About the Ruby vs Ragna fight. The animators said that originally Ragna was going to win in a much closer bout, but the higher-ups were like "fuck dat" and had them make it a curb-stomp in Ruby's favor. Also, the Silver Eyes thing is even more BS because Volume 6 is where we actually learned how they work, and this was done to *promote* Volume 6.
So Ruby vs Ragna is pretty much like Yang vs Tifa where Yang won, despite the fact that Tifa should have won, just to promote the show. Not really surprised by this.

DevilArtemis one of the animators for battles like Ganon vs Dracula said that the shortness in length was due to lost footage and the lag was a problem in post-production (out of his hands on that)
The thing is, the way Ruby won with Silver Eyes could’ve made sense, if the Silver Eyes actually did the thing that they do to Ragna in the actual series. For Context: Ruby vs Ragna was meant to promote Volume 6 of RWBY, Volume 6 was the first appearance of the silver eyes, so Ruby using them here could’ve most likely been the first representation of it. Which would be fine if it weren’t for the fact that the show itself retconned that and nerfed it to only work on Grimm. Why did they do that? I don’t know.

My point was that this was a bad first representation of Ruby’s silver eyes since to my knowledge, nothing in this video translates to how the silver eyes now work in the series. I say first representation since this was meant to promote volume 6 where I believe the silver eyes first appeared. It did nothing like it did in this video. They could’ve so easily changed that by just making Ruby’s “silver eyes” that powerful in the show but they didn’t. It’s just a random kill Grimm weapon. Like they couldn’t do that already.

I find it even worse that the ruby vs ragna fight is done with sprites from a crossover of the two series. Like imagine inviting characters to your game then the company releases an animation of your character being ripped to pieces by the character you invited to your game, its a really mean move.

Honestly I would've let Mewtwo win because Frieza won against him twice in One Minute Melee so I think it would've been nicer if Mewtwo won so that way they both can be even and get at least 1 win against each other. That's how I want battles most of the time.
The DBX version's alternate ending is better animated and looked like more time was put into it. Mega Mewtwo actually gets to do something for starters and doesn't go deer in the headlights. It's like they were going to have mewtwo win but changed it at the last minute. I get Mega Mewtwo doesn't have many sprites but I'm sure a full set exists somewhere. If it doesn't, in that case they should either edit their own (like they said they do in an old Q and A) or don't use him at all.

Don't ever remembering him doing it in the manga, and if we're using non-canon material the Lost Paradise even has a cyborg immune to Hokuto Shinken until Ken specifically targets his human parts Also with someone who could do what Ken does I'm more willing to believe he just punched the tank so hard it exploded from the force of his punch instead of pressure points
Kenshiro did a barrage against a tank and blew it to pieces. Tanks don't have pressure points but I'd imagine damaging the electronics would be similar to a pressure point, right?
A lot of these DBX's are ones I felt disappointed after watching. I'm surprised Link vs Meta Knight didn't make the list, it rivals Ragna vs Ruby's curbstomp level, and Alucard vs Spawn's run length. You know how Ragna only got two combos? Link doesn't get even a single hit in. Heck, he doesn't even ever throw an offensive ATTACK, the two times he swings his sword at Meta Knight they're in DEFENSE!! Despite being known for his huge arsenal of weapons, he only uses his sword, shield and Clawshot, and he's COMPLETELY stripped of the former two after clashing with one of Meta Knight's attacks. And finally, the fight itself from the "HERE WE GOOOOOO!" to the killing blow? 49 seconds. So over the course of 49 seconds, Link swings his sword twice in defense and then dies.
To be honest, DBX had a really bad start in it's early seasons, but in later seasons they got rid of the *"Coin Flip"* idea and started doing *"Fan Votes"* instead. (That's a good move in my Book, otherwise it would just be the same Formula as 1 Minute Melee)

I have no hate against ringmaster, he seems alright. Sort of like Sharon's role in riot rumble. Ringmaster also seems to show off their arsenal, which I really, really appreciate.
Watching DBX is fun however my least favorites were Rin vs Sakura Amy vs Sakura Yoshi vs Pac-Man Spiderman vs Mikasa Ragna vs Ruby Espio vs Greninja Silver vs Trunks Saitama vs Kenshiro However I enjoyed the other DBX episodes.

