I love Romanians, Romania and relation between Romania and Romanians out of romanian borders. Romania really cares about Romanians in Banat and Timoc region. Some "vlachs" are so blind and they can not see how Daco-Romanians, Megleno-Romanians, Aromanians and Istriotic Romanians are similar. If somebody learn any of languageses of these peoples, that person can understand and other Romanian nations. Sa traiasca Romania!
Anyway, Romania as name is wrong. Who ever had the idea to name it like this had no respect for the ancestors and the culture. It was know through time as Dacia/Geto-Dacia. And so should have been remained. Is a shame to name a country after those thieves who conquered other people to steal their resources... "historians" should do their homework better
@IngolfArnesen .There are vlachs in Greece that live in Greece, they have the Greek passport ,they speak the vlach dialect.Over 100.000 of them. The Greeks love to dance their dances and know their hystory.
Romanians (North of Danube) = Romanians are mainly descended from the Daco-Romans, a people developing through the cohabitation of the native Dacians and the Roman colonists in the province of Dacia Traiana (primarily in present-day Romania) north of the river Danube. Vlachs (south of Danube) = Vlach peoples from the south Balkans have generally been identified as the indigenous populations with Thracian & Illyrian (Thraco-Illyrian) and Greco-Roman (Hellenic) and true Roman empire origins.
We have ancient words from Ireland to India and i suppose the indo-europeans left from this area and spread around the world. râma [râman hvâstra] 13 () peace (lit.), Yazad(purity) of the atmosphere (k447); peace, possessing good pasture (HZI) see hvâstra ... râmanasca 9 () ... râmanô 13 () In romanian we have "Românească and Rumânească" and many other words. The word "a rămâne" means - to remain here, to stay. So the son of Noah stayed here in Carpathian mountains where he had good pastures, romanians and their ancestor dacians were dedicated shepherds. Romanians south of Danube are called aromanians. "armâni". Now : hvâstrahe [râman hvâstra]23 (mG) Ram, Yazad of the atmosphere; peace possessing good pasture (HZI); [hvâstra] = pasture ... hvâstrem (pasture inseamna pasune unde pasti oile) 15 (A) hvâthrem [hvâthra] (fericire,comfort,binecuvantare,....) 5 (NA) n. happiness (Kr), comfort (Hum), ease (Bailey), blessedness (Boyce TS), felicity (mai), luster, splendor, glory (k143) We have words that we find in celtic languages and romanian language + aromanian language. Razboi, rafuiala = Rhyfel(in celtic) means War Codru = Coedwigg + other forms means Forest Batran = Oed(Oedipus tells you anything?) means Elder(man) Cioban/Oier = Cobainn, Aoire means Sheperd Ceata = Ceo, Cwa means Fog There are so many, it would take a lot of time to uncover them.
Quel rumeno che ama l'italiano da morire you are just a little bit stupid. For that we have from Procopius the words, coebanum caseum. Where were turks at that time. Somewhere in Nordic Middle Asia
@@esocida Plinius wrote about ”coebanum caseum”. Translated by some Romanians as ”caș ciobănesc” (shepherd cheese). If such a translation is correct, the etimology of Romanian ”cioban” might be also latin (coebanum). Personally, I incline towards turkic origins. Not necessarily Turkish, but Bulgars, Pechenegs, Cumans crossed Romania (7th .. 13th centuries) and were also Turkic.
The term Valah was designated to Romanians before 1859. The name Valah was given by other nations in the Middle Ages to Romanians on the left and right of the Danube and in Balkans, north of Greece, Croatia, Serbia, Albania, FYROM/ Macedonia
The Vlachs have been called "perfect Balkan citizens" because they are "able to maintain their culture without resorting to war or politics, violence or dishonesty." Te iubesc, ROMÂNIA! 💙💛❤
The Armãnh have been anything but peaceful. 🤣🤣 They have been brave wariors but for the wrong people. Violence? Plenty of Aromanian history is violent... brother stabbing brother. Only because they lived on disconnected villages on the mountains and communication was hard plus Greek Orthodox Church had all the power and knowledge... Armãnj had practically no allies, even Albanians had the Ottomans. Greek crazy priests just want them to mix up in the melting assimilatory pot of "Greeks". Yes they had a really hard life. Transporting them selves on foot and with horses that carried things up the mountain for the summer and down the mountain for the winter, in flat land where they could survive. They lived in temporary huts, the houses were in the vilagges. The main job was agriculture, my granddad was a cheesemaker with sheep and goats (I still remember the goat) and my my aunties settled in the flat land and made farms, married to other vlachs. Women were preoccupied with knitting jumpers, croches and weaning, when they weren't digging in the fields. Desi nu-i vad bine deloc pe istroromani.

