I agree! Which is counter-intuitive since red light filters supposedly help with watching screens before bed, but I also find blue to be much more calming. So I've been experimenting with having blue tones but with darker ambience to balance it out.
Hi, Maple! Happy late Thursday and welcome to the fifth month of May!😊😊😊😊😊😎☀🌌💙💙💙💙💙💙🇺🇸🌷💖💖💖💖💖💖🎇🎇🎇🎇🎇🎇👍. I love these cozy sounds during the rain while it's cloudy outside. When I went to the park, I saw this beautiful rainbow in the sky and I said, "I hope that Maple will love to see this rainbow on her front porch while it's raining and sunny altogether." So...yeah. Also, I love your "Outfit of the Day 30:44". It's...fabulous!😍😍😍😍😍😍😍👍. Well, have a wonderful night and welcome to the fifth month of May!😊😀😙💙💙💙💙💙💙🌌🇺🇸🌷💖💖💖💖💖💖💖🌌😊⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐👍
Oh that sounds so lovely! I haven't actually seen a good rainbow yet for spring, I hope I get one soon. Hope you have a lovely May as well my friend 😊🌈
I love the plants in the fire place idea. Either way, you should put a light behind whatever you put in there, even if its a soft like night light. I think that would make it just nice to look at and whatever you put in there no super dark.
I've occasionally had similar "Is this good? I can't tell!" moments when cooking dishes I myself don't enjoy. I appreciate your perseverance in making these videos despite that. Thank you, Maple.
Yes, it can be such a difficult thing!! I actually knew a vegetarian chef who was PHENOMENAL at cooking, including meat (she didn't consider it cheating on her vegetarian diet if it was for work), and it was fascinating hearing her talk about how she didn't personally enjoy the food she was making, but she knew how to make the best version of it anyways.
It is! I wish I could wear it more - it's slightly cropped, so if I wear a regular shirt under it, it looks weird... so there's only a brief period of the year I can wear it where it's still cold enough to wear a sweater, but warm enough to have a gap between my sweater and my pants haha
Here via Reddit and wanted to leave you a comment here! This is absolutely lush! I love lens brushing and rain sounds. Saving this for falling asleep later!
I like the idea of the fire painting for the fireplace. I think I had a dorm room that had a non-usable fireplace many years ago, but I don't remember what I used the space for.
Hi Maple 🍁 I love this video! It's so fun and feels like you are with us in the room. The fireplace is a good idea! I don't know if it's an option, but there are pots with substance in it which you can safely burn and refill and they actually make woodsy sounds. (Sorry English is not my native language). But if you don't want any heat or fire near it, the succulents are a great idea ❤
Awh, I'm glad it felt like I was in the room with you, that's exactly what I was going for!! And ooh, real woodsy noises actually sounds really cool. And never apologise about your English! It's miles better than me in any other language haha 😄
Paint a picture of a fire for sure! that would look really cool A while back at my family's cottage there was a fire ban, so we took some wood planks to make a stand, and then used some poster board to make a fire picture instead 😄
I love this free format without scripts or structures. It brings out all your charisma in such a pure way. Truth be told, I have a hard time concentrating on more than one thing at a time; which is great for activities like meditation or writing an excerpt from a book, but it makes it hard for me to pay attention to triggers while listening to what you're saying. It's like the reverse of ADHD, curious, isn't it? I vote for painting. I always go for the artistic type choices.
Awh that's so nice to hear! I was really feeling good about this one, so I'm glad my "me-ness" came across. In these videos I can sometimes get in a flow state where it really feels like I'm just hanging out with the person on the other end. Also that is such a curious trait!