In fact I even heard someone say and I quote "Snake wins by default against anything. The only thing that can change is how difficult it would be for him to win. Against Naruto, no longer than three seconds" THREE SECONDS! I'm not a powerscaling expert but I'm pretty sure it's the other way around except for the whole winning against anything by default thing. That's just stupid say for both characters. Ok not going to lie, I was nervous if I would have seen Aigis VS Noel on here but I am glad it wasn't and nether was Vergil VS Hakumen but yeah Ruby VS Ragna while I think it was decent, Ragna should've won that except he didn't do anything as Ruby just stomped him like how does someone with the power of a beast that can wipe out half the world's population and had better training lose to a someone who is not at all on the same level as Ragna? Now as a BlazBlue fan, I feel like Ragna should've won that.
How ironic that the two franchises known for their fluid movement get one of the jankiest(is that how you spell it?) battles ever. Also, the 2008 Prince? The one that they used for the battle? Yeah, half of his platforming capabilities and a third(?) of his combat capabilities weren't even utilized considering that most of them come from his partner, Elika. Though I guess it's justifiable since it's a one-on-one an not a two-on-one, but still.

Alucard vs Spawn.

I really hate how people compare 2b and noctis because noctis could block and parry the giant but completely forget that 2b stops a machine with a digger for a arm in the same manner but she gets launched backwards because she has nothing to stop her from being thrown backwards besides the jets from the craft she's flying. Where as noctis actually has his feet on the ground. One of you is probably like well if she could why didn't she when she was on the bridge. That's because the machine already proved it can tear up said bridge with ease and the integrity of the bridge had already been destroyed. Blocking would have resulted in 2b being sent into the sea below. This is even supported later in the game when 2b and 9S go on to take down 3 of them while in the city, which is completely possible to accomplish while on foot.
I never got the point of DBX. No research? Ok then what's that summary in the beginning? Plus the research is my favorite part so I can try to guess who wins before the match starts
The summary in that case is more to give people a quick rundown of who the characters are so that they have some knowledge before the fight. Basically think the analysis portion of regular Death Battles if it was just the backstory and the rundown of their abilities and appearance. It's there to hopefully mitigate the problem everyone runs into with Death Battle and that's when you may know one combatant but you may not know the other.
There are some good ones. I suggest Ryu vs Liu Kang, Raphael vs Wolverine, Aegis vs Noel, Lucario vs Blaziken, Samus vs Master Chief, Blade vs Hellboy, and Bendy vs Cuphead.
I do agree with just about everything, but I'm just going to say that Kenshiro did blow up a tank using Hokuto Shin Ken despite it being a machine. Not the same way Genos vs Kenshiro did it, but I'm guessing that's one defense... everything else on the list though? Yeah, 100%

Sasuke vs. Hiei made me face-palm multiple times mostly due to the fight reason a stuffed Hello Kitty. You mean to tell me two of the most iconic anti-heroes known for being "emo, and edgy" are fighting over a stupid plush Hello Kitty that is lame as heck. At least the actual DB between them fixed it by having the fight reason being Sasuke doing his duty as a redeemed ninja of Konoha and asking Hiei where he was going, and letting Hiei know possible trouble makers aren't welcome in Konoha, resulting in Hiei well being Hiei.
One thing I will say in defense of ruby vs ragna I think its implied that ruby won because her silver eyes could damage the black beast. Fair assumption, but even if she could use the silver eyes on the ragna, she'd still get stomped on
After seeing the alternate ending of Mewtwo vs Frieza I understand why Mewtwo stood still, too bad DBX became a popularity contest and the cool ending is the alternate one.
....ok, one, *how* many times have we seen Alucard get his head quite literally blown off? Hell in the FIRST EPISODE he had his head cut off, and he regenerated from that shit! Kenshiro did a barrage against a tank and blew it to pieces. Tanks don't have pressure points but I'd imagine damaging the electronics would be similar to a pressure point, right?

