- a little something i started building this year. a 5 cylinder turbo diesel mercedes engine into my land rover discovery 2. A huge thanks to gary at gaz fab england for the adapter plate.

Great video man. Me and my dad are trying to swap om617 into our Land Rover same year as yours. Have you figured out the shifting ?

Honestly i didnt mess with any of that stuff to fire it up. Sadly one of my torque plate bolts broke along with the adapter plate and i have not done anything with it anymore.
Cool swap! What vehicle did the rear pan come from?
Not exactly sure but it came from an OM605 engine which did not sell here in america.
Where did you get rear sump conversion and oil pan from?
Off ebay from an OM605. A chap in england had a posting with pan, dip stick and pump.

@@freerunning9z ill be very honest i dont have an exact number but i probably have like around 6 grand in it already from purchasing the donor car plus another land rover and other odds and ends.
