My bio is pretty random: In short, I am a professional singer/songwriter from Toronto, Canada who moved to Manila, Philippines which sorta became my Hollywood because my first UA-cam channel MIKEYBUSTOSVIDEOS grew popular due to Filipino comedy videos. Meanwhile, I'm also a big biology geek who is obsessed with ants, so I built an internationally operating ant business supported by another popular channel called ANTSCANADA, and well basically, today I travel and tour around the world doing what I love so I wanted to start this vlogging channel, in hopes to encourage you guys to follow your dreams no matter how random, by showing you what happened when I followed mine! You just never know where life will take you when you listen to the yearnings of your heart!

3:03 This is a common misconception. Melody is a Japanese bobtail. Which despite the name, is actually a breed that is also native throughout Southeast Asia. And also, as the name suggests, it is bobtailed. The short tails (which can range from very short to seemingly just missing the tip) are genetic, the result of a mutation. And it's dominant which gives most of them a short kinked tail that looks like it was cut off or got caught in a door. Except they weren't. That's how they're born, and they're perfectly healthy. Unlike a similar bobtail gene among Manx cats, it does not cause any other health disorders.
The fact that the kinked tails also vary in length and shape makes it even more like their tails were damaged deliberately. It even hilariously results in some tourists thinking that there was some sort of serial cat tail mauler in Southeast Asian countries that they visit.
Oh it's so fun to learn this about Melody. I love how healthy she looks now. I never would have guessed that she is a special breed. And we got to see her being held by Atta Elsie, so it's clear she gets a bunch of affection. Sad about the kittens.
It's like the "Hungry Syrian Wanderer's" 2 cats. It doesn't look attractive since the cats' tails in the Philippines don't look like a bobtail. It looks like tails that were cut in half.

The very short-tailed individuals (less than 3 inches) displayed in cat shows are simply the pedigree version. Their mutation remains the same throughout due to breeders crossing bobtails only with bobtails. It also includes specific colorations preferred by humans, like the "mi-ke" (mostly white calicoes).
Natural Japanese bobtails have a variety of weird tail shapes, all of it the result of a genetic mutation that causes abnormal (but not harmful) development of the vertebrae.
A lot of cats here in the Ph are like that, some with crooked-looking tail, that you almost think it got fractured before. Many also have very short tail that is blunt at the tip that you would think that it got cut off.😂
@@Ace-zw1db A lot of tourists (and even locals) who don't realize how widespread this trait is actually think it got cut off. Which is sometimes frustrating. They think the cats got mistreated by locals.

I absolutely love the dried floral wreaths! In the US stores will import them and charge a kings ransom for something they bought for a few pennies from markets such as this. I love seeing RJ in his element of shopping for your home. It truly is a lovely sight to behold and then to be able to attend a “Friendsgiving” with great friends (or I like to call the ones in my life, “family of my heart”) is the equivalent of eating luscious whipped cream on top of a chocolate soufflé.

Hmmm.. I was thinking ya’ll would have a bit more sophisticated latch system on your aviary. Is there any concern to have a locked door so no one could get in and mess with them (or am I just too paranoid)?
Yea… I think ya’ll should get a heater for the pool… for as much as you spent on having this, I think ya’ll should be able to love it all year around.
I definitely notice the new video quality. Especially how smooth movement is at 60FPS and, the HQ is really in improvement. If Apple was watching, I think they’d send you an iPhone ProMax to use for comparison…. ;).

Dapitan Arcade!!! OMG!!! I could spend all day there!! Holy Cow!! It’s funny to see the snow and ice items in the heat of Manilla, LOL. I could get into SO much trouble there. (Even now, when I run into Drift Wood when I’m out walking, I think of you). I would buy some of those apples… three or five of those would be beautiful at the center of the table. Argh!! I’m ready to shop!!!

I know that corner store in Dapitan Arcade where they sell dried decor. I bought some dried flower seeds that they made into christmas balls a few years ago. Honestly, most of my decor at home I bought from Dapitan 😍

Looking at those different Christmas Decors reminds me of a daily Christmas Project that we had to submit before the start of Christmas Vacation during elementary school where we create a handmade Parol using a metal hoop, colored plastics, and a smaller star parol to attach to the center of the metal hoop.
Also, those small carousels and different electronic moving decorations can be used together to create a large Christmas Diorama.
Melody's shortened tail is pretty much due to genetics, especially if they have the Bobtail Gene as mentioned by one of the other commenters. I once had an outdoor cat that had a tail that is only 2 inches long and was born with it.
And I must say, I reckon some birds might end up using those outdoor lanterns as framework to their nests, nevermind that there's an LED light inside it. I've seen Philippine Pied Fantails do that with one of our outdoor lanterns before and they managed to produce 2 offspring that successfully fledged.
The new camera is a major upgrade! The colors really jump out at you!

I think Canada has the European Thanksgiving, it was between 6 and 9th October, guessing from the British and French that also using that date, but they do not celebrate that big. So after i checked Wiki´s and some History stuff, for Canada reasons seem the same like the in USA. So after all, what is the story behind Thanksgiving? Fact's and History say; Thanksgiving Day, annual national holiday in the United States and Canada celebrating the harvest and other blessings of the past year. Americans generally believe that their Thanksgiving is modeled on a 1621 harvest feast shared by the English colonists (Pilgrims) of Plymouth and the Wampanoag people(Native Tribe). But now it comes; In the middle of the American Civil War, President Abraham Lincoln, prompted by a series of editorials written by Sarah Josepha Hale, proclaimed a national Thanksgiving Day, to be celebrated on the 26th, the final Thursday of November 1863.