A lot of these DBX's are ones I felt disappointed after watching. I'm surprised Link vs Meta Knight didn't make the list, it rivals Ragna vs Ruby's curbstomp level, and Alucard vs Spawn's run length.
You know how Ragna only got two combos? Link doesn't get even a single hit in. Heck, he doesn't even ever throw an offensive ATTACK, the two times he swings his sword at Meta Knight they're in DEFENSE!! Despite being known for his huge arsenal of weapons, he only uses his sword, shield and Clawshot, and he's COMPLETELY stripped of the former two after clashing with one of Meta Knight's attacks. And finally, the fight itself from the "HERE WE GOOOOOO!" to the killing blow? 49 seconds. So over the course of 49 seconds, Link swings his sword twice in defense and then dies.
Tbf, MK also gets like two hits in. The fight treats their swords like they would actually cut.

To be honest, DBX had a really bad start in it's early seasons, but in later seasons they got rid of the *"Coin Flip"* idea and started doing *"Fan Votes"* instead.

Ok not going to lie, I was nervous if I would have seen Aigis VS Noel on here but I am glad it wasn't and nether was Vergil VS Hakumen but yeah Ruby VS Ragna while I think it was decent, Ragna should've won that except he didn't do anything as Ruby just stomped him like how does someone with the power of a beast that can wipe out half the world's population and had better training lose to a someone who is not at all on the same level as Ragna? I really hate how people compare 2b and noctis because noctis could block and parry the giant but completely forget that 2b stops a machine with a digger for a arm in the same manner but she gets launched backwards because she has nothing to stop her from being thrown backwards besides the jets from the craft she's flying. Where as noctis actually has his feet on the ground.
One of you is probably like well if she could why didn't she when she was on the bridge. That's because the machine already proved it can tear up said bridge with ease and the integrity of the bridge had already been destroyed. Blocking would have resulted in 2b being sent into the sea below. This is even supported later in the game when 2b and 9S go on to take down 3 of them while in the city, which is completely possible to accomplish while on foot.
I never got the point of DBX. No research? Ok then what's that summary in the beginning? Plus the research is my favorite part so I can try to guess who wins before the match starts
The summary in that case is more to give people a quick rundown of who the characters are so that they have some knowledge before the fight. Basically think the analysis portion of regular Death Battles if it was just the backstory and the rundown of their abilities and appearance. It's there to hopefully mitigate the problem everyone runs into with Death Battle and that's when you may know one combatant but you may not know the other.
Ruby vs Ragna is so dissappointed is like Goku vs Deku and Deku win the fight with no damn sense

I do agree with just about everything, but I'm just going to say that Kenshiro did blow up a tank using Hokuto Shin Ken despite it being a machine. Not the same way Genos vs Kenshiro did it, but I'm guessing that's one defense... everything else on the list though? Yeah, 100%

You mean to tell me two of the most iconic anti-heroes known for being "emo, and edgy" are fighting over a stupid plush Hello Kitty that is lame as heck. At least the actual DB between them fixed it by having the fight reason being Sasuke doing his duty as a redeemed ninja of Konoha and asking Hiei where he was going, and letting Hiei know possible trouble makers aren't welcome in Konoha, resulting in Hiei well being Hiei.
Kratos vs Dante is a legit world ending fight when they go all out but in DBX, they just kinda fake fight until Kratos splits in half

After seeing the alternate ending of Mewtwo vs Frieza I understand why Mewtwo stood still, too bad DBX became a popularity contest and the cool ending is the alternate one.
....ok, one, *how* many times have we seen Alucard get his head quite literally blown off? Hell in the FIRST EPISODE he had his head cut off, and he regenerated from that shit! So, making his head explode is just gonna make him laugh, and show you what he can actually do, if he concentrates a little.
