because they would 1. need to make sure they have the cap spcae in 2026 which requires dumping contracts to get there and loosing value. 2. Not only the Warriors would love to have him, far from guaranteed he would signe there even if they have the cap space 3. There are two Championships played out since then. If you want a shot at one of them, you should make the trade now. in 2026, Durant and Curry will both be 38 years old and probably both not Top 10 anymore.
I hate when teams do this, gomden statr wont have another steph in any of our lifetimes , you have to go all in , you will be rebuilding when steph and Dray are gone anyways
Steph is part of the problem. Let splash bro go. Didnt stand up for pooole. Hasnt developed one good young player. This franchise slipped because of draymond green and steph not sticking up for the truth and good thing. They got what they deserved
Replace Kerr with Mike Brown then Trade Draymond Green + pick for Nikola Vucevic and make him power forward. Trade Podz and Anderson + pick for Raptor's Jakob Poeltl. This season Poeltl averages per game: 16pts, 11reb, 3ast, 1stl, 1blk. Starter/closer C - Jakob Poeltl PF - Nikola Vucevic SF - Jonathan Kuminga SG - Andrew Wiggins PG - Steph Curry 2nd lineup C - Kevon Looney PF - Trace Jackson-Davis SF - Moses Moody SG - Buddy Hield PG - Dennis Schroder
They could've done their best for someone like Lauri Markannen or Paskal Siakam and others but no they stuck with their old guys until they got even older, now they have nothing. And with their current managemet, they're not gunna be snuff for a while. P.S. Steve Kerr is the type of coach that knows what to do when he has a good team. Don't expect him to have a mid-tier team and turn them into deep-playoff caliber.
The Dubs run was over two years ago when they lost to the Lakers in the playoffs. It's OVAHHH....and no single player acquired will make them contenders. They could get Jokic or Giannis. They have no depth. It's Steph on an island. One more star won't move the needle.
Warriors have a Mike dunleavy Jr problem hey Joe lightyear's narcissist who have totally failed Steph Curry with a pathetic roster just imagine Steph Curry not on this team what would be the worst team in the NBA
4:42 I was dreaming for them to take a chance on Ball (although idk if they’d slow his career path) and I didn’t even think Wiseman would be bad or anything.
Bob Myers trashed the Warriors future in more ways than just choking numerous huge draft picks. He also was the one thing you absolutely cannot be in a high level management position. Emotional. He coddled and enabled malignant toxicity on the team, holding zero accountability which is what someone who wants to be liked does. But that only allows the problem to fester and grow. Unless the Warriors can rid themselves of the absolute development wrecking ball named Draymond Green, the Warriors days of title contention are done and done for another 10 years minimum. Joe Lacob and Bob Myers completely lucked into the generational talent that is Stephen Curry. Possibly Mike Dunleavy could emerge as a competent GM. Time will tell. Curry, as a teammate is in no position to make management decisions. Think about it, how is he supposed to both maintain the kind of camaraderie with teammates necessary to win and also hold teammates accountable. Even MJ needed both Phil Jackson and Jerry Krouse to make the tough decisions. This is basic management organizational behavior 101. Look at all the stars who have tried to also be GMs and how that's gone. l rest my case.
Oh brother. Dubs are done. Come to grips with it. There’s nothing they can do, no trade they can make, that’s going to make them a contender. It’s over.
Moody does play. The thing that’s holding him back is his slow release shot, it messes up with his offensive presence and it doesn’t help that he moves slow when it comes to guarding on isolations. All it takes is one drive and Moody is completely beat.
@@younglove3362 Really? How? Statistically, the Thunder are the most dominant team in NBA history. I was there last night when they humiliated my Cavs. Unfortunately, There’s no room on the Thunder for KD.
Draymond Green is behind this. Steve Kerr is afraid of Draymond and Steph doesn't check Draymond. Look what happened last year when Steph tried to politely guide Draymond away from a ref. He literally started crying. The only player that benefits from the way Kerr runs lineups is Draymond Green and now it makes sense. He's afraid of him.
8:32 as a warriors see you I disagree With this trade cuz I would do everything to get KD but without giving up Wiggins reason being we don’t have anyone who can provide his level of defense with the scoring ability I rather give up 2 more picks vs giving up Wiggins
This video's a little weird to me. Protecting leverage makes sense, agree w/ him there. But the Warriors do have a younger core they've been wary of trading. Kuminga, Jackson-Davis, Wiggins, Podz, could move any if they wanted to right? Kuminga seems like the only one they'll consider. So it seems like they're just being cautious, trying to protect leverage, and ARE serious about keeping the youngsters...maybe they're hoping to make a deal with virtually all draft capital on their side? I think they genuinely don't want to move anyone except Kuminga.
