People who "invested" in boxes and are panicking after typical market movement within a VERY SHORT PERIOD of time should just avoid investing in shiny cardboard. Season collectors and investors know it takes a minimum of holding for 5 years and at least 10 years for these types of assets to really appreciate in value.
@@RayQ101OP may be popoular but it's not a proven brand. It deals with a niche market and it's success is most liekly a combination of certain factors like the boom of the show on netflix. I would be weary of OP as the same thing happened with Digimon until Bandai decided digimon is no longer a cash cow. The other issue with OP is it's owned by Bandai which can literally keep making new games and cashing in on their franchises and popularity and cycling them until their tan out of franchises lol. I'm glad OP is booming but I'm not confident in OP since Bandai owns it.
@@RayQ101ok, this is a bad take. OP tcg may be more popular atm, but are you really bringing Disney's popularity against an anime that is barely more known because of a live action adaptation? Lorcana has the potential to surpass any tcg, especially OP. Now, if they really reprint to the point every card has no value, the game dies. And they dont want that, I imagine.
@@palkys. OP is the most popular manga in the world. Not only that, it is the longest running anime. So yes, it’s extremely popular ESPECIALLY with TCG collectors. Disney freaks aren’t into TCGs whatsoever.
As a person who decided to buy some cards to actually play the game with friends I couldn't be happier to see the price of boxes crash. It's a great time to get into the game itself if you plan to play. I guess pour one out for the scalpers and "collectors" who bout sealed boxes just to sell.
Ravensburger literally said they will keep reprinting starting 2024 quote: “get as much product into the hands of fans as possible.” If you're a collector, this is when you want to jump ship.
Again with this argument that noone really knows what it means. If we take it literally, they are telling us they are actively killing the game eventually. It's a trading card game, it's supposed to be difficult to get cards. You cant change the formula just because of scalpers. Too much supply > no demand > no interest > no collectors > no value > no game.
@@palkys.Disney is not only exactly saying just that, they are doing it, the reprint is exactle the same as the first print, and if they say they will keep reprinting, I believe them ...
Im not sure these boxes will ever be worth more than the all time high. Mostly because at the end of the day, if there is demand, Ravensburger already said they would reprint. Sure if your collecting sealed boxes I can see value there but if just collecting cards. No one is going to be able to tell if the card is from the 1st print or 26th run.
If you collect sealed boosters you will be able to know 1st print has just the tab pull, 2nt print has the waifer stickers, and as they are saying the 3print will have waiver stickers and factory sealed with plastic. I totally agree the cards will drop but I think these boosters would be OK and some of the collectors boxes and diseny 100 and the troves.
@@ChrisBcards There is a year on the booster packs, first print 2023, second print 2024, but the market will crash anyway, because the singles will go down with every reprint.
Investing in any collectible is based on the "Greater Fools Theory", which basically states you are dependant on a bigger fool than you to make money on collectibles investments.
You are spot on. I saw this so much when I first started investing in the stock market. People buy into a stock and are so excited when they see the price going up, but then we go through a market downturn and those same people freak out and sell all of their stock for a loss because they don't have an investors mindset.
the first print run of boxes will never go up in value due to no seals on the boxes and the stickers they use now will dry up and fall off. They really need better security on the boxes before people will invest with confidence.
That is not the reason, the reason is they did a reprint, but did not differentiate between the first and second print, and they promised to keep reprinting so there will be enough to go around and then some.
I bought 2 boxes to hold onto for 10~20 years. See you then. I paid 150 each when it came out. I'd be shocked if it lost value over time... it's Disney
wow, then I'm getting in at the right time. I didn't buy at $200 but I'm gonna buy more at $150. and I do plan on buying a bunch and keeping them long term.
If I didn't sell cover calls... I would of profited $31.6k+ (at the time of this comment)... But... life happens. I am still green, but it was better than being red $56k+ in October. I rather take my $1 profit LOL...
The game is going to keep crashing, because they will keep reprinting the sets while not differentiating between print runs, so it does not matter if you buy it now, because I expect them to reprint every year, so people will be able to buy the same cards from the initial release in 10 years from reprint number 10.
eh, still a bit too expensive for me.. with how 'meh' the boxes/seals are, not to mention the super cold hard-to-see holofoils.. 🤷♂ Not gonna lie this TCG overall was a bit of a disappointment, especially from THE Titan.. aka Disney.. I expected crazy new holo techniques, fancy holofoil tamper-proof boxes etc. etc.. Seems like they made as minimal investment as possible into their TCG.. *Sigh* Guess I shoulda known better what era of Disney I'm currently livin in.. 😬 🃏
I feel like it's not that great of a tcg, yea it's Disney but people overhype things way to much now. I opened some packs and was not impressed I don't like the layout.

That’s a horrible investment for a risky gamble, it’d be smarter to do it with Pokemon or One Piece. OP is now literally 10x as popular as Lorcana.

Honestly buying these for investment is just a joke. You can’t expect to become rich off of every single collectible item that drops.
I don't think he knows...

Screw Scalpers that’s all I’m gonna say. 😂😂😂😂😂
Man is this guy on ecstasy or something like the amount of rubbing on his face and hair was making me uncomfortable.......
Why are u touching your hair so many times? It distracts me a lot when watching the vid 😅
You'll understand when you have long hair
Disney Lorcana Still has not released here but am interested to see what the hype is about once it does and interesting info to learn from this video

The difference is Lorcana will keep reprinting, it is like having a stock split every year, or like the USD for that matter :p
the first print run of boxes will never go up in value due to no seals on the boxes and the stickers they use now will dry up and fall off. They really need better security on the boxes before people will invest with confidence.
how do you explain resellers being able to get $400+ when they released then?
That is not the reason, the reason is they did a reprint, but did not differentiate between the first and second print, and they promised to keep reprinting so there will be enough to go around and then some.
No wonder so many ppl moved to One Piece “collecting” - they can’t get their moneys worth with Lorcana anymore
I bought 2 boxes to hold onto for 10~20 years.
See you then.
I paid 150 each when it came out. I'd be shocked if it lost value over time... it's Disney
Yup. I got 3 boxes for around retail. 1 to open, 2 to forget about. I highly doubt it’ll crash less than retail price
If they reprint every year like they are doing now, you will keep the nominal value, but you will loose purchasing power.
wow, then I'm getting in at the right time. I didn't buy at $200 but I'm gonna buy more at $150. and I do plan on buying a bunch and keeping them long term.
“Hey guys Trust me that this game I’ve heavily invested in is probably fine. Trust me I’ve been selling cards for a few years!”
Yep that’s convincing
People going chicken little on the game is the funniest thing I've seen in awhile.

Australia, New Zealand and some of Asia will not see the 1st set until March 2024, maybe later. So there will be a lot more in the market.
Customs in Australia turns back all Lorcana sealed product that people try to import.

🃏
THey better print like crazy, because this will be just a cash grab for Ravensburg...and a flop
Should I continue to wait, or should I buy now?
This is the 3rd printing here and it looks gone.
Dude please stop playing with your hair on camera
I feel like it's not that great of a tcg, yea it's Disney but people overhype things way to much now. I opened some packs and was not impressed I don't like the layout.
The reprints have tape on them though
For the first chapter booster boxes
it will dry up and fall off
Lol. This guy. 😂😂😂😂😂😂
oh my goodness you touch your hair alot
I know in your early videos you were MORE than clear to wait on buying boosters if for investment purposes. Well done
