This so reminds me of my trip to Lechlade earlier this year - those cows would always wake me at first light and I had to completley adjust my body clock to take account of thr early waking. I thought my days of being woken by grunting, snorting and licking were over!
Ur right what a lovely time early morning is, watching the sun 🌞 rise casting beautiful shades of colour l love the mornings too watching my dog running about while sitting on the park bench. Yet again a fantastic vlog full of beautiful content, Myles did a great job on the door with limited tools when the jigsaw failed. Ur not having much luck with the plants and those thieving cows lol😂, it must be so frustrating to nurture them only for them to fall victim to the cows😣. Ur vlogs show the lovely side to canal life l can't wait to see the other side when autumn and winter set in. Take care and hope all goes well for u this coming week👍. Simon

The electric saw is probably ok, but you need to hold the part that is being cut close to a solid base, e.g. the pallet. Cutting the wood as you tried will result in the saw pulling the wood up and down as the saw grips on to it, hence it didn’t work.
Your vlogs are beautifully relaxing and you have a very soothing voice. The summer solstice was back in June, so I hope you are still on the water. Will we see the September vlogs in December (before Yuletide)?
at 5.00am your boat will be covered in dew and cows love that , plus when it rains a very small amount of salt will be left behind and the cows will lick at that for ages even though its only the equivalent to a tiny sprinkle over the whole boat .
Amazing while watching cruising the cut I always was keen to know do anybody swim in these canals finally I got my answer glad I landed here thanks love from INDIA🙏
Glad you enjoyed it! Yes you can swim in some rivers (but check first on the Environmental Agency website), unfortunately canals are not swimmable. Hope that helps!
Really enjoyed the vlog once again the only time I had problems with swans was canoeing on the macclesfield canal about 4 decided they didn't like me attacked and chased me please take care both of you and thankyou
Hello, just a comment to say how much I enjoy your videos. Do you have any plans to navigate along the river Wey, it goes through some very picturesque parts of Surrey. It joins the Thames at Weybridge. There are a few locks but you are both expert’s at that now.

. Be careful when swimming and try to keep water out of ur mouth. It is cleaner then canal water for sure ( poop and pee drain into the canal from the cows ) 🤢 I’m sure some people throw organic material into the canal water too ,but still you can get very ill from river water. 😩 Organisms that carry illness are in all river water. Be safe as I really enjoy ur vlogs so much. Love to u from America ❤️🥰
Really enjoyed your Lechlade episodes! The animals were hilarious, as were your reactions. It’s convinced me to get a boat with a low enough air draft to get up there one day. Incidentally do you get any comment on the Union Flag? We got ‘told off’ on the Thames by a lock keeper back in the 80’s as kids for ‘flying’ a toy one, as only the Queen can fly it.

17:39 maybe the grass is really small and the cows are hungry that would explain the licking and trying to chom on rope/rubber/metal. maybe thats why they went berserk on the apple plant, i dont think cows usually munch on plants. i havent grown much plants but the stem looks large enough to grow some new leaves just fine. i just hope the pot is big enough. Just Curious have you tried Bonsai?

Are you sure it is safe to swim in canal water? British Waterways says not to swim : Contact with canal or river water can also bring about stomach illnesses or Weil's disease.

We were in Lechlade earlier in the year. The bovine boat washers are cute except when they steal our flag and eat your greens.

Hay-fever try local honey mine literally disappeared this year I was on the strongest hay-fever tablets before its so much more natural great vid :)
