- Baby Monkey SUGAR Frozen in Fear of Mom’s Punishment for Breaking Plates. Today mom and baby monkey Sugar are selecting fruits in the kitchen when Sugar suddenly hears dog’s bark and jumps in startle. Unfortunately, Sugar kicks the fruit plate into the ground and it is broken into pieces. Baby monkey Sugar screams in fear of mom’s punishment, she looks frozen because she is very scared.
Mom is so worried that Sugar may get hurt, she checks everywhere to make sure that baby monkey Sugar is ok. Mom also assures baby monkey Sugar that she won’t be punished because Sugar is not intentional. Luckily, baby monkey Sugar is not getting hurt. Then mom takes baby monkey Sugar to drink milk to calm her down.

Animals, not unlike young children, are very sensitive to loud noises, and freezing in fright for a while is a rather common reaction. Mom was quick to reassure Sugar and brought her back to a more serene state of mind. Brava mom👍🤗❤

I just want to say how wonderful Mom handled the broken plate. Checked Sugar first to make sure she was OK. ❤ That melted my heart and let me know how much she loves Sugar. I used to watch monkey Max. He broke a plate and his owner yelled and screamed at him the whole video. I've never watched him again..
I check in on Max' videos every now and then but dislike how his owner always scolds him for things like "running away.". How bout keep the door shut dummy. I also had to stop watching Max as we!! . All I wish is that people would love and take care of their monkeys properly, which I know is a lot of work.

Mom I don't think she's afraid of punishment. You are so gentle with her! I think the dog barking loudly followed by the sudden sharp sound of the bowl crashing on the floor shocked her, poor Sugar. But you comforted her so well, good job mom!

Oh, pobrecita pequeña bebé, qué susto se ha llevado con el ladrido de Na y además ha coincidido que se ha caído y roto el plato. Se ha quedado paralizada. Suga es muy sensible y seguramente no está acostumbrada a sentir ladrar a sus hermanitos "perrunos". Por suerte mamá la calma con su ternura, dulzura y su biberón. Es adorable esta pequeña bebé ❤❤❤

You can see it in the video with your own eyes. There were no cuts in the video during the accident. Learn to observe. Watch the other videos of Sugar.

Although, I notice several times in other videos that Sugar has gotten scared from sleeping or something has spooked her. Is it possible that some thing or someone might be scaring her? Wow something new I learnt today -- they can really go into shock. She was literally petrified stiff. Frozen stiff and blanked out, and went catatonic. Like shell shocked. Just like that. She's really scared of the dog's bark or loud noises. I've seen her jump many times when they bark. She got a double scare when the plate fell and broke. Poor girl. Good thing you comforted her but she was not really herself, even when she was drinking milk. Hope she has recovered.
Wow you are so careful when you wrapped up the broken dish. What were you writing on the package? You are a very careful and conscientious person. Me, I wouldn't have been so thorough. But I would have swept and vacuumed too as there are many animals walking around barefoot. Its for their safety.

Sugar is smart, I think she got scared of punishment because mom had placed her several times in her chair, away from the knife, but she kept disobeying and getting in the way of the knife. So she was startled and then froze for fear of punishment. They do it in the wild a different type of "tantrum".

@helen-ka9078 This is a multigenerational household. So there is mom and there is grandma. There is only 1 monkey, 2 dogs and 2 cats. They made a question and answer video not too long ago, and of course all the videos they have made since Sugar joined her adopted family. Check them out, they are great content.
