As cool as this might look, I'm staying with the old cluster, it just fits the car so well and also I'm not going to cut away any plastic from the dashboard, even if no one would ever notice.
Really informative. I’ve been driving with this in my 3 series for a few days and haven’t done half of the setting changes that I should have done. I’ll go back on and change them today, the fuel tank thing is important as I didn’t do that One thing I would say is before installing this dash, you should check what the service intervals are set at the the original dash in place. So if there’s only 2,000 miles left for your brake fluid service for example, you should write that down and program it in to the new dash. When I installed this cluster, it told the I drive that all my service intervals were now set to the year 2106!! I’ve had to put my oem cluster back in, and make a note of when the service intervals are. I also didn’t know about getting this set to manual. Really handy video thanks for taking the time to do it
Glad you've found it useful for cross-model 👍 Re the fuel tank settings, please note the settings I used are for the E89 tank specs and not the E9x series. These specs "should" be correct from the factory for your tank size, but if you have any issues then contact your supplier who should be able to tell you the correct sizes to input 👍
I can assure you that you're not the only one who thinks this. There are plenty of owners that just prefer the original clocks, but there are some that like to change stuff. I've gone back to my original clocks, there was nothing wrong with the new ones, they were perfectly fine, but I'd spent money and time changing my originals for OEM cruise control version so I wanted them back in. This was always the intention from the start.
Will their be an update in the future for Apple Car Play integration? And/or will it work together with the Android Screen? 😊 thank you so much for your good and informative videos 🙏🏻
Hi just fitted this to my e90 everything works fine apart from when I open the door it shows me the opposite door example open driver door the display shows passenger door. I’ve been through the settings 100 times and I can’t forget this out. Any help would be much appreciated.
Hi, ex pat in Cape town. I fitted the cluster and working fine but noticed the door info is wrong when you open the drivers door it lights up the pass door. also theme selection does not change bottom right when selecting others.
I put hybrid option On to see what it does and it put efficedynamic 0% instead off battery voltage ,i turned off but it still stay "efficendynamic 0%" so i dont have voltage anymore ,i guess its some bug ,is there any way to reset a cluster
Alas, I can't say as I've not come across this. I did do this, but it went back to what it was previously. I would suggest contacting your supplier to see if they have a solution.
There is KM or only miles? And i have problem in the key when i try to open the car from far away not work, i tried to change the battery but still same problem it’s work only when I put it on the front glass on mirror.? If you can help me with this problem. Thanks 🙏🏻
Kph & Mph are both supported, as demonstrated at 32:15 in the video. As for your key not operating properly. There are two types of key, standard, where you press the buttons and have to have the key in the slot to start the car. The key has a built-in battery that is charged while in the slot. And Comfort Access, where you have keyless open Lock/Unlock of the doors and keyless start. This has a replaceable battery. This type can also work with the fob buttons and start with it in the slot. As to why it's only working close to the car I can't say without physically checking it out.
I have the Same Cluster for My BMW 1 Series F20 and i can Not Change the Shift From automatic to manual and the Vehicle in the Middle i also can Not hidde do you have and ideas
As for Auto/Manual, all the info I have is in the video with the code you need. Failing that, then you'll have to contact your supplier. As for the car image, I'll have a review video coming soon with the updated info in it for the car image etc.
Is in your Cluster in the Middle a Car Picture Not because on the Website there we can buy is a Picture with the Car in the Middle and in your Video Not ? Are the Vehicle hidden in the Cluster From you or is this Picture on the website older ?
@@BMWZ4Mods other cluster replacements (namely id4motion) interfere with the internal emissions checks that BMWs run on ignition. It's not visible during everyday use, but if checked with an OBD2 device certain sensors, like the O2 sensor will show as "incomplete" which makes them not pass US emissions testing... It was a pain to remove my cluster, replace it with the old one and drive it for 50+ miles just to be able to pass my yearly emissions test.
@@BMWZ4Mods thanks for the quick response. I'm just trying to decide whether I go for the idmotion unit or this one. This is significantly cheaper so it's very tempting. Looking forward to seeing a video with this dash when the car is in motion.
@@creationtools9541 I've installed the same one as this video, and I have to say that its easier to install than ID4Motion (only a small mod required), just as good quality, and actually very configurable to your personal taste. Go for it!
Pardon? Password for what? All settings menus that require codes are in the video. If you mean for the update then there is no password, just follow the instructions in that video

@@78jonybravo it's litres. We'll that's what I set it in, but my readout on the screen is in gallons, as this is swappable in settings.

I just did this install in my E89. Was an absolute nightmare. I’m curious to see how a real pro does this and how bad I cocked the job up
Was yours this version (ie; Chinese supplied) or the ID4Motion version?

I have the Same but the Code 0181 not Work by me, i have the Same for 1 Series My supplier is the same like yours

You need to update the cluster to the new firmware which you can get from your supplier. Then you'll be able to change between manual/automatic.

Sorry not sure what you are asking. This is only a cluster, it has nothing to do with the emissions.