Love the face brushing also, as the fluffy brush is so cozy. Fan brushes and thin brushes are some of my favorites, the flushy brushes in real life vs videos are different to me. I've had people do the flowers in the fireplace and the paintings. Whichever fits you're asthetic or style better is what works the best. In VA and TX we always have more sun so both have worked. But if its always rainy, and you have a cozy space the succulents may not fit the space. The paintings in my opinion work better if you paint it like you're looking at it in a fireplace rather than using the whole canvas. If you set the canvas in the wood holder, the fire would kind of be floating and somewhat smaller to give the light and shadows that would be created by the fire. If you just paint logs and fire, full size on a canvas it doesnt highlight the painting and you cant see any of it when the lights are down lower for the cozy effect. If you paint it inside the canvas and then shade it to have lights and darks, you can blend it into the black of the fireplace. If you put a light with a mini disco ball behind it when you want it lit, you could also use some of the back of the canvas to show off highlights and change the shadows as the light passes through it for some shadows. Like thin swoops of white to give it dimension on the back of the canvas with the painting in the front and a disco ball to kind of throw hard spotted lighting like the burning embers and make the whole thing "move." Asmr massage got his shirts like that by adding starch. Go to the dry cleaners and have your jacket or shirts cleaned but have them add extra starch to them. They hold their creases and they make all that noise by doing them that way. Dr coats, mens dress shirts, and cowboy jeans with the heavy duty crease down the center of the leg.....they all have extra starch added to them at the dry cleaners.
And yes, there is an arm! You are not crazy, there is absolutely a pokey arm! They haven't watched enough to see the arm if they don't know there is an arm. They're just poser yule log channel watchers.
So I had done some research yesterday, and it might have been mostly a Canadian thing to have the arm. Apparently some loops have one and some don't! Also love the tip about the light and the disco ball - that would look so cool. I'll have to do some brainstorming on if that's something I could do there. And also appreciate the tip about the starch, I'll have to look into it :)
@@MapleWhispersASMR it might be a Canadian thing, but I've seen the arm a bunch of times. It's probably been less of a thing too with progress in tech...loop the fire and never need to replace or readjust the logs. Either way, there are others of us that pay attention to things like you
You know they make imitation fire lights. They flicker as a fire would. They are inconsistent and randomly flicker like a real fire. However I like your succulent idea. Green life in a dark place is nice.
Awesome video today friend 😎 love when a video is just you being yourself you're awesome and when things like part of slime fall on the floor, that there is just a happy little accident 😊 Always nice seeing the MIGHTY Fluff brush and honestly, unless I've ever missed it, if you'll paint the fire you should do a paint video 😮 you know I love Dr Demitri he recently came back if I'm correct from a trip. Anyway hope all is well and I hope you have a wonderful weekend stay awesome 🤘💀🤘
Happy little accident - yes! It also reminds me of classic Julia Child cooking videos. She would mess something up and then just joke about how she would cover it up in a certain way so no one would notice. I really loved her attitude towards cooking, and it's applicable in most things in life!
Haha, "Maple Unplanned" has the same ring to it as "Django Unchained" 😆 Btw, I really like how thoughtfully and gently you do your ASMR videos, also the reminder at the end, I really appreciate that ❤ Please, by all means, try the fire painting, I'd be curious how that'd look like 👀 Succulents are fine, too, of course. You can try both and see which one works better.
LOL Maybe I should call it the "Maple Unplanned" series hahaha I might try both, and then just get a little container for the succulents so if I decide on the painting I can put them in a windowsill :)
Hi Maple 🙂 Maple Unplanned 😂. I'm used to those rain sounds usually during the Wimbledon fortnight 🎾 😂. Just imagine NOT getting tingles from a Maple video 😵.
The Styrofoam scratching was fine with at half volume, but annoying at full volume. Just some blunt honest feedback since you asked. I really like the rainsounds. I am probably going to fall asleep before this is over.
Oh 1 other thing, I like how you turn your head side to side. For some reason humans faces look more attractive when they are turned slightly than straight on. "Can't be wooder than wood" 😆😝🪵
Maybe you could have mushrooms 🍄. Those would be better than succulents. You could get some birch logs with fake mushrooms on them. Real mushrooms 🍄 probably wouldn't be a good idea. Birch logs would probably be best because they are white ⚪️ and would contrast the black ⚫️ fire place.
Good to know about the half volume. Maybe I can still add it in as a layered sound at half volume sometime. Also glad you liked the wooder than wood 😂😂
@@MapleWhispersASMR, I like when I can turn the volume down some. Some channels are always too quiet and I have trouble hearing. Also when the volume is down, the volume of the adds are down too. I like being able to adjust the volume up or down to the perfect level. If it sounds right at half volume, I think that's perfect. If I have the volume all the way up or all the way down, I loose the ability to adjust my sound.
@@alexanderlapp5048 Yeah I know I struggled with loudness back at the beginning of the channel because I didn't realize it was being dampened so that the ads stand out better I guess.
