Ladybug and Patriotic Clothespin Wreaths. Easy Dollar Tree diy. Everything from Dollar Tree except the paint. I used 41 red and 41 black clothespins for the lady bug and 30 red, 30 white and 20 blue for the patriotic wreath. 14" wreath frame. Thanks so much for watching. I hope you enjoy this project. 🙂

These are beautiful. I have made a few of these and have experimented with coloring the pins. Soaking the pins in Rit dye is easy and works great too. Soak for 24 hours and spray with polyurethane when dry. Easy Peary.

These turned out so well. I created a ladybug wreath too. I repainted the ladybug, since it was chipped. I dyed my clothespins all red, just left them in a large jar full of the dye mix. I was too lazy to paint them.

When I did my bumble bee wreath, I left the clothes pins on the cardboard they came on, and painted the first side Then flipped them over and painted the other side. Easy Peasy! Love these wreaths, too! Will be making them! TFS.

I 😍 these both, so cute. Once the clothespins are colored, the fun begins. Smart use of that embossing tool, what perfect dots. You gave me an idea about wiring flowers to my craft door wreath. I didn’t want to glue them. I took my clothespins apart and colored them all over with BIC markers to avoid any paint odor. I don’t recommend that for people with carpal tunnel or hand problems!!! This time around I am cheating by buying pre-painted pins from Michaels which I found on sale. I made 3 patriotic flags 🇺🇸 from taking apart and using the underside of the DT (medium sized) clothespin leg. The rippled grooves make the flag look like it is waving in the breeze. Gave one to our postal worker 📫 for Postal Workers Day which he liked a lot. Will be looking forward to more of your clothespin projects.

Hi Jodi I did the ladybugs 🐞gave one to each of my three sisters they loved them. I also did a butterfly 🦋the same colors as this picture that I found at the Dollar Tree gave that one to my sister in law she loved it keep up the good work. I think I’ll try the bumblebee 🐝next time.
