Watching Voiceplay videos I'm amazed not only by their vocal talents but all the talents that go into producing these videos. They are independent so the arrangements, the procurement of costumes and stages, the lighting and special effects are done for the most part by these amazing folks. If other people are involved it's listed in their credits. So much talent here.
I'm very old, not a gamer, but have learned so much from reactors who love these themes. They did the Halo theme about this same time frame. The Halo franchise watched and commented. The composer reacted to it with another reactor, the Charismatic Voice, and loved it. The featured artist in Halo is their original beatboxer, Scott Porter, who left for a very successful career in Hollywood. If you react to it, the outro is about half of the piece. Please, please, please watch the whole thing, it says so much about Voiceplay as a group and as individuals.
VoicePlay (and Geoff's solo work on his channel) is all amazing and entertaining and delightful. Check out each video description to appreciate how very, very much these guys do for themselves. There is often humor somewhere in the description too. They are skilled at choosing solo artists to feature who suit the songs they are covering. Omar has been featured with them several times.
Subscribing to witness your journey down the rabbit hole of VoicePlay (and maybe Geoff Castellucci’s as well - the deep bass who started this song) This really is a beautiful song and video. One thing I find amazing about them is also just how well they can go from genre to genre. As well as how hard it can be to remember there are no actual instruments other than their voices in almost all of their songs. On very rare occasions they will have an instrument but you will see it played in the video if they do.
There are at least 3 of the group who are serious Skyrim players. They've also done Halo, Sleeping in the Cold Below (WARFRAME), Geoff solo in Unshaken (Red Dead Redemption 2), Geoff's also done 2 of the Hobbit - Far Over the Misty Mountains Cold, I See Fire and 1 of the Lord of the Rings - Song of Durin. Before COVID wiped out touring, they did a fair amount of tours. After that, VoicePlay did a video called Just Sing, with most of the members over 23 yrs, featured vocalists, a couple of youngsters who are learning the craft from family with all of it done across Zoom. If you watch this (and I recommend it) make sure you have captions ON since that will tell you who the people are and their claim to fame. Some have gone on to Broadway, some into acting, some into productions.
The "dragon shout" got a big smile out of a lot of reactors who played Skyrim 😂❤ And I remember one person in the comments (sadly don't know who it was) saying, that Geoff didn't shout the Fus Ro Dah with them cause it could've worked and he would've summoned a dragon 😂😂
That sounds like a What It Do Dave comment. One of my favorite reactions when this first came out was by Arab Man Reacts. He got so excited that he stopped the reaction and went out and created an avatar based on Geoff’s character while we watched. Since I’m not a gamer I found that really interesting as well as hysterical.
you should listen to the saltatio mortis version with german voice actress Lara Loft. This is outstanding. (The lead singer of saltatio mortis also was a part of Warroirs of the world united by Feuerschwanz). Have fun with it
Aren’t they amazing! 😅

Fus Ro Dah!
Geoff walked in holding a skull in one hand as he rumbled so deep.

VoicePlay's version of this song made me go buy Skyrim right after this debuted years ago.
All their gaming songs are amazing! They do great arrangements and videos because it's also their passion! Thanks for this 😉⚘️🕊

Great reaction, if you’ve played Skyrim, you’ve probably played Halo, check out their video on that one it’s fantastic
Foos Ro Dah is one of the Dragon Spells
You really should check out VoicepPlay's cover of Nothing Else Matters by Metallica. It will blow your mind!

You don’t want to live in Skyrim. No toilet paper. Lol. VP is fantastic. You not only get a song you get a show with the best players
