Used to listen to Split Enz for hours when I was a teenager. All of their albums were great. This one always made the most impression most likely because it was their last. The end of an era in NZ music.
Such a great tune written and sung by Nigel Griggs! And the lyrical theme was SO ahead of its day! Look at the state of culture now when it comes to these ubiquitous "adz"? Ugh!
If your interested in hearing more of Nigel's songwriting look up the album "Restless Night" by Octopus. As far as I know he wrote all the songs on it and some of the vocals.
This is really good. Nigel was not only a good bassist but also a good songwriter and a decent singer. Just never had a chance to get much on the Enz albums with Tim and Neil on board. Although he did have a few key co-writes on Time and Tide.

My sister had this cassette in the late 80s. I liked this song the best. Thanks for posting this.
