thanks for the suggestion! I am working on all creatures right now. But I am doing a separate video for the Eternal Cylinder agents since there is no way those things are creatures. But also for video length, I do not like making super long videos. The creatures one is 28 minutes already.
you can find some of these earlier. I found a fish body one really early in one of the early arctic zones. i got a mixer body one in the first mini-arctic zone i had (not a full zone just an edge area) which made some parts really easy having bombs early. and chests can have later catalysts in them, I got an extra wheel body much earlier than the desert (and another when I found a trebhum in a house with it already mutated). oh and iridescent skin provides some small protection from yellow light, but then it will be the first mutation lost.
Holy moly, thank you for putting this out. The lack of video/article coverage on this game is criminal. I have a question though. It’s obviously possible to find and use every mutation in a single playthrough, but is it also possible to unlock them all permanently in the mutation chart? I uh…just “raised a platform” in the desert and the majority of recipes I have are for the winter biome. Short of writing down every single recipe and having them at the start of a new game, it doesn’t seem possible.
I think there are only 12 shrines in the game that teach mutations, but you need 14 to learn everything. So you will always be short 6 mutations. However, if you kill Exonerators, Liberators, and Cleansers they drop an item that will automatically unlock 1 mutation and protect it. Currently there is a bug where it won't teach you mutations you have not learned but have the recipe for. Devs said they are working on a fix for that. I will be making a video going in more detail, I just need to do it myself first to know its possible. I killed some Cleansers and got several mutations for free. I have not unlocked every mutation yet though.
@@Nivalagaming I was just gonna say that I heard about that bug as well in the discord so I guess the dream 100% completion is unachievable at the moment
@@Nivalagaming Well I’m still on my first run and didn’t have a great feel for how long certain ingredients would be available, so like the initial comment said, it seems like you have to know in advance the recipes (at least until that patch comes out).

Yay, a new Eternal Cylinder video! 😃 This seems to be an updated version of the Mutations guide video. Maybe the next video will be an updated Creatures Video.
Remember these facts you mentioned before about the various creatures in these previous videos: - The bushes will help stop almost every creature from chasing you - The Tonglegrop, Zooshgarg & Frozen Sklaa have their own themes - Omnogroms will help break open certain items & will leave you alone for a few seconds afterward - Vuushlops will not pick up Trebhum with the Sucker Feet or the Aposematic Skin - Treghrum will not "seize a Trebhum" despite what the Compendium says - Zooshgarg cannot be killed - Frozen Sklaa now attacks & eats the Foosh Also, all the methods of defeating the creatures (scaring an Omnogrom with the Deimatic Trunk & Rattle Trunk, killing Glikbol via Poison Pit/Wheel Body/Tongue/Toxic Trunk/Pyrogenic Trunk)
Finally I finished the game and can watch videos without spoiling the experience for myself. Nice video, I did manage to get all mutations in my game but when I was missing a few in terms of making them permanent I was a bit bummed out, glad to hear it currently isn't all that possible to get all mutations (I unlocked a bunch of recipes after it was impossible to get their ingredients and when I figured out that the servants of the cylinder drop the mutation thingy I only came about like 5 more enemies that dropped it.) But are you sure mixer bodies only drop from the tundra tonglegroplets? I am pretty sure I got some more organs from normal ones I killed post-tundra. It might be they only start dropping them post tundra (or that I misremember). And so the tracks you can see with the eye mutation hint at caves... I never found anything and only noticed that big enemies can destroy all kinds of stones very, very late. Apart from that I learned a bit about some mutations, like, the tornado one... do you have any idea how much time I spent climbing one of those damn palm trees with inflatable body + hophop legs just to find out what item grows on the top? And I could just have flown up there easily? Damn. (But just like with the caves, I knew I was missing something but I just couldn't figure it out/chalked it up to "will get a mutation for that later") And my favourite mutation? Inflatable body, once I got it the trebhum with that mutation was the one I controlled 99% of the time. The same goes for camouflage and quadruped legs. Once I got them I never used anything else except a situation specifically required it. For trunks and eyes there is no mutation that I actually strongly felt about.
Thanks for sharing. I have not tried killing tonglegroplet after the tundra so I will have to give that a try! I'm glad I could help you figure out how to get on top of those trees in the desert. The Inflatable body is very useful for getting around it is one of my favorites too!
Playing the game I got to the desert biome already, but I never really figured out the right mutation there, but I guess my favourite has to be shock skin, that save my skin once
Kind of random but I just wanted to say this, have a good day and if you think no one loves you you’re wrong because somewhere somehow you might’ve posted something that made someone else happy and they might still remember you and are still grateful❤️
Yes, not even Great Ghaar are safe from the Cylinder, they collapse & die upon getting touched by the Cylinder. The only creatures that DON'T die to the Cylinder is the Zooshgarg, which can just fly over it, & the Celestial Treewhala, who can just fly away from it.
One time I got sucked up by the zuschar thing or whatever, (the deadliest one), but even though most of my trebhum were picked up none of us got eaten and I do not know why
My ideas mutations changes for the eternal cylinder Idea 1:Glickbol: Killing it and eating the head will have you the protection mutation what it does is it will trap you in a blur ball and protect you from most predator but with a limited time (about 20 seconds) Idea 2: Tonglegroplet: killing and eating the Tonglegroplet will gave you the duck and roll mutation what it does is it will gave you the ability to charge and roll to kill most predator Idea 3: Omnogrom : killing the Omnogrom and eating it will gave you the CHOMP CHOMP! Ability what it does is it will gave you a giant mouth to kill most predator and you can charge the CHOMP CHOMP! To do massive damage to your enemy Idea 4: Tripobosh : killing the Tropobosh and eating it will gave you the long nose ability what it does is it will a gave you the ability to select any item once you select you item you can sniff where the item is you will get a noise when you are close to you item the louder the noise get the closer you are and it will blur your vision (not completely blind you) Idea 5: Cleanser : killing the Cleanser will drop a broken car light eating the car light will gave you the bright light ability what it does is it will gave you 2 car light that will scare away predator and slow their speed down by 29% but it will brighten you vision Idea 6: Mathematician : killing the Mathematician (which is basically impossible) will drop the Mathematician brain eating the brain will gave you the Mind control ability what it does is it will gave you the ability to tame the cylinder agents, once you successful tame the cylinder agents you can make them target and kill most predator also the Cleanser and the witness will have different light the Cleanser light will scare away most predator and the Witness light will slow you target by 39%
Making all the enemies edible sounds mischievous Also the mathematician brain will be a story item which will be at the end of the game after the mathematician was killed for the new 2023 update
Is there a way to play the game again with all your progress, like saved mutations recipe and compendium files and upgrades, every time I restart from chapter one it erased all my progress and I have to do it all again, am I missing something or is this progress reset on purpose?
sadly no, the only way is to copy your save file at various points as you play the game. I made a bunch of copies of my save file so I can go back throughout the game to test things. You can do this by going to your (C:)drive > Users > [insert your user name here] > AppData > Local > TheEternalCylinder > Saved > SaveGames > SavedData.sav. Copy that SavedData.sav file to another location. Do NOT rename it. What I did was made a bunch of folders with names so I could remember what the save contained. Also appdata does not show up as an item but you can type in \AppData on the top bar and it will appear as an option.
@@Nivalagaming thanks so much, I hope in the future they bring out a sandbox mode so we can experiment freely, found it a bit silly at some points when it asks for ingredients when I’m past the only zone where it can be found, also that we can’t save compendium entries or mutations makes efforts seem pointless