Vlachs are remnants of indigenous local latinised people. They speak and eastern romance language hence the linguistic similarities with romanian, but they are not Romanians in ethnicity and origins
Good, we are making progres: So the version of Vlach/Romanian you have in your country is not a Greek idiom but a latinised language. And the speakers must be remenants of indigenous local people, so more people not only Greeks. Well, Greeks did not latinise as it was not an inferior language to choose a better Latin one. Actually Roman citizens studied Greek and considered it a language of culture, later on they even made it a language of the Eastern Roman Empire. So basically yes, remenants of indigenous local people (barbaric tribes) that lived off the highgrounds mostly semi-nomadic breeders ( and not sea-fearing like Greeks) which lost their old Thracian, Illyrian, Dacian,... languages for the Latin language which evolved into the Romanian family of dialects. That's ethnicity and common origin. Which explains why today Vlachs in Albania or Greece only need 3 months to master modern Romanian in their first year of scholarship in Romania.
I am not going to debate origins and race right now,but the fact that these people learn romanian quickly doesnt necesarily mean that they have romanian/dacian origins.Romanians can easily learn Italian too and generally speaking west-romance languages. It is because of the common linguistic past as parts of the eastern romance languages, affected by almost the same languages in the course of time(slavic, turkic and so on).Eastern Romance speaking people live all over the Balkans but they are not Romanians in the modern sense of the term, meaning that they didnt immigrate from Romania/Dacia....what i want to say is that linguistic affiliation doesn't lead to conclusions about race origins. The Vlachs of Greece dwell along the ancient Egnatia Route and are scattered around it and were ,practising the profession of the mountain path keepers, in the context of the Roman World. They were locals that probably after their 25 year-old service in the Roman Army that became familiar with the Latin language and living considerably away from the greek cultural centres of the south or the coasts, were much easily affected by latinization in comparison to the greeks of the south.Τhey live southern the Jirecek line and that tells us a lot about the ancient past of the region. Epirus (the place where the majority of them lives still today) is considered the core of the Proto-Greeks before their decent more south.
Romanian does not mean somebody immigrating from Romania in its political borders, it means Romanian ethnicity, heir of the Romanus term speaking the language and having cultural ties. All of the Balkans are mixed with ethicities. Roman Southern Dacia had the capital in Serdica- Sofia, close to the modern border of Greece. Epirus is too North for ancient Greece but it doesn't matter. The fact that Vlachs and Greeks are much too different in almost everything besides religion and some habbits from living together refutes any big ancient Greek input into the wake of this Southern Romanian people.
Evidence points to most Vlachs having been like Arvanitovlachs: , seminomads , even nomads. They raised sheep, moved around for pastures, and they went from the Tatra mountins to the Peloponese and Caucasus if they so desired. Their ancestors probably did the same and preffered to do sheep business instead of guarding one road.Check the map you see in the video, its not about your beloved but SMALL Greece. Don't let me talk about how Greek some of your Anatolian or Caucasus brethren you imported are.
No my friend Epirus too North from ancient Greece??You are completely wrong...Epirus was north in comparison to the city-states of southern Greece ie Athens,Sparta and so on. Epirus was inhabited by the indigenous Greek tribes of Molossians,Chaones,Thesprotoi that were politically organised in kingdoms and in the Epirotan commonwealth, speaking the Dorian-Greek dialect...let alone the greek colonies all along the Adriatic coast of modern day Albania. You are completely wrong about this matter.Vlachs all around Balkans are romanised locals, you said it yourself Romanus,Roman citizens you act like the only ones that got the roman citizenship were the latinised Dacians but you seem to forget that southern Balkans were first conquered by the Romans before their expansion up northern in Dacia and remained in our places for a much longer time that they did in you country. Vlachs are the remnants of that period and specifically in Greece the Vlachs had a hellenic national consciousness way before the establishment of the greek modern state in case you want to bring to the conversation anything about state propaganda or supression. In fact the financial aid of the Romanian state in the late 19th century did little if ANY progress among the Greek-Vlachs and only for survival reasons did some proclaim Romanian affiliation.Vlachs in the sense of latin-speaking populations, inhabit all around the Balkans, these people are neither Romanians nor Greeks but locals.Vlachs themselves know better from you and me what they are,the have their oral tradition the stories of their forefathers and in conclusion their actions throughout history have shown which side they sided by...they need no indoctrination from Bucharest or any other Romanian believe me.

