What’s your go to oil ? I break them in with rotella t4 and do rotella t6 synthetic at 1k..intervals are 1500 miles. I have a new Klr 650 and a built EVO Electraglide..
I exclusively use T4. Although there is a picture of a motorcycle on the T6 bottle there is nothing that specifically says wet clutch compatible, however many of my viewers say that they use it without issue. I guess for me, if it ain’t broke, don’t fix it. Thanks for your comment.
Have a question I'm workin on a 2005 honda crf450r an just got new kibble white black diamond valves but never used them do you lap the black diamond valves in or not
The Kibblewhite valves are coated and should not be lapped. They could be damaged or their life shortened. You can check the seal using Dykem or another machinist dye.
@restoroosterohv thank you very much I appreciate it im always looking forward to your projects
We got one of these bikes. Great bikes. But they don't like to sit. At least mine doesn't. I make sure to start it every other week otherwise it always requires a new spark plug and draining of the carb
I am a stickler for using non-ethanol fuel and recommend doing so. The ethanol is hydrophilic and will attract moisture from the air which causes all kinds of carburetor issues if left to sit. Thanks for your comment
Got my wife a 23 l40RF good bike but shitty battery out the shop can't seem to stay charged
Wonder if you have a parasitic draw? Grab a cheap digital multimeter from Harbor Freight. Test the output voltage of the stator while running to be sure it is producing over 13v at 2-3k rpm. Turn the bike off. Disconnect one of the battery leads. Use your meter inline to complete the circuit on the amp setting and configuration to be sure it is very close to zero with the ignition switch off. If all looks good, throw a cheap Amazon battery in it.