As a suns fan, I don’t think we really want or need jk, andrew or gp2, no we NEED picks, and 1 1st rounder is not enough, especially if the warriors do go back to winning if they get Kevin Durant. And idk maybe they would help us be more balanced and have more depth but I don’t think that’s the biggest issue we need to deal with, plus, suns even if nobody agrees or likes the idea are all in on winning now, is it gonna happen? Probably not at this point , but they have the championship coach, they got the “big 3” even though one of them is playing off the bench, they just won’t do it even it’s the right decision
To be fair to moses Moody, they simply do not give him the touches. Hes had multiple games where hes ended with more points than minutes played. He has a lot of potential. Even to this day. I've been saying he needs a change of scenery for about 3 years now.
In fairness to the GSW organization's take on Wiseman for that draft pick. The kid really did look 'NBA ready' his year on college and there was no 'questions' around his behavior or work ethic, etc. Wiseman just hasn't found the fit yet.
Draft picks - you won't know if he would fit with the team or get better. Those guys bcome good or bad bcoz of the whole organization behind them and the opportunity given to the player. There's a lot of factor goin here, a simple exhange of situation definitely won't give you the same result.
There are no bad players in the NBA, except Ben Simmons. So you need players that set you apart from the rest of the NBA. Kuminga doesnt do that. Do you see him taking over a game? Do you see him give you 20 and 10 when it counts? He doesnt have a significant role for the Dubs. In a contending team, he is never in the starting line up. And he's been in the league long enought, we know his ceiling.
Andrew Wiggins said the other day. "We have Steph Curry" No Wiggins, Curry has you. The warriors are being led by ball hog Curry. Curry cant close anymore.
The trade for KD is not a bad idea BUT let's keep in mind that they started strong because of the defense, not the offense. I fear that this move will deplete our defensive ceiling. I would try to keep either Wiggs or GP2. Wiggs being on a very good contract and is balling. JK can go. Looney is a necessary sacrifice. I would see if salary matchers plus another 1st rounder would make the trade work.
I'm not a warriors fan. So it's not bias, but why do people complain about GSW picking people like wiseman in the draft when you would've done the same, that's what they needed and no one can tell the future of how injuries and players will work out. If I'm wrong sorry but show me a video of you saying wiseman wasn't the right draft pick before he got drafted or right after. Not 6 months or a year later
The reason why they don't send Curry to the free throw line like they did Jordan or Kobe is because Curry has the greatest FT percentage in the history of the NBA!
You’re half right, they don’t want to look bad by not being for a big trade, but deep down they don’t believe they can win with Kerr as the coach, and they don’t want to ruin that relationship so they’re just going to go down with the ship and hope the young guys can do something. Also they do have a young core, when Steph doesn’t play they’re like 6-3, so you kinda biffed that one
@@ry_an. Depends what you mean by primary. Andrew Wiggins already was a close second option on a championship team, and Kuminga is averaging nearly 17 pts a game in 26 mins, he could easily be a 25+ ppg scorer if he was a starter, and he basically has been this season. Also the point is irrelevant, when people say you have a good young core, they usually mean that if you add a superstar 1st option then you should be able to contend
@@Francisturney what superstar first option could save the warriors. Curry with the young core missed the playoffs and was struggled against the Lakers and Kings. It was Curry with Draymond, Wiggins, Poole, Otto Porter. Moody and Kuminga I think will be better versions of KCP and Wiggins. Elite starters, not championship guys. A young core is like that of the Rockets, Pistons, Thunder. Warriors young core was getting benched in the playoffs.
@@ry_an. save the warriors? All you have to do is fire Kerr and they can go back to the 12-3 team they started with playing a bigger lineup with the young core along side curry, the superstar first option they already have. Obviously they weren’t a good young core when they were rookies, or not even in the league yet, the warriors haven’t been in the playoff for years, and Kerr admits that he failed them. They are just openly going down with the ship
Dallas tanks the other year and then they were praised after a decent draft pick. But the Warriors relax a bit and they're demonized. Don't get me wrong, I'm really frustrated with Kerr's obsession with smallballing.
A 37+ KD isnt going to put Golden State anywhere near the title. You cant rely on a 7 team roster. You need depth. Unless GSW find some cheap assets to role play on the bench, it isnt happening. The next 4 years of the West will be won by Houston, OKC, San Antonio, or Dallas. KD doesnt have what he once did. Its over for the Dubs.
A secret plan? Who tf comes up with this nonsense. When someone says something this dumb it shows their audience they've never played any organized ball and don't know a damn thing about organized ball.
It doesn’t matter what they do. Their core is too old. End of story. Bring in KD? This is a young man’s game and that’s been proven over and over and over again.
