Actually some of that stuff was released as DLC. Remember when Joe mentioned that Mike and Derek have some better Jobs for you? Some of these better Jobs then became the two Jimmy DLCs. That's why the Junkyard and Docks appear as Map Symbols where you could have been able to accept some sideleine Missions like stealing Cars. And who knows what the other Jimmy Missions were supposed to be.

Ahmed _shouk Story was generic, Lincoln Clay was a bland revenge protagonist, the game strayed from the immersion and realism 1 and 2 had, the gameplay in 3 was incredibly boring and repetitive... I can go on but that's enough

Mafia has mainly perfect car models and driving model, it's better than in most of today games. Graphics is old because it's 17 years old game. Mafia from 2002 still has much better graphics than San Andreas from 2004. I think problems with shadows are only on modern computers, I think it was ok 15 years ago. Show me open world or city action game from 2002 which looks better than mafia. Probably there are games with better graphics, but Mafia is not one of that bad looking game in that time. Look for example on TES: Morrowind, it's from 2002 too and it looks like 1999. Kids don't remember how big was that graphic jump between 2001 and 2005. 2002 games looked like Mafia and 2 years in the future there is FarCry, Doom 3 etc....it was really huge jump.

Tacoraptor The city / map is quite empty. Beautiful graphics, but nothing to interact with except some stores and workshops. Seemed the publisher ran out of money. It could have been a awesome game. Mafia I is by far better!
Even if mafia 2 is unfinished it doesn't feel unfinished or trash. It feels exactly like a mafia game. Improves lot of stuff from previous title and delivers a strong narrative. I don't see how people say its a bad game while its literally nearly the same thing as mafia 1. Personally i also think mafia 2 has better story then mafia 1. Its more grounded and well explained. Characters are also far more interesting on mafia 2.

I remember when Mafia 3 was released I was so excited since I’m a huge fan of Mafia and Mafia 2. But a week after I bought Mafia 3 I returned it, because it was super glitchy and everything felt as if I was playing a early PS3 game..

I knew the game will not be as good as mafia 2 story wise is when they released the trailer. But I still expected it to be a good game but when it came out it was a huge disappointment. Pretty much everything about the game aside from the music is shit especially the story. I buy and play the series to experience the story of the people and the power struggle inside the Italian mafia of the us, not some black guy running around the city getting revenges on the mobs while fighting racism, and the plot is full of bullshit. It’s mafia and I don’t care about any other shit, this game is full of that political correct shit. A similar example is people buy the game series yakuza to experience the story about a yakuza member and the Japanese mob in japan and nothing else. This story probably would be good if given it’s own title or a as a side story, but no they didn’t and that how they fucked up. And the game physics made it worse. Still for me the biggest flaw is the story. At lease I can get use to the shitty physics since watchdogs has even worse physics.

King Croft, it is original and we should praise the game for it. If all the games were the same, the gaming industry wouldn't be fun anymore, it is fine to try something new. But apart from that, MP3 was already a desperate step, because Max's good old story ends in MP2 and MP3 is like a new episode, totally unrelated to MP2 (apart from flashbacks, which I did appreciate). More or less, MP3 was a nice epilogue and a sane reason not to make MP4, because in my opinion, it would be trash with a nonsense story.
It gets a lot of love already. Real underrated games are JC series, SR series, those games were gems, however, gamers seem to like realism more than fun. Btw, realism removes features of the game and limits the player. Many series changed that but were never noticed and instead thrown away and forgotten. Mafia 2 is still one of my most favorite games but i dont get these comments.

