- Join us as we tour the dove field 65 days after planting corn and sunflowers. We have beautiful sunflowers and some corn cobs starting to emerge. Millet field is looking great 28 days after planting. Thanks for watching, enjoy!
You certainly have the feed for them. You'll have plenty of dove especially with that clean ground under the corn and sun flowers. It's looking good so far. Sorry about the deer issues this year.
Thank you sir, I think there will be some food around. Lot of good looking corn up the road from us and a big spring wheat harvest as well. Lot of well fed birds in our area
Wow amazing, Love from Nagaland ✌️
Nagaland Indian?? Thanks for watching!
Good video! I just want a video showingvwhere you make a small water hole in the middle of a field 🤩
Looking really good man.
Thank you sir! Not our best work but should be some food around
were the deer jumping the bottom two strands?
Pretty sure they were jumping between the top electric row which is the third and that high white line above there’s about a 2 foot gap there someplace is three.
Last year we did the two row 3D fence, but that was a lot of pain to weed & mow around so we tried something different
Looking good!
Wow!!! that fields looks great, greetings from Lincolnton NC, God willing it will be a great hunting season.
God willing! Thanks for following along
My weed control is not great, I have great sunflowers with good heads but I’m concerned about weeds, I’m planning to spray glyphosate about 2-3 weeks before the opener to get clean ground for the seeds to fall on it. Any experience or advice I follow? Thanks
Looks good. Got half of my sunflowers in April 28 and rest in approximately June 12. Just got some pictures got some nice heads on them.
Good stuff! Hope it works out well for you
Looks good buddy, my sunflowers got outgrown by the woolly Croton. But doves love that too so we still should be in good shape. Got clean ground under the croton and it’s starting to head out
Should be in good shape ! Good luck with the field
why this verity of sunflower instead of native sunflowers?
Great question. The Clearfield is a GMO that allows the use of post-emergent broad leaf herbicide (Imazamox). Critical to keeping a clean field so birds can access the seed below.
That spot that has no sunflowers looks like it holds water. That would explain the crappy growth.
Yes, there is a low spot in both the sunflower field and corn field that hold water. We are also in clay soils and had a ton of rain
@@Yellowlab247_Outdoors I’ll bet you good money that’s why your sunflowers are bad there and not deer eating them.
Shoot the deer this fall
They are turning into pets for the landowner. Probably do need to things some doe’s!

Depending on how bad the grass and weeds are, I would spray as soon as possible. it can take two weeks to see really good results and three weeks to even begin opening up the ground.
Good luck!
