It took a whole week for Twilight Princess to go from "some really great dungeons in the second half" to "absolutely terrible, no 3D Zeldas had good dungeons except OoT and Skyward Sword".
@@GigaBoots You guys have a way of talking about things sometimes. The Astral Chain review still sticks out in my mind, where the game got 6's and 7's at the end of two hours that felt like nothing but criticism.
@@GigaBoots if you listen to yourself talk about the game you don't say anything particularly positive. Long tone setting intro you hate, bad dungeons, game is too long, hate horseback combat, Wolf Link doesn't get more moves, and bad late game filler. This isn't even a criticism, I'm just confused if you are claiming you really enjoyed it.
Most people forget that OG Skyward Sword loses calibration so often compared to HD, you also needed the sensor bar rather than relying on gyro for most of its stuff
The Gigaboots Skyward Sword playthrough has left me with more respect for the game, but it also reinforced that I don't want to actually *touch* it. My experience with the Wii original's motion controls was deeply negative, and I will fight anyone who says that Skyward Sword's motion tracking is as good as Wii Sports Resort or Nintendo Land.

I can jive with Persona 3's gameplay and enjoy it for what it is as a cheap, experimental Dating Sim + Dungeon Crawler RPG, but its nature of being pretty bare bones shows when you compare it to even Persona 4. The only way to raise your Social Stats is through grinding away at activities (like Tokimeki Memorial, a game from 1994), all your Social Links only give you exp boosts for your fusions, and other than the Full Moon Shadow segments, the RPG parts are just a very simple dungeon crawler. I believe the battle system is meant to feel grounded with you only having so much control over what other people do and them being able to get tired after awhile, but at the same time, I don't think it's so complex or essential that it can't be changed. I'd love to see that system expanded upon to still have that feeling and not like just a reskin of P5, but I wouldn't be mad if they made it into something that meshed well with the rest of the fleshed out game.
