Personally, I haven't encountered a Harley costume I prefer over the original, but there's a bit of me that feels like if she went back, it'd feel weird.
That’s an interesting sentiment, because I kinda agree. think it’s because she has become so far removed from the OG design she can never organically go back. Most characters who go through major redesigns for a run, will usually default to an evergreen/classic design once said run is over. However Harley has been changed over and over again, there hasn’t been a good point to return her back.
@@BBmetalhead04 Absolutely. Also that was a suit she wore when she was in a horribly toxic relationship, so it might not be wise for her to wear it again. I really like the suit she wore in Tom Taylor's run on Suicide Squad because it was a nice middle ground.
The one problem with Harley's look, is that there's A LOT of them, and i've counted, and there's about 80+ unique looks throughout the categories I've organized myself to go through suit designs: main comics, shows, movies, games, alternate universe, civvies, and fan arts (that are just THAT good). I wanted to draw them all, but I got exhausted doing the research for all of them lol
The bombshell series has been my favorite design for almost every character included. I got multiple posters, magnets, a deck of cards. Anything I can find.
25:20 I get what you’re trying to say about the New 52. There’s a flip side though. It brought new life long readers in (Myself included) I was only about 15 at the time. Had been catching up with Post Crisis stuff and when New 52 came out it made things not only easier BUT I as a new reader started to crave the old stuff or stuff that I missed I literally became a Connor Hawke fan in his absence haha and that’s why when things like DC Rebirth happen. It has SUCH a big impact
I really liked Harley’s Suicide Squad look. Margot Robbie’s version is the first time I’ve really thought of Harley as being hot (cuz it’s Margot Robbie). The fact that I find the look attractive helps it out for me. I definitely still prefer the jester suit though. I’d probably give it a B personally.
There was also the Harley who laughs. There’s Ame-Comi Harley. There’s the Infinite Frontier era Harley. Lego Harley was ok both in the movie and games.
future state Harley reminds me a lot like Jynx from LoL, I wonder if there was some inspiration it'd be funny. also the Joker 2 suit looks like a revised version of the Birds of Prey show one with a budget for materials.
What I think Harley's costumes are symbolic of is DC' slide towards gritty realism, which I am very not much a fan of. As for Lady Gaga as Harley... I was unsure at first, but I'm kinda interested. Plus, getting someone who can sing for a jukebox musical is never a bad idea.

All me to introduce you to Square Enix's Play Arts Kai Harley Quinn Figure with armor designed Tetsuya Normura
The Lego Batman Movie Harley was pretty good. Basically the roller derby costume, but it was neat to see it rendered in minifig form.

Also i remember hearing way back that the look Harley had in Gods n Monsters was supposed to be a deliberate parody of the new 52 look.
Assault on Arkham is my favorite alternative costume. It’s a good mix of modern and classic elements.

Always love the costume episodes!
Awesome show fellas
Could you do a best look for the Robins?

Dang they didn’t talk about her dark Prince Charming design or death metal
Its so funny to hear the critique phrase of "it insists upon itself." outside of family guy 😅

Bruno Redondo did short lived redesign for Tom Taylor's Suicide Squad run. I wish it had caught on because it was great.

That Joker sequel is gonna be the next Morbius, I swear. That’s gonna be a disrespect to jukebox musicals everywhere.
Is the Elseworlds Exchange back to weekly? If so YESSSSSSSSSSS!!!
Personally, I'm not a fan of the movie outfit. Or the blonde dyed tips on any outfit really
Have you guys seen the Square Enix Nomura Harley. I that one is pretty good.
It like trying to reinvent the wheel.
1st is the best, wish they would go back to it.
"A" tier harley is Harley beyond from batman beyond
It always bothered me that Harley from BTAS has yellow-ish teeth.
Im extremely biased I love Amanda Conners work.
I've never enjoyed the original costume. It's never looked good to me
