  • I visit Alstom train depot - The Elizabeth Line train depot to be precise in Old Oak Common area in West London. We are told NO drones and that it is ILLEGAL.
So we send the drone up.

The restricted area is inside the London Control Terminal Area which restricts Helicopters from flying. The CTA has heli lanes designated to transit the CTA unless authorised by the London air traffic control to transit off the designated heli lanes usually only twin engine helicopters. The restricted area however does not apply to drones.Hope that answers your question.

Drones can fly in a red zone along as its a CTR inside of that red zone would be a FRZ you cannot fly in the FRZ part as that's the flight restriction zone just take care in a CTR zone

The amount of roof mounted equipment can be many reasons, having to increase the roof strength required, maintaining on roofs is an increased risk. They only need so many to run thier own building.
The high rises/ hs2 buildings will (or possibly) interfere with light in future.

you are incorrect, i have flown drones in london dozens of times and with police looking over.I have also had police ask me how much i payed for my drone as he wanted one for his son. - You can fly a drone in London with the appropriate CAA license or ID and obey all local flight rules. Individual boroughs have their own rules about drone usage, and the city has a variety of off-limits places.....and use common sense...
