What an inspiring story, especially in this digital age of instant gratification and when many people can't read - let alone write - cursive script, not to mention read the face of an analog clock! It sort of reminds me a small hotel I stayed at in China several years ago, where one of the rooms had a notebook, and guests were invited to write or draw their random thoughts. The manager said some guests would request to stay in that room on subsequent visits to read what had been written since their last visit. There were poems, there were drawings, there just simple comments about what they had done or how the weather was a charming idea, and I think that this mailbox at an isolated beach was a charming idea, too!
