घरों को अपनी चीं..चीं से चहकाने वाली गौरैया(Sparrows) अब दिखाई नहीं देती। इस छोटे आकार वाले खूबसूरत पक्षी का कभी इंसान के घरों में बसेरा हुआ करता था और बच्चे बचपन से इसे देखते बड़े हुआ करते थे। अब स्थिति बदल गई है। गौरैया(Sparrows) के अस्तित्व पर छाए संकट के बादलों ने इसकी संख्या काफी कम कर दी है और कहीं..कहीं तो अब यह बिल्कुल दिखाई नहीं देती।
