Me and the bears often bumped into each other, they come out only when it’s very very quiet, so it was surprises for both end, sometimes we even facing each other, then they just turn around and walked away peacefully. The rhodies are gorgeous, the flow of the garden beckons the wanderer to explore and inhale the exuberant beauty. the paths wind deliciously through the woods, the ferns, the pond, the rocks, the Japanese maples, the nine barks (I can tell you love your nine barks (🙂! ), Hostas, iris, alliums, columbines, weigelas, statues, art pieces, everything perfectly placed. This garden was not slapped together in a few days. This is a masterpiece of years, if not decades of love and labor and careful thought. Simply wonderful! Thank you for sharing. Oh yeah... Love your friendly bear! So glad he has a lovely playground to wander through.

Why not in a small garden? Yes defiantly you can create a peaceful oasis in your space, lay out the foundation trees and shrubs first, then work around them with what works in your environment rather just the plants you think you like but never thrive. Also, remember that “less is more” especially in a smaller scale, meaning less variety so your eyes can rest. All I have is passion and diligence, if I can do it, you can too! Your new hydrangeas are looking very stunning around your boarders. Did you put in a new path to the one pond that’s near the pillars? I don’t remember seeing it before. I love the pops of color the alliums bring to the garden. This is the first year I have had them in my garden. They are becoming one of my favorite. Good morning Mary! Yes some of the new hydrangea plants are doing really well but some aren’t, I am trying hard to keep them alive without rain, but thank God we had quite a shower last evening after who knows how long it has been, what can we do without God’s help? No, my wisteria already passed her prime moment this year with very little blooming, you can’t even noticed much of colors from a distance, and each flower was not as showy as previous years, I guess she needs some rest after all that heavy labor plus last year’s drought, now she put out all her healthy leaf to let me know she is ok. I love alliums, some years ago in spring I spotted a massive flower bed filled with thousands of alliums right outside of the Old South Church in Boston, the flower heads are huge like a child’s head, so happy! Ever since I started this fever., I guess you now joined the club, welcome😃The pathway leads to the Kirin Pond was short before, since I ripped out more lawns, I added a few more stepping pavers and some ground covers around it, I can’t wait all my hydrangea from cuttings in this area to be mature. Nina and Alexandria are not only perfectly maintenance free, helps to beautify my garden too😜 have a nice weekend Mary🐻🐸

Your new hydrangeas are looking very stunning around your boarders. Did you put in a new path to the one pond that’s near the pillars? I don’t remember seeing it before. I love the pops of color the alliums bring to the garden. This is the first year I have had them in my garden. They are becoming one of my favorite. I never tire of seeing Nina & Alexandria tucked away reading their books. Your wisteria should be making a show on your arbor soon. Can’t wait to see it in all its glory!
Good morning Mary! Yes some of the new hydrangea plants are doing really well but some aren’t, I am trying hard to keep them alive without rain, but thank God we had quite a shower last evening after who knows how long it has been, what can we do without God’s help? No, my wisteria already passed her prime moment this year with very little blooming, you can’t even noticed much of colors from a distance, and each flower was not as showy as previous years, I guess she needs some rest after all that heavy labor plus last year’s drought, now she put out all her healthy leaf to let me know she is ok. I love alliums, some years ago in spring I spotted a massive flower bed filled with thousands of alliums right outside of the Old South Church in Boston, the flower heads are huge like a child’s head, so happy! Ever since I started this fever., I guess you now joined the club, welcome😃The pathway leads to the Kirin Pond was short before, since I ripped out more lawns, I added a few more stepping pavers and some ground covers around it, I can’t wait all my hydrangea from cuttings in this area to be mature. Nina and Alexandria are not only perfectly maintenance free, helps to beautify my garden too😜 have a nice weekend Mary🐻🐸

Hi Catherine! I was just talking to my husband today about giving this big fellow a name since it visited me twice in just couple of weeks. I have quite a few different ones visit me in the past, I wish to know if they are boy or girl except one time, it’s a momma bear came with two cubs😃🐻🐻🐻 Sure I kept myself far away from them😂 They are all so cute and precious ❤️ Thank you again for liking my garden🐝

Thank you for liking my garden🐸 I also grew up in a big city and always have been working in big cities until 20 years ago, suburban town is OK for now but my desire is to live in the Mountain 🐻 black bear is very gentle, rarely bother human begin, they seem like my garden, and I consider they are my friends 😊🐻🐿🐝🦋🐸

the bear strolling around took me by surprise
My 🐻 🐻 🐻 come and go as they like, sometimes even cubs with momma bear😊 I make sure that wildlife enjoy this garden as much as I do. Thank you for visiting my garden too❤️