calling aromanians just "some type of romanians" is a way to make people believe this music is native to Romania, furthering their culture. So its just assimilation bassicly
When we say Romanians, we do not mean the country but speakers of a romance language in Eastern Europe. We are aware that they did not immigrate from Romania but moved around with their sheep countless years ago. One example is the cheese since Vlachs cheese was the most sought cheese in the Balkans. The cheese came from those Vlachs sheperds but also from Valahia (Wallachia - southern Romania). Their movement can be traced back to Panonia (modern day Hungary).
Thats not true, Aromanians and Greeks are very similar in DNA, but DNA databases register that Greek-Aromanian DNA as just Greek. Take in account that Greeks aren't pure, they have had a lot of Thracian (as Aromanians) and Slav DNA

Tibor Bojanić Sa trãieşti si tu. Doamne ajutã!

In romanian we have "Românească and Rumânească" and many other words.
The word "a rămâne" means - to remain here, to stay. So the son of Noah
stayed here in Carpathian mountains where he had good pastures,
romanians and their ancestor dacians were dedicated shepherds.
Romanians south of Danube are called aromanians. "armâni".
Now :
hvâstrahe [râman hvâstra]23 (mG) Ram, Yazad of the atmosphere; peace possessing good

5 (NA) n. happiness (Kr), comfort (Hum), ease (Bailey), blessedness

We have words that we find in celtic languages and romanian language + aromanian language.
Razboi,rafuiala = Rhyfel(in celtic) means War
Codru = Coedwigg + other forms means Forest
Batran = Oed(Oedipus tells you anything?) means Elder(man)
Cioban/Oier = Cobainn, Aoire means Sheperd
Ceata = Ceo, Cwa means Fog
There are so many, it would take a lot of time to uncover them.
Boris Goralski Cioban comes from the Turkish Çoban. :)
They weren't mostly warriors btw but shepherds, craftsmen and traders who were clueless of the world.
From the moment they stepped foot on this cursed Eastern "Roman" Empire all things went bad for them. They had wars and killed Larisseans and Thessalians.
@@avruvimtu2204 I talked about Romanians in general. We are the descendants of the Dacians, who were Getae. The Aromanians (called in Romania also Romanians Macedonians, Macedo-Romanians, Macedonian-Vlachs or, more popularly, Macedonians are a branch of Eastern Latinity, along with Daco-Romanians, Megleno-Romanians and Istro-Romanians.
Vlach was a term used in the early Middle Ages as an exonym of Germanic origin (walh, later welsh) for all Romanesque peoples (and even some Celts: Wales), including the Romanesque populations of Eastern Europe and the Balkans, but in Nowadays, it is normally used (especially by the Greeks) only for Aromanians, the Romanians being called Vlachs or Wallachians only in historical context or as a vaguely derogatory term or if it is the Romanians from Timoc, who also speak the Daco-Romanian dialect and namely a language close to either that of Mehedinți or that of Banat (ROMANIA). Beautiful sound! Respect to people of the mountains!
Not a nice life, hard work, arranged marriages, entrapped ones sometimes, domestic violence was common. Its better now, Vlachs live like everyone else, that's in Greece. It just nice to visit the traditional villages, which are breathtaking.
