Yes it was a big development, although the rapids already existed it was just relandscaped.

1:35 That is definitely the runaway train at Chessington not the one at Towers! And at 2:25 is the old outdoor vampire queue music from 1990 at Chessington as well.
Yes the Alton Towers runaway train wasn't built yet so footage of the same model at Chessington was used. You're right that's the same ambient track that was used inside the crypt corridor in Vampire
The original concept for the diner ghosts is quite spooky actually

I don't think John built the Runaway Train model, not sure. Sparks built the Haunted House one

Great video, but of its time. Don't think they'd get away with using language like "Colonial" and "Dark Continent"!
It's set in colonial Africa (victorian era) but "dark continent" is a pretty weird dated phrase now. No harm intended though, the theme was just about having some good old fun

Bit iffy still! Are you aware of the updates to Tomb Blaster at Chessington? I think it's still very similar except some new audio. That restaurant in the video looks great as well.

@@Timr2 as soon as I herd ghost host I immediately thought of disneys Haunted mansion/Phantom manor. Also because the narrator said friendly ghosts just like the disney original 👍
