Great video! I picked one up last night and I love it. It’s incredible.
It's a really good video. Try to upload in 1080p or 4K. P.S: I love your watch photos on Instagram!
Thanks Syed. I thought I had filmed in 4K. Rookie error. I'll be sure to next time and I'm glad to hear you enjoy the Instagram photos too.
Hi Dan I really enjoyed watching your video and look forward to seeing the next one.
Great video, Dan. See back over on WUS!
Sorry Ade. I didn't realise it was you mate! I'm glad you liked the video and yes I'll see you back on WUS!
It really is a cool watch with it's all brushed finish and I absolutely love that mesh bracelet, it's a stunner!
Thanks Davi. It's a super watch.Have you tried one out in the metal?
@@TheSurreyWatchGuy No, I have not, I've watched reviews and seen many pictures, knowing the quality of Omega's offerings I'm sure it's an impressive watch, I'd really like to see and handle on in person, this Seamaster paired with that beautiful mesh bracelet really sets it apart and makes it so unique, I hope you enjoy it, it's a great looking watch.
Great video Dan, one day I will own a great watch!
Thanks Mate!! Indeed you will and hopefully I will help with the deciding and buying process too.
Well done. Great vid and great watch! P.S Love the nato’s.
Thanks so much! It's a really special watch and it loves a NATO. The mesh hasn't had a look in for a few weeks now!
Found your channel through your recent post on WUSOF - well done!
I like the overall design of this watch, I just find the shade of the faux patina is just a little bit too dark for me. The watch looks almost too muted to me. I love that Omega went with a no-date dial layout, we need more no-date watches in the world.
Thanks Mike! It's a very understated watch.Have you seen it in person? It really does look different. I agree. No date watches for the win!
I got the NATO for Father’s Day thanks for saying the buckle was separate cause when my daughter said that the buckle cost extra I thought maybe the sales person had taken advantage of her. Now I know Omega took advantage of her, lol. I love the Omega NATOs they are super durable.
Great 👍🏻 video, brilliant watch. I must say though I prefer the ceramic dial and bezel of the regular seamasters
Thanks Marc! Thats what I like about the world of watches. We all like things which are different. No wrong answer.
Bought it a few days ago. Was with the wife at the AD and they by chance had one. Tried it on and MY WIFE said to buy it. She doesn't care about my Panerai watches but she loved this one. Got it and love it.
Great fit! Just wish the Milanese bracelet weren’t so bulky at the clasp, but that’s the nature of the material chosen, isn’t it. The nato looks even more broad and bunched up at the sides, so perhaps a single pass, after market khaki nato or bespoke leather strap is the answer. Now that you’ve had the watch awhile, how do you find the Milanese strap beneath the clasp?
Amazing watch. Great video. ALC.
It's probably my favourite watch that I've owned. Very unique looking.
Great watch great 👍🏻 video. Wish they put a ceramic bezel on it 😊👍🏻
Would this work with a black suit and darker colors in general? I'm searching for a watch I can wear with anything and on any occasion..
Just purchased mine two days ago and it's absolutely stunning. Got both straps Nato and Titanium.
Huge congrats! Nice to have both strap options too. Enjoy in great health.
If you don't mind me asking how were you able to get both straps? Looking at the Omega Boutique I can't see them selling them individually.
The Boutique had the watch with Nato strap and they also had the Titanium strap for sale.
@@charlesca5763 You can order the mesh bracelet or the NATO from an Omega boutique. UK price for bracelet I'm not sure, but the NATO is £260 for the strap with another £90 for the titanium hardware.
Follow you on Insta for a while now, I didn't know you had a YT channel!
I can’t quite put my finger on what Omega have done with this watch. It’s just right.
Does the bracelet adjust to 6" wrist circumference?
I wear it with 2 holes left and my wrist is 6.5 inches, however Omega do different size bracelets so best order the smallest size for the best possible fit.
Had to choose a Bond watch and went for the OHMSS 50th anniversary edition. This one is lovely but felt it was overpriced, given the OHMSS came with an additional steel bracelet, was much less expensive and is a Ltd edition. Previous Bond watches were far less expensive and were limited releases. Don't understand why Omega have done this to their customers. That being said, I'd have this one too if I could afford it!
Amazing piece! Not sure to get this or the black bay 58. Hard choice!
Thats funny that you've said that. I'm considering adding the Black Bay 58. A huge difference in the cost, but the designs are vintage inspired and both beautiful. Wrist size could be a deciding factor?
@@TheSurreyWatchGuy exactly! my wrist size is only 6.5 inches. Will try which fits best.
amaizin watch! and beautiful... but just a little expensive for me now. excellent chanel.
Great review. I enjoyed it.. I’m curious as to how it stacks up against the Rolex Submariner 14060M, in your opinion.
Thanks Buddy. Funnily enough I owned the 14060m and sold it a few weeks after getting this watch. If I still owned it I would've done a comparison video for sure. The Sub is well a Sub. Great watch, but far too ubiquitous and a little safe IMHO. The Bond just ticks the boxes. If I can borrow a Sub I'll do that video.
Beautiful watch! Question for you - I'm starting to form a higher end watch collection and was considering a BB58, Speed Master, JLC Reverso, and maybe a Hamilton Field watch. And then I saw this Seamaster...so beautiful! I could get get a Speedy and a BB58 for the same price. Do you think it's worth the price bump? Or is it just a personal preference. Thanks!