@@C.I366 With no doubt, the (A)Romanian shepherds are the original and the most ancient cheesemakers in the whole carpatian-balcanic area since the begining of time but today, in a very unfair way, if not ridiculous, the entire world "knows" about the "Greek" feta cheese and "Greek" style yoghurt, etc. and from them, from the Romanian shepherds, the later venetics in the area - the Greek tribes, the Slavic tribes, the Bulgarians, etc. - eventualy learned the manufacturing process of, so known nowadays, "Greek" feta cheese.

To say ''the Vlachs were romanized'' is like to say ''the Albanians were Shqiptarized'', ''the Greeks were Hellenized'', ''the Teutons were Germanized'' or ''Polish were Slavicized'' which is a great stupidity. The term ''VLACH'' by itself means ''Romance'' (initially, in the form ''WALCH'', it meant ''foreign'', i.e. ''non-Germanic'', NOT ''outsider'' as it is purposely semantically confused sometimes. According to you, the Romanians and the Italians were romanized [Albanians :)], because the Polish, in their own language, call the Italians as ''sing. Włoch, plur. Włosi'' and, before the creation of Romania as a unitary state, called also the Romanians as''sing.
Desi nu-i vad bine deloc pe istroromani.

Si in limba se găsesc argumente in acest sens...cuvinte cu înțeles in limbile celto- engleze ( cimerienilor) se găsesc in zone in care romanii nu au pus piciorul deci proveniență latina nu tine
gjini kuneshti? vlah? coban?
Oh we remember it. The day justice was enacted upon the Hungarians for what they did to Romanians, Slovaks, Serbs and Ukrainians

Vlachs are remnants of indigenous local latinised people. They speak and eastern romance language hence the linguistic similarities with romanian, but they are not Romanians in ethnicity and origins
Good, we are making progres:
So the version of Vlach/Romanian you have in your country is not a Greek idiom but a latinised language.

I’m a Vlach from Epirus..DNA identifies me as 100% Greek...just like my father insisted
Thats not true, Aromanians and Greeks are very similar in DNA, but DNA databases register that Greek-Aromanian DNA as just Greek. Take in account that Greeks aren't pure, they have had a lot of Thracian (as Aromanians) and Slav DNA

Vlachs are not Romanians ,or Roumanians. They are originally Greeks ,ΑΡΩΜΑΝΙΑΝΣ.From ΡΩΜΗ,ROME, extended Roman empire to Constantinople. They speak Aromanian,a Latin based idioma ,not language, based on Greek. The fact that they trued to assimilate to Serbian,or Dacians,or Boulgarians,or Albanians, doesn't make them minorities of these ethnicities, they were there because of being part of the Roman, later Byzantine empire. The're ethnic Greeks.
Aromanians are romanised thracians not greeks
Românians are vlachs and romanians are not greeks
God bless all vlachians
@@romania1918 Thracians are Greeks, the dominant ethnicity in the region, before the Romans, boulgarians and Slavs came along to Immigrate.Latin, Aromanian (citizen of the Roman empire), Greek, ionian, pontian (from the pontos,Trapezounda)were all derived from ancient languages originated from the Greek peninsula.