Damn, We gone from Wiggs with no value to Wiggs with real value, it was always like this, I never suspect one second about how valuable Wiggs is. The best Wing in the NBA compare money to value.
You're logic makes no sense. If someone is willing to pay Kuminga a max, then golden state has an all star right now. Trading assets for Giannis is not trading away the future: Giannis IS the future.
This is dumb. They arent lying. Trading for Jimmy would be desperate. Trading for Giannis would be ensuring their future, not "mortgaging" it. They are not even remotely similar, of course they will trade for Giannis
I get that Kuminga and Podziemski may not be putting up top numbers, but to trade them for someone like KD or Jimmy is a terrible choice. Jimmy is much older and maybe gets you a couple solid years at best. KD is the same currently. Develop Pod and JK so that when Steph/Draymond decide to retire, they have solid backup options available. As for the extension, JK has plenty of time to show the Warriors if he's a stud or a bust so there's no major reason to rush to sign him imo
You can always get a Kuminga or a Podziemski in the future if you choose too. They wont make sure you get to the play offs and they cant get you to the finals either if you dont have Curry carrying the team. They cant take over. KD is another story. It's a gamble that likely wont get them a title, but certainly the upside is much brighter than the downside.
@maxmeier532 That's not how the NBA works though. They could go out and draft someone that could fit that description, but what happens if they end up being a bust and you're back at square one? Having pod and Kuminga on the team to develop would help them in the future instead of going all out for a possible 1-2 year run.
how is getting a major star who is 5-7 years younger than them not leaving the warriors in a good place?? you get tittles now and have a pro Vet who has title experience you can build around after Steph leaves.

Part #3: most importantly - small ball era is over. You see it all over the west, and a few teams in the east (e.g. Cavs, Celts, sometimes the Knicks). Dubs require an actual legit 7' rim protector that is not a zero on offense. None of those are available (they are rare anyways). Without that piece, there is no combination of trades that gets Dubs past OKC, and Denver, Memphis, Houston, are all questionable in a series (possibly also Clips, Lakers, and
Excellent, saves me some typing

Wiggins is a headcase who will never be consistent.
Kuminga is still a project.
Great run, but it was over two years ago.
@kentstallard6512 wiggs was dealing with his father being sick and dying. Somethings are just more important than a game
You are giving kuminga and Wiggins wayyyyy too much hype. NO kuminga is not a max player now, that's just ridiculous. And Wiggins is a super underperformer as a number 1 pick. The warriors have 0 shot at the ship even with curry dropping 40 burgers every game. Curry should saddle up and bail if he wants a shot at 5.
you are beyond delusional when it comes to Kuminga. He is doing pretty good this year, but hell nah, his ceiling is not healthy Kawhi... He is closer to Jerami Grant than to being a Top 50 player in this league...
Kd might as well go back, he been trynna recreate a superteam since he left GS
It’s my birthday

Horrible trade proposal. Suns will want more than one pick for KD.

To my knowledge Durant is a UFA in 2026, so why the F would the Dubs trade Wigs, Payton, Looney and 1st rd picks to get 36 year old Durant now.
because they would 1. need to make sure they have the cap spcae in 2026 which requires dumping contracts to get there and loosing value.
2. Not only the Warriors would love to have him, far from guaranteed he would signe there even if they have the cap space
3. There are two Championships played out since then. If you want a shot at one of them, you should make the trade now. in 2026, Durant and Curry will both be 38 years old and probably both not Top 10 anymore.
5:53 If I remember correctly Jerry also was involved with that risky unpopular decision at the time to trade Monta Ellis instead of Steph.
Yeah I remember jerry saying something like if they traded steph he would be gone
I hate when teams do this, gomden statr wont have another steph in any of our lifetimes , you have to go all in , you will be rebuilding when steph and Dray are gone anyways
I agree that the warriors players are blossoming. That team that showed up in toronto were lovely, charming young ladies.
We all knew buddy heild wasnt going to keep those shooting splits up from the start of season
Tell that to a whole bunch of Warriors fans...
He is a 40% career shooter, yes it is unusual to shoot 33% for him. His numbers will go up soon
Starter/closer
C - Jakob Poeltl
PF - Nikola Vucevic
SF - Jonathan Kuminga
SG - Andrew Wiggins
PG - Steph Curry
2nd lineup
C - Kevon Looney
PF - Trace Jackson-Davis
SF - Moses Moody
SG - Buddy Hield
PG - Dennis Schroder
KD and Steph not enough
you funny
Steph is the GREATEST SHOOTER EVER! Like if you agree 👇🥶🔥
You don’t need to a superstar but a all star or a great bench player to pair with Steph
KD returning is a great scenario but injuries will ruin it, they are not the same
They could've done their best for someone like Lauri Markannen or Paskal Siakam and others but no they stuck with their old guys until they got even older, now they have nothing.
