    That is a very cool-looking plant! I like those little umbrellas. Another 'pine' I really like is the Norfolk Island pine with its soft 'needles', like you mentioned these needles are soft.

      Hell yeah my dude! Probably a little further south from Niseko, more of a Honshu thing

    Do you know a lot about these? Forgive me if you don’t know the answer. I have one growing right against my house. It is too close and growing into my soffit. I love it, but i need some aggressive pruning or i will have to get rid of it altogether. Can i top it and shape it or do they not respond well to main trunk cutting? Thanks.
