- "This is the recording of my live set at the Mayan Warrior, Burning Man 2022.
Watching these images takes me right back to what might have been the most beautiful show I have ever played. What makes the Mayan Warrior so special is not only the production scale but the vibe of everyone involved. It’s a family and I’m happy to feel like I’m part of it. I think this reflects in the music being played on this art-car.
My set has been a journey for me personally and musically, and I hope you get a glimpse of what I felt when I played these songs."

Best thing here - no phones!!! Love seeing everybody have fun and vibe to the music with no care in the world, Monolink is incredible. Seeing him live is on the BUCKET LIST! 🤩
I was there... a few phones were around but not many. Mostly you are too hot and stuffy to bother filming anything. That's what makes BM so special... it forces you to live in the moment.

I am 63, wish I had gone when I was in my 30s. Now, I cannot take heat and wear medical grade contacts (my vision is too far gone for glasses) that wouldn't mix well with the fine alkali dust. Oh well.

We've all seen the famous 2018 Mayan Warrior set, but this new one is STUNNING! Clearly, both Mono and MW have leveled up since their first time out in the desert under darkening skies. This set features Mono's incredibly moving music paired perfectly with the Mayan Warrior's unbelievable light show, and it's a MASTERPIECE of music and art and visuals. All of you who were there know exactly what I'm talking about!! Burning Man's music scene doesn't get any better than this!

I started watching this on accident and i got sucked in.. what a great set!
This guy finally shows me that the electronic music is still alive!plays like an angel who brings the heaven to earth..thank u!!!!!
I was there. What you can't get a sense of is how loud that sound system really is. If you are anywhere in the first 20 metres you don't actually hear the music as one cohesive experience, instead you feel the blast of the sound waves first and everything else is fuzzy. The further out you go all of the sound waves converge and it sounds absolutely incredible (and wear your ear plugs!!) When you find that sweet spot it is a sublime experience.
MW sound system is wild.. I can't imagine what it sounded like when they linked up with RH
And can I just add.. monolink (and other live performers like Jan Blomqvist) have set the bar for electronic music. DJs take note... if all you are doing is beatmixing banger tracks one after the after its time to lift your game!

@@rhinoskin7550 I could feel the bass from MW and RH all the way back at the trash fence the night that they linked up. I was probably a good couple of miles away (a good 15 minute ride on my bike), which is pretty damn crazy. Like Marc said, it's really hard to get a sense of how loud it is up at the front - it just turns into a muffled blast of bass that you can feel through your bones. Pretty damn epic, but honestly I don't know how anyone can get that close, even with good earplugs.

I watched Monolink's 2018 set tens of times in preparation for my first burn in 2022. I had zero plans during my week in BRC except to see him perform this sunset concert on Mayan Warrior. I still can't believe I was there. It was every bit as epic as it looks.
Almost the same for me. Ive been to 4 burns but 2018 is the only year I missed. I've watched Monolinks YT video so many time. Seeing him in person on Friday was one of the highlights of the burn for me.

This set + Jan Blomqvist on Mayan Warrior were the only shows that I actually had on my Burning Man calendar and hot damn they didn't disappoint.
The comment section is full of over analyzer self hating peeps. Remember we don't live forever, life isnt all heart and roses for everyone, we are souls, here to experience moments like this! awesome set mid desert (I did it in 2015 feels like yesterday) stop picking on everything...it's like your face against the tree complaining about bugs in your face, ZOOM OUT! don't even look at the tree....see the whole Forrest and get lost in the horizon. In 50 years all the humans you experiencing life on planet earth as a whole will pass, life is short. Stop wasting time on hating judging and over analyzing, give yourself a rest.

That brief interlude where he breaks into "Time" by Pink Floyd in the encore is legendary. What an epic set. Seeing the massive crowd and the epic stage setup almost makes me wanna go to the Burn... then I remember how much WORK it would be! But bless everyone else's Burn!
Everything in this set is epic:
- The sound
- The set up in the desert
- At the begging it looks like a Mad Max movie and ends like a Disney Epcot Center light show
- The crowd
- The lights at the sunset and when the darkness arrives.
- The moment between 1:21:00 and 1:25:40

Then everything changed... But l suppose it's good, things change... I'm laying out in the sun with my fiance on our farm in the middle of the country in Missouri... I'm listening to this talented musician enjoying our hot weather, our big pond, the trees and birds, our little life and getting transported with the music into those long forgotten dimensions of our existence... I know many people including myself who were reset by his 2018 set- all of a sudden it was all over and so many people heard it while coming out of the plague depression- his set breathed new life into me as well- everything changed within 🙏🏻

I can only imagine how crazy it was to experience that live.
The moment when he asks "are you ready to rave" is one of those moments when you are standing there and suddenly you hear the most beautiful and crazy sounds and you realize that there are artists who are on a whole other level. I had that kind of experience with Tristan at Ozora 2018, it was mindblowing.
