To answer your dbz question, the big 3 were 3 major shonens that came up after DBZ finished, one piece, Naruto, and bleach. All of them found huge commercial success hence the name big 3. It’s more of just a title of the time but these days a lot of people treat it as a matter of competition

Kanji for strawberry is 苺 (can be written in hiragana too) and kanji for Ichigo's name is 一護, though even if it's using different kanji, the joke/meaning can still be preserved - in the manga the last chapter is even called "Death and Strawberry"
With how close it is, you did miss some of Ichigo’s bars, I get not knowing the show, but some still hit that you missed. “Sending Hashira’s off to an early retirement” hit like a TRUCK.
Except it’s false. Those hashira were gonna fight those Demons anyway. Tanjiro didn’t drag them into a fight and get them hurt. Things would have gone worse without him. That line just like his rengoku finishing line are shock bait. They play on emotional subjects to trick you into thinking their hard when they don’t actually say anything

@@raylevi5343 if it’s not actually a diss then his rap loses points. If I hear a line and immediately think “but your lying” it’s not gonna convince me he won the battle it’s gonna cost him points. And tanjiro’s lines were just as hard while also being mostly true.

Ichigo had one to when he brought up demon slayers plot but even in that case his line was weak because it was only kinda true of demon slayer and more true of bleach itself.

@@raylevi5343 his insult against nezuko was nonsense. He actually lost points from me for such a lame line. He insulted zenitsu but that line was weak as shit so only a few points. His situation with the hashira was sad so he earned a few points with those lines but neither of those Situations were his fault so not as many as tanjiro scored on him. His insult to the plot was both wrong and applied to his own show more so again loses points for that. His dense line was weak but he did still get a few points for it since it was still technically an insult. His muzan line was nonsense again it was honestly his weakest line. No points. All his bars were weak insults barely worth anything, False, or not disses.

Listen listen listen. The ichigo second verse was a little more need to know but the disses were crazy. When I first heard the “sure g” scheme I was mean facin like crazy.
I mean they were both punching but I feel Ichigo just had more ammunition because of how tragic they make Tanjiros story and how they kill off all the people around him.

Ichigo is pretty straightforward character not many tragedies or hardships that he had to go through. But that can be a diss in itself.
But how does that make his bars better? Sure reminding a guy his famil and friends died is mean so it gets some points for that factor of a battle but tanjiro didn’t do anything that caused any of those deaths so those bars aren’t disses. Their shock bait

Plus it was both good defense and offense. Tanjiro got down and dirty too mentioning his mother and the friends that got kidnapped but that that got turned around back at him real fast by Ichigo mentioned all his dead loved ones making Ichigo better in comparison.

Tanjiro had no way to even try to help his family, and while you could argue he could have helped rengoku and tengan more he still made the situations they walked into by their choice better then they would have been without him. Magen train without tanjiro would end with rengoku and the passengers dead. Red light without tanjiro ends with tengan dead easy. I’d say tanjiro still comes out better in that exchange

Yeah. Common misconception. The Big 3 refer to the ones the popularize anime in the west. For a while DBZ was a the only universal known anime (in the West). It wasn't until Bleach, One Peice, and Naruto came out that anime started becoming a part of western pop culture.

Yeah this one was savage. Both of them ATE, and I love Demon Slayer, but I Bleach is one of my favorite anime and manga of all time so I have to give it to Connor on principle.
Some people have already said it but yeah, the big 3 were long, ongoing anime that more or less "carried the shonen torch" after DBZ ended. Naruto, One Piece, and Bleach are all shows with 500+ episodes and were all airing around the same time, hence the title.
