1:57 Just a tip, the reason you couldn't beat him when you were mashing was because he was plus there. Basically, whenever Gogeta shot his kamehameha and vanished, he had the advantage and could mash there before you could because his kamehameha makes Gogeta "plus" and you "Negative", Allowing Gogeta to hit first before you could. The only thing you can do in that situation is either raw level 3, block, or reflect. I suggest if you want to know about it better, then try and look up "Dragon Ball FighterZ Plus and negative". There should be some guides better explaining the whole mechanic.
@@Eclipse_10153 its really a mechanic in most, if not all fighters, especially ones as agressive as fighterz where its almost always close ranged combat. Knowing what could be plus or minus on block can be a total game changerand even some basic knowledge on things like it can be very valuable.
@@Masuo15 Yes he could technically, but it would be a risk because you could mess it up and accidently just slowly back up, and also Gogeta's normal would've probably caught the backdash anyway, better to just reflect or block

I know that you probably know this by now but with ui goku once you do his air punch in the air if right after it you do the kamehameha and then go into his level 1 it works. (P.S don’t let the air punch animation finish. Like right after you press the button to do air punch input the kamehameha)