I've never had much interest in games even having played with some of them but... Mafia 2 is something to appreciate, appart from being a game itself, the story, the changing time during the game and its details changing with it, cars, music, etc... It really is something accurate and with a crazy ammount of "period-correct" good quality details.
If you like story and soundtrack then mafia 1 is better than 2, for the rest other things, 2 is an upgrade

Mafia 1 blows mafia 2 out of the water. The car handling and physics is better and more enjoyable (especially on the PC), the shooting is more enjoyable and actually challenging, there are far more memorable missions in Mafia 1 than Mafia 2 (a lot of missions were forgettable in Mafia 2 compared to Mafia 1), far more interesting main characters and also side characters in Mafia 1 (besides Vito, Joe and Henry who else is really memorable in Mafia 2?) The cars are WAAAYYY better in Mafia 1 compared to Mafia 2, I mean you have to be fucking kidding me if you don't believe so. Also there's far more variety of cars in Mafia 1 and you have to unlock them with side missions from Ralph or Lucas which is super fun and rewarding in its own way and adds more spice to the game than just the main missions and most importantly the storyline of the game is way better than Mafia 2.
@@hanzo7616 I don't think they're that much better... I find handling way more real in 2... Owning a few cars from that age in real life with their "terrible" handling.... Yes... cars of the 40's and 50's just don't handle at all, maybe except from some Chrysler Corp. products with torsion bar suspension systems from the mid 50's and on... But if you've ever driven for example an early 50's straight 8 Buick... You must know what they are... That's why I find them more realistic, plus some of the cars are based on real models. So I'm not "fucking kidding" anyone hahaha I played on Xbox I think it was... Then, about missions, history, etc.. I don't remember much about mafia 1 right now, but 2 is very accurate if we talk about period-correct details.

I know people have their differend mindsets and some people like one thing and others like another, but in the game and especially in the movie industries if the clients are not bitching even a little bit, then they won't even try to make the next thing good or better, because they know that the majority of the people are going to consume it regardless like a mindless zombies and even if someone dislikes it the weave of cult following the franchise will destroy him and the rest of the ''haters''. the first mafia game definitively seems superior to both, the vehicle physics are realistic and fun to mess with unlike the second game where they think slippery physics is realism or in third where you can fly with the car intentionally for whatever reason, the story is definitively better than seeing some guy remembering memories for no reason or seeing some guy wanting to take revenge on everyone from all of the sudden killing them with his own hands, the first game doesnt have some time consuming refuel animation, the second game felt like more of an singleplayer RP game with a completely unfinished-like end and lack of other modes such as freeride, the third game feels totally unfinished, the second game has a very overpowered and ridiculous thing that you can simply push the engines carburetor and the engine returns to work, the third game has no italian mafia essence to it at all, the first game felt a lot more alive with these trams and other stuff which made the city feel more complete, only the first game has melee weapons, and such.
@Ronen Salathe i didnt say vehicle deformation. i do admit the deformation was a little bit boring though, it only made the bumper a little more messed up and removed the headlights, but one thing they atleast did was real-time deformation which was pretty advanced for that time.

yeah. I would take Mafia 3 out of every picture in comparison with the previous ones, because its simply bad since the begining (im only playing it bc i want to complete the trilogy, and i love to see scaletta once again). Mafia Lost Heaven, for its time, it was revolucionary, and for that, its probably the best one... the remake, i dont know...i think its mediocre. But my favorite will always be the 2. Its an amazing attention to detail, unfortunately it had a problematic development and it wasnt even finished...someday maybe

I never played Mafia 3 but like the storyline of Mafia 1 and Mafia 2.
Mafia 1 where the main character(I forgot the name) let go of that family man and lied about killing him.
Mafia 2 where the main character settle the scores with his father's killer, Beat the abusive boyfriend of his sister, and many more memorable moments. I was in my OL classes when I played this.

Mafia I was released in 2002 so obviously, it has some pretty bad graphics nowdays but back then, the game was extremely realistic.

Tbh, I have Mafia 3 on my PS4 pro but even tho I never played Mafia 2, I'll still prefer 2 over 3 because 2 has the best cops, realistic gunshot sound effects, and realistic damage look when you crash your car even the best fighting moves and skills and I would get Mafia 2 on my PS3 slim but the only part that I like about 3 is that the story place where they was still racist even tho I'm a black male, the story was real about racism so I like mafia 2 and 3. First Mafia game was great,i still play it from time to time. Mafia 2 looks good, great details, but between thoose two i will always choose first one. Mafia 3, crap like no other
