That ref was terrible. I’ve never seen a more one sided ref in such a high profile fight. He was extremely bias in favor of Haney. He kept telling Ryan to “get off his head” but it was Haney who kept leaning into him and he didn’t even give him a warning for that but was very quick to take a point off of Ryan. Plus the clear knockdowns that he ruled as “slips”. I didn’t have a favorite coming into this fight but I hate unfairness and so I’m glad Ryan won.

Ryan's camp has done their homework with those tapes, Haney just keeps gettin hit with those left hook right off the first bell. I dont know if its the speed or they just figured out a loophole on Haney's defense. But I guess, the main factor that disrupted Haney's gameplan is as simple as not being mentally prepared in cases he got rocked. Yes, he did recovered physically, but it was apparent that its already a psy war right after the first knockdown. He was asked by questions he was never asked before, and unfortunately he hasnt has the right answers either. No gameplan adjustment from Haney's corner after he hit the canvas, maybe they thought it was not even a possibility and they were caught unprepared.
Overall a solid performance by Ryan, shown a lot of improvement since, particularly in his discipline inside the ring, in fight adjustments, as well as his defense and ring control. He deserved that win.

Losing against tank might have been a blessing. Ryan is still sloppy but you can tell he's improved and isnt afraid of the spotlight

We just watched the tyson vs. paul fight and garcia vs. haney fight all in one fight before that fight and after this fight.
I honestly didn't think Garcia was mentally prepared for this fight but he really impressed me.
