Lesson too late for me and I don't know if it would have changed anything because when I was working, I barely took vacation and would sometimes lose leave at the end of the year. I just could not phantom me paying out thousands of dollars and not have something in my possession of value to show for it. I just enjoyed other people trips thru stories, pictures or souvenirs. Being retired, I officially understand it now.

Investing in quality pieces that take you to every destination and stages of your life has kept me from having this problem. My friend who only buys trendy pieces find herself having to shop yearly for Vaca. Girl u spending more money than me in the long run 😊. Amen sister. Preach. Shop with intention and update/upgrade as needed every season 🎉.
