I think AR will be one of the strongest cd's and a must have to choose when u want to parse (The bossfight will be pretty short again i guess). When its possible to execute 2 Envenom with AR & Thistletee in the master of Sub window atleast. Pop a 5 CP SnD, gather 5 cp pop BF, AR, Hands and Head, Vanish,Envenom, 5cp with Thistletee, Envenom. Sounds like fun when you consider the white dmg (4 haste buffs. Head, Gloves, SnD and BF) and dot dmg through saberslash and poisen.
Mutilate dps is going to be insane, melee hunter dps going to be insane. Melee hunters will have some wonky interactions with "next melee attack" and the DWS rune which might have even more wonky interactions with things like flurry axes.
I can see 4-5 out of the 6 bosses in the raid being inmune to bleed/posion. Im pretty sure they will push daggers rouge because of the buff to Mutilate and the bonus from the tier being daggers.
that doesn't make any sense though, mutilate only works well when the target can be affected by poisons, mechanical units (90% of gnomer) are mechanical units, meaning rogue poisons AND bleeds won't work
if they are poison immune they might also be bleed immune (saber slash). i considered a third build which looks similar to your dagger mix talents, but using backstab instead mutilate since deadly brew rune isn't used.
the mutilate spec i'm going for is 21/10/0. get cold blood, get the combo point generation and the energy regen, then improved backstab and 2% hit.. ya i know, no opportunity. i think the other stuff you get in assassination makes up for it. 🤷♂🤷♂
I like every spec of the rogue, but if i have to choose, which is fun for me, after 12 years of playing. I would say Mutilate. This whole arguement will end, if mechs will be immune to bleed and poison, maybe they'll change it, perhaps not. If they not gonna change it: Saber Slash enjoyers will be required in raids, if you get your hands on the main hand epic fist weapon, cuz it's boost caster dps! Mutilate enjoyers will love it, cuz it will cost 40 energy! (Seal Fate in phase 3) and viability in PvP! Backstab enjoyers have eihter the best or worst time in SoD, if mechs aren't immune they're fcked, cuz Mutilate with 40 energy will be better. In case they are immune to bleed and poison, then they'll thrive! In general i enjoy every one of the specs, but probably run Mutilate early on, if mechs aren't immune. Deep in my hearth i wanna end combat sword meta, after 5-6 years of Classic! I would like to see daggers shine!
@@Frostadamus The only reason why it will shine is because they reduced the energy cost on Mutilate or mechs are bleed/poison immune. Yes, they are trying give us some hints with the +3 dagger expertise set bonus and multiple dagger choices (Double Gut Ripper all the way). What i'm super excited for is phase 3 where Mutilate will fully emerge with Seal Fate/Imp Backstab(/Opportunity) with eihter Honor Amongst Thieves or Focused Attacks. It will be a freaking casino to play it. Heavy reaction based, cuz you can get extra combo point from finishing moves (Rutlesness); from crit (Seal Fate); from party crit (Honor Amongst Thieves).Mutilate (2 combo point+crit 1 combo point+party crit 1 combo point)>Slice n Dice 4 combo points>Rutlesness proc (1 combo point) Mutilate (2 combo point+crit 1 combo point)>Envenom>Mutilate (Combo point procs)>Rupture
Gnomeregan Enemys are like 99% of the Time immune to poison & bleedings ( mechanical & elemental ) so it looks like combat dagger backstab spam is the way to go ^^
We have to wait and see if gnomer mobs are actually immune. Ferals, Warrs, Rogues and hunters are reliant on some of the bleeds & stings. Don't think they'll be immune.
Man have you people not read about it and just spew false info on social media daily? They announced all mobs are changed in gnome. A completely new experience they said
"We havent done the math on that , for engi belt" Bruh not trying to flame or anything , but thats 1% crit 1 % hit and a 50% chance to give 10% extra crit for 30 seconds on a 15 min cd. Its busted.
15 mins cd for a maybe, there a chance that you might not get a single crit proc in an entire gnomer :D But 10 str 10 agil is also nice, fights are short...
It depends. For a warrior 10 str = 20 AP, 10 Agility at level 40 almost is around 0.75% crit, maybe more. These stats scale with Aspect of Lion and Kings, Str & agility elixirs/ totems. It depends alot on how much hit you have and if you get the lucky RNG proc on belt. I remain skeptic about the best, but soon we will find out.
It's for Mutilate. As it might get buffed in p2. Energy cost reduced from 60 to 40. Mutilate attacks with both weapon for 100% + 20 extra for each weapon. Additional 20% for poisoned targets.
Why do you have deadly brew and envenom, and saber slash runes? Those aren't BiS. Poison and bleeds is useless on Gnomergan bosses. Also, daggers do more dps. All this is wrong.
That's suspected based on how mechanical units work in classic, but not known for sure. It's quite possible that the devs wont want to gimp or restrict the builds for rogues, warriors, and druids for an entire raiding phase, and may put in a work around like a buff or scroll which changes bleeds and poisons to do a different class of damage in the raid. Nothing is certain right now.
@@jimmymemez3977 its called common sense. if there were any changes it would have been announced, seeing how its a mechanical change. Just like they did for the new Rogue CP ability to xfer CPs.

They also buffed serpent sting for hunts?
Maybe they're working on something where we are able to fully DPS elementals.
that doesn't make any sense though, mutilate only works well when the target can be affected by poisons, mechanical units (90% of gnomer) are mechanical units, meaning rogue poisons AND bleeds won't work
My point is that half of the rogue runes are designed for poisons.