Thanks JS. It's a very personal thing. If you have the heart set on the BB58 and a Speedmaster then nothing should sway that. By all means check out this watch. It's even nicer in the metal, but the titanium might not feel good on your wrist. People associate quality with weight, this watch is light, but super strong. I think it's worth the premium as it's different to all the other SMP's in the range. Many naysayers think it needs a ceramic bezel and sapphire caseback to justify the price, but those features wouldn't suit the watch. Good luck in your decision. There is no wrong answer.
@@TheSurreyWatchGuy Thank you for getting back to me :) I was able to see it in person last weekend and it was even more beautiful than the photos. This may be a decision I have to sit on for a while...Kind wishes, J
@@Mohammed-ql8hf I'll get it down the road, but have to hit pause due to wedding planning :) Right now I have a Casio A1000MA-7VT and like the vintage mesh bracelet and a Timex x Todd Snyder Maritime Dive watch (black). They both have nice vintage looks and avoid a $9000 argument with my fiancé during wedding planning season haha
Bought mine today. NATO strap. LOVE it. Not a fan of the mesh
Would love to hear how this watch is a year or two on… I’m still interested in getting it, but weighing up getting a new ref Rolex explorer 2, the 42mm black dial…. any suggestions
It’s long since moved on. The mesh fit and HE valve grew to irk me. Cool watch though.
@@TheSurreyWatchGuy appreciate the update. I ended up buying a decent 2230.50. still considering the mesh bracelet. But will likely also end up getting the explorer 2 and eventually. When you get the itch, it’ll eventually need scratching…
My mate purchsed one £9k.. I just purchased a year old used one for £5.500. That’s crazy depreciation in such a short period of time.
I ended up getting a 2230.50, and purchased the mesh strap. It was a great price and has a good cult heritage.
Great job, Dan!! An impressive watch, and an impressive review to go along with it. I'm looking forward to more great content. Best of luck with the channel!! Subscriber #12.
Cheers René! Yep there will be more content and thanks so much for subscribing.
Should have solid spring bars if it were true to the military origins
Omega or probably no watch brand would do that as it limits the strap choices to NATO only, but yep true Mil spec watches have welded springbars.
The best bond watch
“I’m going to put in on my wrist....” arrrgghhhhh a rain forest, no disrespect...
Haha. Non taken. Maybe a gratuitous shaven arm shot would be in order?
It's a beautiful watch. Shocked the bezel isn't ceramic though... Personally think that's unacceptable at this price point. I also think it's not worth double the standard seamaster. But on looks alone and with that strap it's gorgeous
I understand that people think it needs have a ceramic bezel at that price point, but it was clearly done for aesthetics. Luxury watches are difficult to put value on due to being emotional purchases where rationale is seldom used. The standard Seamaster is a cracker and I would own one if the NTTD didn't exist.
It's titanium. I had both the 2018 300m and this 007 version on, and this 007 blows the 2018 out of the water, it's on a different level.
Thousands more than regular Seamaster though...and less features like date or sapphire back etc...
Some people don't want a sapphire caseback or a date. Less is often more. No wrong answer though.
@@TheSurreyWatchGuy yeah I kind of agree but keep changing my mind. I loved it then tried it on and wasn’t so sure. I love the look but wish it was a little heavier or bigger, had a better presentation box and maybe a date would be good. It’s a great watch but I feel there is a huge premium for the bond association. If this was the same as a regular Seamaster then it would be an absolute big yes for a lot of people but the premium puts so many people off.
@@MrNegroni I guess it depends on what you want from a watch. The fact it's lighter, thinner, matte dial and bezel and made of titanium is why I wanted one. You can't wear the box and having a date wouldn't suit the look Omega were going for. The Bond connection costs Omega so naturally thats passed onto the buyer. Thankfully Omega make a watch suitable for everyone 😃
Does anyone else prefer the spectre omega???
I'm sure some people do. I owned the Spectre LE, but sold it on as it wore too thick on the NATO and I hated the bracelet.
I owned it too but then sold it for that very reason. It’s the one watch I regret selling though
@@yasarmo Don't buy it again. You'll end up flipping it again for the very same reason as the last time haha.
You’re most likely right on that!!! Out of curiosity how does the mo time to die omega sit against the spectre? I’ve looked for comparison pics but not found anything.
It is a nice watch but not i feel the best Omega ever, my main issue is the hype and price mark up for this none limited edition watch, a nice watch but no way is it worth the price the gray market is asking
i said it was the best Bond Omega ;-) I agree it is a lot of money, but justification is a personal thing.
The clasp+bracelet area is way too thick not comfortable at all.
It is thick, but I know several owners who've had no issues. Purely down to wrist size and shape. It fitted me fine until my wrist size went down by a few mm's and then I couldn't get a good fit. Hence moving it on.
I will say, it’s more comfortable than the new Rolex submariner clasp which is longer, ticker and wider …
The Spectre and Goldeneye ones are better.
What not even in HD
It was my first video and didn't even notice until I had finished recording and editing.
The best Bond watch ever... would still be the Rolex Submariner without crown guards in Dr. No!
Thats the pedestrian answer which many say, but the romantic side of me being a Bond fan agrees with you :-)
Over priced. Considering a year old used one you can get for £5-£6k . Lovely watch but that’s too much money to throw away
This bracelet should not come with a deployment clasp. This is a flaw. It should come with a buckle and keeper set up.
Too expensive for a seamaster no date with aluminium bezel
Subjective, but fair enough. Luxury watches are intensely personal as is their value proposition. Having a date and ceramic bezel would make it look like the regular SMP which would be pointless and not meeting the design brief.
Hey Dan! Great work mate. Keep ‘em coming 👍🏼
Cheers Chris! Will do fella.