That KD trade 8:30 is trash. Suns will never accept that.
It's not up to them but KD. The warriors will not offer all of that for him though
Where did you suddenly acquire a lisp?
Warriors have a Mike dunleavy Jr problem hey Joe lightyear's narcissist who have totally failed Steph Curry with a pathetic roster just imagine Steph Curry not on this team what would be the worst team in the NBA
The only way they can leave golden state in good shape is by trading Steph and draymond
Bro it’s 2025 and you’re still using Better Help as a sponsor?!?!? You silly billy!
What did better help do wrong?
Yeah it's a scam, been known for years
Oh brother. Dubs are done. Come to grips with it. There’s nothing they can do, no trade they can make, that’s going to make them a contender. It’s over.
Moody could've been a stud already if he played
Moody does play. The thing that’s holding him back is his slow release shot, it messes up with his offensive presence and it doesn’t help that he moves slow when it comes to guarding on isolations. All it takes is one drive and Moody is completely beat.

Lakers dodged a bullet with Hield trade. They may not win another title but they're always in the playoffs/playin mix.
Forget the Warriors, can’t the Thunder get KD for a second-round pick 🙏🙏
Thunder don’t want or need KD
@Schi8694
No but Thunder could use KD.
@Schi8694 I think the joke is that KD needs the thunder more than the Thunder need KD.
@@nichodemus10 True.
In WWE what Kerr, Dray and Steph are doing is called WORK.. 😂😂
8:32 as a warriors see you I disagree With this trade cuz I would do everything to get KD but without giving up Wiggins reason being we don’t have anyone who can provide his level of defense with the scoring ability
I rather give up 2 more picks vs giving up Wiggins
This video's a little weird to me. Protecting leverage makes sense, agree w/ him there. But the Warriors do have a younger core they've been wary of trading. Kuminga, Jackson-Davis, Wiggins, Podz, could move any if they wanted to right? Kuminga seems like the only one they'll consider. So it seems like they're just being cautious, trying to protect leverage, and ARE serious about keeping the youngsters...maybe they're hoping to make a deal with virtually all draft capital on their side? I think they genuinely don't want to move anyone except Kuminga.
Finally a good ad. Freaking hate those betting ads. Love the channel and the work you do, I know everybody’s gotta eat.
Dray hurt his feelings there's absolutely zero chance kd thinking about warriors again lol
I've been saying kd should come back to Golden state! He has 1 more year left on his deal tho, so he could just sign there straight up next year.
Im sure he’d want to win outside of golden state
Stop calling my pookie a liar!!!!
In fairness to the GSW organization's take on Wiseman for that draft pick. The kid really did look 'NBA ready' his year on college and there was no 'questions' around his behavior or work ethic, etc. Wiseman just hasn't found the fit yet.
7:00 I disagree, part of it is team chemistry. Players are playing worse for fear of trades etc
😂😂😂😂 yall love calling out trades that would make the team even worse.
My boy curry says he don’t want a desperate trade or trade all the young players but when he scores 30 points and lose he looks all disappointed
I have long accepted the fact that the dynasty is over, Myers already had his time, not every time you hit the jackpot
100% Kd is reuniting with Steph! The Last Dance!
When yt pays so bad you have to have a sponsor just to get paid from the vid
Draft picks - you won't know if he would fit with the team or get better.
Those guys bcome good or bad bcoz of the whole organization behind them and the opportunity given to the player.
There's a lot of factor goin here, a simple exhange of situation definitely won't give you the same result.
6:36 massive?
If Steph Curry ever leaves the Warriors I will cry, like literal tears.
Even if he wins another ring?
I don’t think Kumiga is a bad player.
"We have Steph Curry"
No Wiggins, Curry has you. The warriors are being led by ball hog Curry. Curry cant close anymore.
My flawless chef would never lie to me😄
The trade for KD is not a bad idea BUT let's keep in mind that they started strong because of the defense, not the offense.
I don't think any trade even Giannis will help them, at the moment west and east leaders are balanced teams with one superstar.
Even if Steph and KD are both 35+ years old, if they somehow re-unite together, the Warriors will be instantly a title contender again
None of the young core guys are primary options on a championship team
Warriors aint trading JK. Most likely Kerr will be gone this offseason. If its for Kumpo then well talk!
Lol man wtf? Kerr will retire a warrior.
I think they just wanna see the offers Kaminga get and match. Plus they need a big man that shoots three, nothing else makes since.
Betterhelp ad is kind of whack
They could want Copper Flagg.
I think that’s what there doing 😊
@maxmeier532
That's not how the NBA works though.
Nah, Green would lose his shit if KD came again; the chemistry between them already is the worst.
