So inspiring to see such a big company like Muscle Mudd™ take on and sponsor people in the industry like Danny. Hoping to see more forward-thinking businesses follow suit 🙌
Saw this comment at this beginning of the video and thought “wow!! That’s so dope” I’m now @26:28 having the greatest laugh @29:40 okay this is genius lol
This series is one of the best content I've seen on youtube in years. So happy to see Gian Carlo working on this project. You two are one of my biggest inspirations.
I’ve always wondered why more people don’t make more BTS content like this. Set life is an experience in itself. Really loving this series. I started in indies so I really respect and admire the effort by all. Great stuff.
I can’t believe how funny the water bottle joke is, every single time without fail. You see it coming from a mile away but it lands perfectly every time. For real tho, this is more useful and inspiring than an actual degree in film. Thanks for this bro ❤️
Why TF is that Matty Hopija whatever his name is... ALWAAYS in peoples behind the scenes stuff? Like for real? The dudes a youtuber, clueless n anything filmmaker related, but yet hes always creeping around sets, creeping around sets or leeching on Peter Mckinnon. LITERALLY BAFFLES ME!! Channels like his should be banned so the youth. of today dont grow up following his basic and most of the time horrifically wrong advice.
This series is honestly inspiring! In the next few months I’m getting a Sony fx3 and I’m beginning to shoot short films and videos! Thank you for showing us this process!!
I think the coolest part of this episode is how much you can really see how comfortable Danny has become as a director. Like comparing him shooting the last scene of this video to the day 1 of shooting in the last video is day and night! I’ve always dreamed of being a director and this series makes me really excited for the idea of it! Looking forward to seeing the final product!
Wow I sensed this coming. When I was watching those setups and delays i was thinking “I bet you miss running your fx3 and two lights right about now” given the shots you were able to create with such minimal setups in the past. 100% the right move imo. PS shame to see the ole trusty FX3 relegated to a garbage bin 🤣 but hey it’s doing its b cam role with top marks
This is what I want to be doing every day. Honestly it's sometimes really scary to watch things like this and not be sure what I have to do to get to that point myself, but at the same time it's incredibly inspiring and makes me so happy to see everything come together! Thank you for putting in the effort to have this process documented so thoroughly, it's a really helpful look into the stuff that feels unattainable to a lot of people early in their careers.
my favorite episode thus far! you can see the chemistry in the crew increasing week by week, as these get more and more comedic! So excited to see the film when it comes out
Danny, this whole journey you have been on is genuinely one of the most inspiring things I have ever seen. I have loved seeing you step into your potential and make your dreams real. Thanks for just being you man
This is so dope. Can't wait to see the final movie. Especially since it is practically shot in my backyard. Would have been so cool to even get the chance to be an extra or PA on this. Just the opportunity to be on set would be so valuable. Insane!
I know it isn`t really practical.. but I would love it if productions like these set up a second camera (like always rigged next to the main camera) a digital mirrorles.. something like a sony fx3 or a lumix s5, and then shoot every scene with a camera like that as well.. just to see how well they would hold up against a cinema beast.. Just visually, it would be amazing to see..
39:47 I'm I the only one who noticed that the composition looks like a subtle way to point the mental illness in some Gen Z kids when looking at the Emergency letters? (That is my favorite thing to do when I look at some of my shots, trying to get some sense over anything that wasn't planned).
Love Carlos btw!! Been following his stuff on UA-cam but the damn algorithm didn’t show me his latest stuff! Had to become notification gang like I am here and come To find out I already was damn UA-cam! Haha
Weird to think that I only know you through the screen, yet I can't help but feel super proud of you Danny!! Can't wait to see the movie! Keep doing what you're doing💛
I wish I could have been a part of this project as a fellow Philadelphian Filmmaker. Great to see Matti come down and I just got turnt on to Carlos Channel. Shooting my first film next year. At 44 years old after over 25 years i9n Pro Wrestling and television production
Man I'm wishing you the greatest success Danny. Not just b/c you are a talented storyteller but b/c you are a good human (in all your videos). How you handled the team changes, the opportunity you gave Carlos, it's all very inspirational personally.
Ok am going to be Open Danny, This first part got me emotional and almost cry but well emotions kept getting better with time and the video went on, Great series am learning alot from them 🙏🙏 Let me go edit my UA-cam Video for the week
Hello! Thank you so much for sharing this! I am a beginner director and it is incredibly important for me to see from the inside how the filming process goes on for other guys on the sets. At the moment, I already have several completed projects, I have already worked in a team. But, nevertheless, most often the team is very tiny and I do most of the tasks myself, which reduces the quality of the finished film. I heard that in one part of the story about the shooting, it was mentioned that everyone in the team works for the idea, for free. Please tell me how you find (or how you found specifically for this project) a team. I will be very grateful to you for the information!
Recently subscribed to Carlo's channel and instantly came to realise why you said that he's been a DP for 30 years :) Also, can we not end the series with the 4th episode, please??
Things don’t always need to be pretty…I so needed to hear that because I be overthinking and be stuck on that shit. 😅 been filming a project for months and haven’t post shit.
i appreciate this video guys, rs.. people don't kno how hard it is to make a film and how much we all need each other (regardless ya role) to make it possible... i look forward to workin w/ yu guys 1 day... keep up the great work... really needed this video rn... #Thanks
The top of this episode had me so frustrated. I have no doubt in Danny's ability as a director and cinematographer but to see him not really push for how amazing he is in this part made me wanna shake him. He's so fucking talented its insane and I get that the double duty is a daunting task but if anyone is up for this and has prepared himself with countless projects that have inspired many of us on here its him. (haven't watched the whole thing yet, but I am rooting for him to be able to do whats best for this project and if it is getting another DP then thats great, however he is an amazing film maker and to see him behind the camera with this much support I'm sure he has this.) Plot twist! Lets go Carlo. See this is insane film making and just heartwarming/inspired.
this episode especially took me on a journey. i was inspired, then i was nervous, then sad, then laughed...and this is bts?? truly amazed at the entire crew, both of the production and the behind the scenes.
Love your Film Set Culture & Shooting Style. Only One Question, How much Total Shoot Days in your Film ? Because in India We usually rap the whole schedule in 40-45 shoot days with 12 hr. Shift time.
Danny I have been loving these BTS videos really makes me feel like I am on set with you guys! Is there still a way to get access or a ticket to the movie screening or premiere ??
now I've found an assignment for my crew, they'll have to see all the episodes of the behind the scenes and also the final movie and finally write a report with good recommendations, then we start another film that am currently writing.
I only just discovered your channel yesterday and I have learned so many great video methods and techniques. Thank you for your great content and positive energy.
I’ve always wondered why more people don’t make more BTS content like this. Set life is an experience in itself. Really loving this series. I started in indies so I really respect and admire the effort by all. Great stuff.
Out of all this I take away the beauty of forming these friendships and camaraderie that will most likely go beyond this project. The humour of drinking a bottle of water in 10 seconds being repeated every now and then, Muscle Mudd which should be in stores soon. This is an incredible production Danny. Thank you so much for sharing.
congrats on the film ! I must say this BTS series is by far the best I have seen on youtube and should be defined as BTS Masterclass. Every video leaves you wanting more, so well done and shot beautifully. Danny you are an inspiration to so many. I study filmmaking in my spare time and really was moved by this series. Thank you so much for being transparent and I am so looking forward to supporting your film when it becomes available to the public...
You can now watch "I Think I'm Sick" on itisfilm.com/watch - It is available for anyone anywhere in the world.
