- A wonderful combination: a subtle singer (Ms. Kilgore), a wonderful songwriter (Mr. Warren), and a great band: John Sheridan, piano; John Von Ohlen, drums; Jon Burr, string bass. Recorded on Sept. 17, 2011, at Jazz at Chautauqua by Michael Steinman for JAZZ LIVES (www.jazzlives.w...)
Why far the best female vocalist I have ever heard. Simply wonderful.
And a real shame she is not very well known.
Whew... This woman is SUFFUSED with SOUL. Every note, rhythm, and nuance is sublime. Gorgeous, subtly erotic, wistfully expressive. Love her!
Hard to believe the tepid applause for such a fine performance. Ms Kilgore is no kid but she still has a beautiful YOUNG voice.
Casting pearls before swine.
Sorry to express myself that way, but I do not unterstand this audience.
The way she sings this song is beyond beautiful, her voice is so smooth, she literally glides through the notes.
But that is how it is, when you dont look like a UA-cam influencer, sad but very true.
Velvet, and the smoothness of Satin, sliding nuances.
EXACTLY the way it should be done!
That entrance she sings is just amazing. It's like listening to velvet....if velvet had a sound!
I've always described Becky's voice as liquid velvet.
Música linda e voz linda. Adorei
Rebecca's recording of "Oh You Crazy Moon" Vanheusen/Cahn is a 'Tasty Kick!
My goodness, this is magical
love this tune & how they do it.
Very nice vocal!
Very good...
REBECCA, thanks a lot! I accidentally found on UA-cam your interpretation of “Serenade In Blue” and I remembered something similar in my long past history ... Will this not happen again? But most importantly, I had one unsolved old technical problem, which sometimes returned without success, and after your musical notes the problem turned out to be very successfully solved ...). We wish you more musical performances, thank you ...).
It's all beautiful. Do they still play? The sound quality is practically unendurable!
To reply to your question: John Sheridan, piano, is still active in San Antonio, Texas; John von Ohlen, drums, is dead; Jon Burr lives outside of New York City; Rebecca is very active in Portland, Oregon. But "unendurable"? The person who maintains this channel and who traveled to these places and who shot the videos that you complain so bitterly about is ready to block any future comments from you, Mr. Weiner. Do consider this. Thank you.
@@swingyoucats Oh my. So sorry!
Welcome back. Music in imperfect circumstances is better than silence, so please continue to enjoy the former.
What a voice! What a song! So beautiful! I could go on listening in the dark.
