This ED is absolutely fantastic. Honestly I still can't believe Helck got an anime adaptation. I hope more people will discover what an amazing "gag" anime it is.
Seriously didn't expect how deep this series' lore is until you get to adventure arc of the manga....The ending was great but I want more from this series
That feeling of wanting more shows how great it really was. But at the same time it's better to let it end at a good point than drag it on and on until it inevitably dies. Though admittedly I wouldn't mind an extra chapter or so with an afterwards, showing how things have progressed and how everyone is doing years later.
There's ways volundio. Manga by the same author, seems to be set in the same world, but hard to see where or when so far. But we just got a glimpse at the deeper lore in volundio. Looks like it'll be great.

I cant wait for this ED to hit me like a fucking emotional truck in later episodes. Helck still remains as one of the only pieces of fiction that made me cry. Hope the anime does the manga justice.
Then at the moment when this ED would match most they change it for Hikari which... Honestly pissed me off. We didn't NEED two EDs for this thing. This single 1 would have only grown more relevant as the series went on and is one which would have made so much more sense in hindsight on a second rewatch. It's not a bad song, it's just not as good as this one thematically.
Best visuals of all the openings and endings of the show. Knowing what Helck went through recontextualizes everythign about his character and the show. Vermilion/Valmirio/Anne reaching her hand to save her newfound friend hits really hard. No matter what life throws at Helck, he always stands up as the hero he is, that's why he won't ever be truly alone.
ED so fucking good all the foreshadowing towards later events and emotional song choice. Those that know recognize the real quality of the ED shit makes me tear up already

Also the Witch has her own bigger Piwi so it's basically confirmed to me that some sort of time travel is involved here. I just can't wait to see how this is explained later in the story. On a different topic I love Vamillio and Helck's dynamic. They give off married couple energy :)

She is the Older Sister of first Generation of Red Heavenly King (the Red Heavenly King right now is Vamilio). when Red Heavenly King give birth to new generation, she'll die bcs mother and dauther that bear the title of Red Heavenly King cannot exist at the same time. but that rule didnt work on the Great Witch. thus she is still alive until now and no, sadly, there is no "time travel" element in this manga plot. although, there is "samsara" element in this manga world. cmiiw **STOP SCROLL** if you dont want spoiler about Vamilio and Helck . . . . . . . . . . Vamilio and Helck didnt have romantic relationship until the end, but helck (imo) already hv a romantic relationship, just not with Vamilio.
And to be more precise, the flowers that appears a few frames earlier representing Vamirio is an Orange Calendula. The meaning behind this flower is associated with sympathy, grief, hope, and change. All the things Vamirio brings back to Helck. The moment she learns of Helck's story is when she understands his Grief, sympathizes with it, offering a new hope and change to Helck by saying she will help him to save the humans. It's a very spot on analogy for what she represents in Helck's life at that point. Who made this ending made a masterclass of an ending with both the music and visuals.

Yeah the comedy in this is really good but the story is pretty interesting too with some amazing character development
