FOR SURE AND SO GOOD OF COURSE!
Steve, he couldn’t wait to sing this live because they left it off of the Rumours album and it made her mad for decades. So when she got a chance to sing this to his face, she let it go! It was years of tension, and she just let him have it. I love her there’s so much soul to her voice and so much raw emotion in this song. You feel like you need a motional break after listening to it.
Love them too. I love Fleetwood Mac and she wrote this and really didn’t get to sing it with him until 20 years after the fact and the intensity of it it’s just I’m sure it’s happened to a lot of people, it to me. Yes, just timings off. It’s sad when you love somebody like that. And knowing at that time that you can’t be with him it’s heartbreaking.🩷🌺
Stevie and Lindsey lived together for many years you can tell she is singing this to him. P,ease react to some of Christine McVies songs with FM "Songbird" is incredible
The extended track version of this song, it makes me mad that Mick didn't put it on the Rumors album.. I think if Mick had put Silver Springs on the Rumors record originally, it could have made Fleetwood Mac even more of a greater force, in my opinion... They became a super group because of Rumors... I love this song always
I saw them many times between 1977 and 1997. This song was off limits. I knew it existed and discovered on the flip side of Go Your Own Way. I was immediately perplexed that the best song off Rumours was trashed. I vaguely knew it’s history. I find its inclusion here was Stevie exercising her considerable power in the band and ensuring that Lindsey and Mick knew “You’ll never get away from the sound of the woman that loved you” is real.
She cries in several live versions of say goodbye written and sung by Lindsey to her with her harmonizing with him and she breaks down in several of the different live versions of that same song …. There earlier stuff that’s alright and live in store , never going back again , second hand news …. Must hear everything seriously spectacular and Stevie with Tom petty I will run to you …. Must listen won’t be sorry will be so glad u did lol
Big love both versions original and from the dance dvd and the letterman show where Lindsey and Stevie sing big love accapella ..hold me …little lies video they are georgeous … must see and mick Fleetwood the drummer is so gorgeously majestic in this video especially they all r so lovely but this video imparticular must see
I live in Silver SPRING - like the season - Maryland, in the DC burbs. And people who don't live here often call our town Silver SPRINGS. We get kind of annoyed with that!!😂
This is from the 1997 reunion concert called The Dance. Stevie & Lindsey had a reunion of their own during this time, but an untimely appearance of Lindsey’s ex gf Kristen (conveniently pregnant) ended that, at least partly. In my opinion, Lindsey has always loved Stevie even to this day, even in spite of her being responsible for him being kicked out a few years back. I also think Stevie loves him, but her jealousy & her ego have gotten in the way. I think after they are gone, one of her journals will surface & prove me right.
Not trying to sound offensive at all, but as an old white dude, I really love watching the reaction videos of so many young black dudes. I think it just shows that music has become garbage, and those that love music have to back in time now.
they dont even talk anymore and according to stevie, they were not friends after they broke up - i love fleetwood mac but that band had some weird sh*t going on
My man stood there and took that shit like a boss. Getting hit like that from Stevie would kill a mere mortal
Only Stevie...writes a break-up song, and sings it to her ex, while he plays guitar... awesome.
Queen
And has him sing backup
-"time cast a spell on you-
-but you wont forget me"-
Except when he wrote one about her and sang it to her onstage while she sings backup.
@@lauraallen55 everyone seems to forget that they both made songs like this and made the otehr sing backup 😂
This song, and Landslide make me cry. Beautiful

Our Songbird has taken flight. The greatest band ever!
RIP Christine McVie. What a musician and vocalist.

Stevie Nicks-vocals

One of my favorite songs. Any one can relate to the lyrics. Beautiful.

Still one of the greatest albums all time It was written from the heart, from true experience and personal heartbreak

Christine Mcvie tge pianist died yesterday. Please do " songbird and over my head" in her memory, please.
I've watched this video 100 times when she bawls at Lindsay on guitar man I bawl
Love this song!
Queen Stevie 🖤
I love these first time reactions.
Stevie... The original Gypsy.
Try Songbird by Fleetwood Mac, sung by the late Christine McVie. If you don't shed a tear....
Goosebumps all over 🤘
Beautiful song. I believe she wrote this to Lindsey. Her passion when she sings it to him is incredible
My first most loved Fleetwood Mac song was "Blue Letter", but you never hear it played. Pity.
Your reaction was so genuine❤. Looked like u got lost in the music in the moment and I love that

Do “ over my head@ the live version from this concert, it’s amazing!
The Death Stare, lol
Check out songbird. Christine always sang this as their last song. She wrote it also.
Stevie wrote em... Lindsey put the poetry to music.
And her expression at 5:45... she meant it.
No matter WHAT Andrew Tate says, this is what happens to a woman betrayed. She WILL begin not to love you.

It's amazing sir that you did not catch the fact that she was calling out her ex boyfriend/lover out on stage so because he found someone else.
Sad, sad song. Of lost love.

Listen to the LYRICS. This isn't a mindless "feel good".
When they turn to each other for the last 40 or so seconds...
This IS the audio from the concert, but you really should see the video.
Edit: I see it in the shadows.
Sara is a beautiful one by them and sing bird is to rest in peace Christan rest in peace song bird
THe fact that she is still so upset 20 YEARS AFTER they broke up is a little disturbing. I don't think it was a stage act.

If a MAN sang this song he'd be labeled STALKER.
Stevie Nicks. Check out has anyone written something about you.

Yeah -- you completely missed the point of this live version of the song and the interaction between the 2 singers.
