the first time i heard these lyrics, i thought it was a similar song to “freaking out the neighborhood”, in that his mom was worried about Mac’s choices. now that i have heard it several times and realize it’s about male anxiety, it hits way different

I remember discovering Marco in 7th grade, 2017. Right when “This Old Dog” released. His music was a big part of my adolescence. I’m now gonna be 20 soon, it’s crazy to think about. This song reminds me of the many summers I would listen to Marco, driving down to Ocean City Maryland, windows up, wind rolling and sunset blazing. What a more peaceful and simple time
